  1. I believe FabTech makes a 4" lift for the Denali's with Magneride. They also show a 6" kit for the same truck. Not sure how they handle the relocation of the sensors or the relearning but they state you retain the factory ride.
  2. Vibration and grinding only happening when you let off the accelerator or is it noticeable at other times? Does the vibration/grinding noise change with vehicle speed (i.e. lessens as the vehicle slows)?

  4. Summer/Spring carry - M&P Shield 9, Sig P938, or Glock 43. Love the P938 except for the 8.5lb trigger!!!! Going to do some work on that for sure. All carried in a Crossbreed holster. Winter/Fall carry- Glock 19 or Glock 21, just depends on the day. Both carried in Crossbreed holsters.
  5. Best I can tell is it was an aftermarket package built by a dealership called Courtesy Chevrolet in Arizona that included some performance upgrades that included a supercharger. Haven't been able to find a 2006 that's a Thunder edition to be sure. I have read that those vehicles with that package had some mechanical issues due to the performance upgrades so I believe they stopped making them but I can't find when they did stop. I was also able to find that there is/was a thunder package in the GMT900 series trucks but it seemed to be Canada exclusive. This however was only a trim package, didn't appear to be any performance upgrades.
  6. This question/issue may have been discussed previously in this forum but quite honestly I didn't see the answer to my question when I skimmed the 168 pages of this forum. But that's not to say I didn't miss it but I have installed my fair share of HID kits in various vehicles. I have installed at least 3-4 kits in the new generation Silverados/Sierras and all are working fine except for one kit. It just so happens to be the only kit that didn't have the integrated CANBUS in the ballasts. The problem is that it keeps blowing relays. I am pretty certain it's due to the pulsing voltage of the DRL system. I have used two different types of capacitors placed between the stock wiring and the HID wiring harness and between the bulbs and the ballasts. I don't think the capacitors are supposed to be between the bulbs and ballasts but when they didn't work for me between the stock wiring and the HID harness I started moving things around just to see what happens. When I had the capacitor between the stock wiring and the HID harness I couldn't get the lights to work at all. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have a solution other than carrying a bunch of relays around in the glove box?
  7. I would suggest replacing the thermostat first. They are cheap and relatively easy to get too. If that doesn't fix it then I would look at the fan clutch. In my experience water pumps don't typically get weak, they just fail. If you really want to be thorough, you can removed the thermostat and put it in a pot of hot water on the stove with a thermometer and check to make sure it is opening at the correct temperature. They're usually only about $5-$10 so I would go ahead and replace it to eliminate it from being the culprit of the problem. Thermostat should start to open between 180-195 degrees. If I recall correctly those trucks OEM thermostat were rated at 186 degrees.
  8. Don't know if you were meaning to replace your headlights with the 2015 body style Denali or the 2016 but what I can tell you is that the headlights on the 2015 Denali are no better than the SLE's and SLT's. I had to put HID's in mine just to be able to see at night. GM definitely went backwards on the Sierras as far as headlighting went. I had a 2011 Sierra before the 2015 and it would light up the world with standard halogen bulbs.
  9. I haven't found anyone that has installed the LTZ projectors into the Work Truck Trim but I have seen a few LT to LTZ swaps and everyone says they are plug and play so you should be okay. I am posting a link to a similar thread below: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/153376-2014-silverado-headlights/
  10. The only other thing that should plug in on that assembly would be the running lights and I didn't mention that in the previous post but they should all be the same plugs assuming your WT has running lights (I am not familiar with the WT trims). If for some reason they are not you can get adapters to make them work for about $10. It really should just be a plug and play as long as the LTZ assembly will fit. I believe the only swap that has been done on this forum is putting the LTZ assemblies in the LT trims.
  11. I feel pretty certain that GM wouldn't have two different bulb sizes on different trim level trucks. They should all be H11 for the low beams and 9005 for the high beams. Even if for some outrageous reason they are different you can typically find adapters to change from one style to the next for cheap on the internet (amazon.com, ebay, etc.).
  12. In regards to my previous post, I just wanted to share with the community that XenonHID.com is not a reputable company. They have had my money for over a week now and my kits have still not shipped. I have tried to contact them over the phone and keep receiving the same message, that they are experiencing high call volumes and to please use the online chat on their website. I have used the chat and noticed that it is only a Bot. The person's name is always the same, no matter when you log onto it and it has very limited responses. Also, its grammar is astounding in that every I is dotted and T is crossed and perfect punctuation, something most humans never master. I have a friend who had also ordered from them and he experienced the same issues. Just wanted to share this info in case anyone else was thinking of ordering from these guys.
  13. I know there were quite a few members having trouble with the fog light housings on the newer 2014+ GMC trucks getting burnt from HID's but has anyone had any trouble with the main headlight housings getting burnt? Also, XenonHID.com has a 25W HID kit for the fog lights (I asked what the actual output on this kit was and was told that it is 25W). Has anyone tried or heard anything about this kit? Curious because I ordered the 55W headlight kit and the 25W fog light kit in 5000k for a 2015 Sierra Denali. Didn't know about the burnt housing issues until they were already ordered so I'm beginning to get a little concerned due to the expensive replacement cost of the headlight housings with LED DRL's in them. Any info/advice is greatly appreciated.
