  1. My daughter took this one, with my iPhone, while we were out for frozen yogurt, in Lancaster (CA).
  2. My neighbors and I were discussing that last night. Glad you are okay. How about the rest of your family?
  3. What did I do today/tonight? PICKED UP MY NEW 2018 SILVERADO MIDNIGHT EDITION!!!! Pictures to come, tomorrow/soon.

  5. I know the feeling, been hobbling around on crutches since 1 July. Hopefully, I’ll get some “good news” on Friday, my next (3rd) follow-up appointment.
  6. Friday, my wife and I went to see a lawyer about the accident. Afterwards, we went to lunch and to go see the few 19s on the Chevy lot, as well as some of their 18s. They even had a couple 18.5s, leftover 18 frames and few parts, but finished out with 19 parts. The only thing about them that I didn’t like, they were double cabs.
  7. The actual plan that I ran with is in the mods under $50 thread. I made a few small adjustments from his to make it work better to my liking. I put mine in upside down from what he did, and notched the “round sides” to allow it to fit better in the pocket. I had to drill a small (3/8”) hole in the bottom of my center console, where he had a USB in his upper glovebox.
  8. Had my phone mounted here. 10’ power/data cable, suction phone holder trimmed down, and was about to put a bolt, washers and nut in to better secure it. Had I installed the bolt, washers, and nut, it would not have fell out of the pocket during my accident. Looking at reusing this phone holder if my next truck does not have the brake controller installed.
  9. Did this mod to my ‘15, shortly after I bought it. There is no daylight sensor for the interiors. I noticed that when I unlocked the truck, opened any/all of the doors, and if I turned on the interior lights with the ON/DOOR/OFF switch (not with the individual switches) the puddles would come on. Even driving down the highway, if you flip the ON/DOOR/OFF switch to the ON position, the puddles would light up the sides of the truck.
  10. Yeah, kind of. Been almost 7 weeks, since the accident. INS paid off my truck around the 2 week mark. Been waiting on CHP to release it from investigation impound, so INS could pick it up. INS will be transporting it, either today or tomorrow. The guys at AV Towing, while we were there, asked if there was anything else that we want from the truck. I’ve thought about taking the tonneau cover, but I want a different one on the new truck. Besides, it wouldn’t fit in my wife’s CR-V.
  11. Signed to release her from AV Towing to my insurance company, who will be moving it to Victorville, CA, I THINK, their phone number is from there.

  13. Got a call the other day from CHP, my truck is officially released from impound and is property of Antelope Valley Towing, in Palmdale. If you want any parts off of my ‘15 Silverado LTZ Z71, you will have to get with AV Towing. All of my personal property is removed, CB, scanner, CB Antenna, phone holder,, CDs, etc.

  15. Sorry for the loss of your Taco, but definitely glad that you are okay. Sunday, that same week, we were in a head-on fatality, caused by third vehicle that was being stupid, passed on a blind curve going over a hill. 3 broken meditarples in my left foot. My family was with me, wife & daughter had bruised sternums from their seatbelts, and my son had a bruised rib from the door, when we were thrown into a spin. On/Around Labor Day, I intend on getting my new truck.

  17. We are. I got the worst of it, broken foot, and the rest of my family has/had seatbelt bruising. The other guy was “ran off the road” by a moron passing us and the truck in front of us, going into a blind curve, over a hill. He then lost control on the dirt shoulder by over correcting, re-enterred the road, airborn, watched his front wheels flip from left (to get on the road) to full right. EMTs were saying that he was dead on impact. The moron is still out there somewhere. The truck in front of us couldn’t keep up with him, trying to get more information to give CHP. He was overheard saying that the moron was doing more than 100MPH.

  19. The third vehicle, black Hyundai, made no contact with any of the other vehicles involved, caused the wreck, and ran like a bat out of hell.
  20. It was. Went yesterday afternoon/evening to retrieve a few things from her. “Joey’s” car was inside the evidence shed, about 40ft away. Was a little rough, seeing his car there.
  21. I’ve seen a couple of midnights with red hooks, cause they removed them, sanded them, and repainted them, OR they cheated and ordered red replacements.
  22. Thanks! Dual Dash Cams are on order for all our vehicles, to include my “repaired” or new truck.
  23. Well, after Sunday evening, looks likes I may have to start my <$50 mods all over again. We’re okay. I have a broken foot, wife and kids have seatbelt bruises, wife sprained a couple knuckles, and son has a bruised rib or two from the left rear door (during the spin). I was pinned at both feet, individually. Left foot was pinned between the E brake and some floorboard, and my right foot was pinned between some floorboard and the center console. Wife and kids (truely) walked away,, and I “walked away” on a stretcher. Now to see what insurance says. http://www.desertnews.com/news/article_f7cae706-7e1e-11e8-aed4-af9e25d44838.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=email&utm_campaign=user-share
