Power sliding rear window
Csjumper2003 replied to Deepellumautoglass's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Ok changed out from solid and now have a power slider. @pgamboa really helped me out. This guy knows the wiring of these trucks like the back of his hand. So if someone wanted it shipped and paid for it, the solid is available to ship now as well. Packed in box ready to go. This is after the swap. She is a sexy one. If anyone wants to n ow where motor is this is where you place it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

What a ride. I have completed this task that was well a small pain, but seems that I am one of the few and with only having to source a few parts online and frompgamboa and his business @harnessdr He helped me by walking me through what I had and what to check for. Seems I needed an x2 fuse block for the relay to run it as well as motor and then the studs to mount it. I bought the fuse block frompgamboa and got motor on eBay. Seems they are hard to find. Phil really helped me out as for 4 years I’ve wanted this option and really didn’t know which wires and where to look for them. With a few mins on a chat I was able to check each location for the wires needed and as I said got lucky that I had many of the wires ran. I ordered the glass slider, the motor, the x2 fuse block from Phil and the upper console to get the oem switch. The last thing I’m currently waiting on is the trim right under the slider. This is different than the one if you have a solid window so either you trim to fit what you got or have to source exactly what you need. In searching here are the parts and some quick picks. I don’t have part number for x2 but I’m surepgamboa can help you out with that if needed. These are for my 2015 but should be at least 2015-2018. I would say 14 but was told there is hit and miss as 14 was a turnover year. GM Power slider Motor 23490454 Console. Can be many as depends on options X2 fuse block with relays Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If someone in Cali wanting time swap a solid glass for slider let me know. Otherwise gonna work on getting aftermarket one and make the oem switch work. -
Anyone figure this out? Successfully installed? Curious to see what all is needed and a write up if someone has a link to one.

So before changing the instrument cluster I changed just the hmi and radio and usb. I ha e a 2015 sle crew cab z71 and have navigation and xm All functions worked on my truck. The voice recognition and steering wheel controls all worked. I wanted the look of the new cluster and wanted to change all my red to blue so I swapped it but all functions Including voice recognition worked. That all said WAMS is great and quick as well. I wouldn’t say he is pricey but getting some of these components can be bc they are oem. The oem look costs but running 13.3 iOS and this full upgrade everything works and looks awesome Also thanks to harness dr for the backup camera anytime harness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wams has everything and then some. He also has a full list of all applicable part numbers that work. This will help if you try and source some of the items on your own to save a few bucks. All and all, to do everything, you need a 2.5 hmi, applicable for your truck in list Radio based off your truck info in his list Usb can be really any 2016 plus 2 port usb with 3.5mm jack. There are a ton of part numbers for these. I bought a black one and then got a white one that looked cleaner. So have an extra lying around. Lastly a dash cluster. Part numbers are a good place to start but this to found unless you can find a killer deal ordering from WAMS and getting a brand new one is the best bang for your buck. I have a 2015 Sierra with a April 15 build date. I have done everything but the cluster. My cluster will be here Monday and can’t wait. I bought one brand new from WAMS due to if you can find one it usually is in used condition and the part numbers seem to be the same so you have to see a pic in order to differentiate as you want one from a 16 plus Denali truck or Yukon. The least headache after trying over and over I gave up and ordered new. Currently without the cluster Radio works Car play works Siri is working Nav shows on cluster Messages pop up and can use Siri to reply and send messages back Steering wheel controls for volume work Steering for track up and down work Cluster I’m told but haven’t seen yet all other functions will work for Siri control. Idk what all that is but will find out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What a kick ass company. Ended up going with whiteautoandmedia.com due to logistics and overall customer service. I spoke with magpie and he was very knowledgeable too and is out of Canada. I have started not only unlocking and adding car play but also changing the radio panel to get rid of the red led backlighting. I have ordered the cluster so when Arrived I will post more. Check out pics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
