  1. Drove my son and I to church, wife and daughter had to head in early. Then after church, my son and I went and filled it up for the first refuel, grabbed some Burger King, went to the automated car wash (first bath), and drove home.
  2. Looking for one that’s more concealed within the grill. Suggestions?
  3. Yesterday, we cleaned out our storage locker (2 months behind schedule). Last night, I adapted my list of mods from my ‘15 for what I want to do & going to do to my ‘18. Removed the antenna earlier this week. Found my tow hitch brake light (broken frame) and My first one, going to see about making one complete one that only lights up when brakes are used. The broken one uses both elements when lit, and my original one only uses the brake element. Took the tail light out of them, and found a way with the second one to tie both elements together. One day soon, the two shall become one and be installed on my truck.

  5. More & more stormtrooper-like.
  6. My previous truck would get a lot of desert sand in the tubes. Removed them after about 2 years, no sand. They’re made of plastic, and fit very snug. I know a few guys have sealed them in place with RTV or something.
  7. @STRMTRPR most likely got them off of Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Red-Hound-Auto-Compatible-Silverado/dp/B01N94IGOG/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=Chevrolet|47&Model=Silverado 1500|491&Year=2018|2018&ie=UTF8&n=15684181&newVehicle=1&s=automotive&vehicleId=1&vehicleType=automotive
  8. That’s just one of the many reasons to plug them.
  9. Picked up my new truck a week ago. I’m still on the mend, doc just recently (day before I got my truck) allowed me to start walking on it, and still hurts some around the break.
  10. OH, trust me, they are all thin leads like that. I used my smallest jewelers screwdriver/awl to make room for the leads to go in. You will notice that mine was not as tight as Phil’s. My fogs were set to go ON with HIGHs. My picture is from my ‘15 that was totaled back in July.
  11. I’m healed up for the most part. Last Friday (September 14), Doc said I could start walking on it. That afternoon, we drove by AV Chevy, and looked from the street to see what was on the lot, went home and browsed their website, chatted online with their online sales rep, and narrowed it down to four Midnight Editions (2 @ 5.3L & 2 @ 6.2L). Saturday afternoon, we went back to AV Chevy, had them bring them forward, looked them over, test drove one (that had EVERYTHING I wanted in it), and BOUGHT IT!!! My wife kept saying that I never buy anything for myself, and to get what I wanted. “Woman, if you only really understood what hell you just released!” I started my new album for this truck, and have a list of what I want to do to her. Which reminds me, I need to go add a couple things to my list.
  12. Daughter had me drive her (Miss Edwards AFB 2018) and her Little Miss in the Rosamond Military Appreciation Parade this morning. Crossed the 100 “yard line” on the way home from the parade. I’ll be editing this post later, when I get pictures. Miles pictures are from when I got in the driveway. Edited 3 minutes ago by Ravenkeeper

  14. I usually do something along this line with my mower gas, at the end of October. Surrendered my 2=stroke gas to the neighborhood landscapers, today, when they came by to clean up my yard, lawn equipment is still baried from our move, haven’t had the chance to get in the garage and clean/set-it-up, since the accident. When I was a teenager, my dad and I would occasionally go to the junk yard for parts for his 72 Datsun pickup, and drain gas from some of the cars/trucks that had the parts we needed. We would strain it coming out of the tank and again going into his truck’s tank. BUT, definitely strain it putting it in the next tank.
  15. My new ride. Replaced my totaled 2015 with this BEAUTIFUL 2018 Midnight Edition.

  17. Foot injuries, and doctor told me Friday that I can start “limited” walking on it, around the house. X-rays show that the 2-4 meditarsals are healed, but there is still some pain in my foot as I put weight on it. 4 more weeks until my next follow-up, and until I may return to work.
  18. Yup, I had a choice in that matter.
  19. My daughter took a picture of it, last night, while we were out getting frozen yogurt.
