  1. I kinda hate this time of year. Too hot for snow tires and to cool for the all season 22s it would seem. At least the vib is intermittent. Im finding lately just driving the crap out it seems to fix a lot of issues... I've discovered that when my truck vibrates due to being in too high a gear at too low a speed is fixed easily by pushing the accelerator to the floor. The tuner taught me how to drive this truck. Hard.
  2. I also had it tuned, 2 new rear ends and a new drive shaft. so it was more than tires on mine. I'm just glad mine was finally fixed. It also has been said on this thread that there is more than one cause for this vibration problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. In my case warranty covered it all. The crap Bridgestone Duellers were sent back to manufacturer and Michelin Defenders were installed because they are a very good tire. I drive my truck every day 130 kph smooth as glass. I think in my case GM realized it was cheaper to buy good tires over buying back my truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The Michelins that are now on my truck meet the 15 lb spec. My truck no longer vibrates. The tires were replaced under warranty. It has been mentioned numerous times in this thread, sometimes by me, that this is the spec for these trucks.
  5. My dealer said the same thing, 15lbs.
  6. The frame treatment on our trucks is pretty disappointing. I noticed a co workers F150 has a nice shiny black painted frame and that made me kinda mad. Mines rusty and only 8 months old. I've been contemplating getting it looked at by the dealer but geez another f n issue. I'm probably not gonna keep it long enough to worry about it so I dunno...
  7. My rims are 22"
  8. Last week I had 4 new Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires installed. After few days driving I am happy to report that most of the vibration is gone. There is a small intermittent vib at around 125kph. These tires are phenomenal.
  9. A good dealer can make all the difference in the world. Sometimes the little guys will go that extra little bit just to retain a customer. My dealer has been phenomenal, they recognize there's an issue and are doing the best they can to fix. I just had 4 Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires installed, again my dealer doing that little bit extra trying to fix the problem. Will update once I've driven at freeway speeds, but so far things are looking good.
  10. finally a nice day so my truck got a bath for picture day free photo upload
  11. Maybe GM discovered a problem and changed it for 16. Who knows. Tightening seems to be working for some and thats good. Didn't help mine at all so thats not good but now at least maybe the rear axle won't fall off.
  12. i do a yearly trip to NB and discovered bumps is something you have a lot of there. Hopefully a new tire fixes things up. Maybe try re-torquing the leaf spring u-bolts. Has helped a few out here with vibration and clunks.
  13. My buddies perfect non vibrator is heading to the shop.... guess what for? I told him maybe it just lost a wheel weight and not to worry.. yet . I think this is pay back, he was kinda makin fun of my vibrator last week.
  14. VentVisors, Hood Protector, Tonneau, Factory Nav and Diablo Tune.
  15. Very nice. Best colour IMHO. One of the reasons I kept my 15 is because the 16 don't offer it. I often have to correct folks when they call my truck brown. Will post a pic once I give it a bath.
  16. Hope new dealer can help you out. Mine is at least trying and mine is 90% better.
  17. Oh forgot to add. Service Manager was at some kind of dealer conference. #1 concern from the dealers was the vibration problems these trucks have. Thankfully only a few have it. He insists that GM is looking for a solution though... He's a nice kid . Probably any day now lol. Yous can get the news guy to cancel the article, not necessary.
  18. I've removed the snows and put the 22s back on. Different vibration than before. Starts at about 115 and goes away about 128. Convinced its tire related. My service manager agrees says he will road force balance them again. I tell him he gonna wear that hunter out. I'm going for replacements, hoping Michelin.. wish me luck. There's only about 8000kms on them and they're already whining on the highway. Bridgestone Duellers... had them on my 2009 louder than a tractor trailer with 30k on them. I suppose I could drive speed limit OPP pretty expensive at 130. GM makes a great truck though aye.
  19. I've been contemplating putting mine back to 45ish but I guess you are supposed to replace u-bolts after tightening them once. I'm getting the 22s back on today so I'll see how it rides and go from there.
  20. Hmmm was just thinking 1-3% of the 1.9 million trucks is like 19000-57000.
  21. Pro-active dealer. Imagine if they all did this. Might be a few less posts here.
  22. I've been doing a little shopping and it is interesting the rebates GM advertises. Mostly smoke and mirrors IMHO. Give the truck a fancy name with $10000 value in accessories and a cash discount. I'm not finding any 25% discount here but overall GMs are a bit less money. I was curious about the reasons behind incentives which ultimately is sales so I had a look at YTD Canadian sales stats. GM (Sierra Silverado combined) are in 3rd trailing 2nd place Ram. Wow could it be that the Canadian consumer is finally sick of GM. The only news releases here in Canada from GM is scare tactics around closing Oshawa. Or is it that the word is out that these trucks are 3rd rate. I know at my work place I own the only new GM truck. Most other new trucks are Ford. I was surprised that word there has got around about the problems my truck has had. I guess they noticed that all I drove was a loaner vehicle and it didn't help when the rear window exploded in the parking lot when I opened the door. Anyway I hope the heck I don't end up trading so soon, but so far the lemon hasn't been co-operating.
