  1. Unfortunately, @$$HOLE is still at large.
  2. Looks just like what I’m looking at replacing my ‘15 Silverado LTZ Z71 with, other than the mustache.
  3. I’m pretty sure that it’s totaled. None of the GM dealerships in the AV have a body shop, they off-site their body work. Front left A-arm is SEVERED, fender is missing (or at least I have no idea where it is), and I’m pretty sure the engine is toast.

  5. Wife and kids had seatbelt bruising, son has bruised rib(s) from being pinned to the door during the spin, and I have a broken foot. I had to be pulled out, as both of my feet were independently pinned, and my seatbelt would NOT release. Had several nurses, during my ER trip that night and with the family yesterday, say that they were surprised and glad that I was still alive. http://www.desertnews.com/news/article_f7cae706-7e1e-11e8-aed4-af9e25d44838.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=email&utm_campaign=user-share May get another Silverado. Not sure if I want to stay with the 1500 or get a 2500. BUT, I am set on getting a “Midnight Edition,” regardless of whatever truck I get.
  6. Not today, but last night. Went to church yesterday morning, ate lunch on Edwards AFB (with the family), then we went to Tehachapi to buy a twin bed frame for my daughter, then to Home Depot to buy a few things for our new house, and then went home via Tehachapi Willow Springs Rd. Had some stupid kamikaze moron illegally pass us and the truck in front of us on a double yellow, blind curve, over a hill. Said MORON almost ran into the oncoming car, but that person swerved off into the dirt, over corrected, and came straight into us. The four of us are ok, I have a broken foot, #2/3/4 meditarpals. Wife and kids are going in to be better examined than by the EMTs on the scene. Wife has some swelling in her right hand, daughter has seatbelt bruising (mostly from the buckle), and son appears to be fine. Wife/daughter were sitting on the right side, and son was behind me.

  8. Edited Edited my original to reflect, going back to edit it again/more.

  10. I've seen some guys use that USB for their phone holder, on the left side of the steering wheel, in the pocket/cubby, if you don't have factory installed trailer brake controller.
  11. Commuting home (SR-14 NB around Aqua Dulce) from a business trip. Saw a Chevy Silverado 3500 with CA tags that read “1 ELEVN.” Maybe it’s relative, maybe not, as I use to work on F-111s, back in the day.
  12. So my weekend was BUSY, so I'm posting now, while I'm waiting on parts for my aircraft. Friday, while I was at work, can't take my phone in with me, my wife texts me, and our message exchange went like this: "Can you wash the truck today, for a parade tomorrow?" (saw it at lunch) "UMMMM.........." (5 minute delay) "NO!!!!!!" "Thought they were using Tyler's truck/trailer?" Of course, I got no answer until I got home, and then "it's too dark out." Midnight, with DAYLIGHT bulbs lighting up the driveway, at 66ºF? Ended up waiting until 6am, my son and I went to the wash facility on Edwards AFB, spent about $5. Did an okay job for being the high pressure sprayer and "scrub/suds brush. (Picture will be posted/added at lunch tonight) Since we were on base, she wanted us to pick up a few things to borrow for the parade, which even furthered my late arrival to the "lineup area." Was supposed to be in Leona Valley by 0730, but arrived at 0815. AND TYLER'S TRUCK/TRAILER WAS THERE!!!!
  13. Got a voltmeter? Have you done any mods to your headlights just before it quit working?
  14. The tow mirror puddle lights point back, and may blind you, in reverse. My puddle lights point down, DL3 mirrors. GRY1 is interior lights, GRY8 is Puddle Lights. For your friend's truck, BRN26 to GRY8 (stripped end), may be "a bit of a stretch." For with the key fob, he probably has the vehicle locator settings ON.
  15. Ran 1N4004 diode from reverse lights (Blue w/ Brown, BCM-BRN-26) to cargo lights (Brown w/ White, BCM-PNK-26). Striped end toward PNK26. PINK has 27 slots, 27 is usually empty. The included picture is mine, Fogs on with HIGHS, Cargo on with Reverse, and Puddles on with Interiors/Unlock/Open-Door.
  16. Give them a 1/4 turn (I forget which direction) each, drive that way for a couple weeks, then adjust again, if they keep flashing you. I uploaded a image of how to do adjust them, somewhere, but the trick, with that one, is to have a flat driveway/parking lot and a garage door/wall @ 90º angle with pavement.
  17. Is it the shadow(s), or is the shell just a touch too long? Looking at getting one for mine.
  18. From the album: Ravenkeeper's 2015 Silverado LTZ Z71 (Black) w/ Off-Road Package

Had my CB antenna configured incorrectly on the mount, giving me high SWR, so I reconfigured it correctly and replace a bent heavy duty spring with a super duty barrel spring.

  19. Moving from California City to Rosamond. The drive from the house to Plant 10 (Palmdale) SUCKS!!! The only good thing about the drive to/from Palmdale, yesterday, was listening to a few guys talking on CB19 from Lancaster, Wyoming, and Idaho. Was wondering what they were shooting this week. Figured it was either "First Man," or "Captain Marvel."
  20. Been having a "rollercoaster" week: Sunday, drove to/from church, grabbed some groceries on the way home, Monday, took the day off, had to race out to kids' high school to change a tire on daughter's Cruze, made it in time to watch my son in the HS' play that evening, Tuesday, went looking at houses, found the house we want, got it into escrow, went to work, followed shortly after by a trip to Kaiser Urgent Care, for me, where they told me that my foot was broke, Wednesday, Palmdale to get workman's comp going, and Today (Thursday), another trip to DR (second opinion), NOT BROKE, and back to work.

  22. That's where my phone holder is. Been toying with the idea of putting my brake controller, when I get one, in the side pocket of the center console, near the front.
