Curious if anyone has attempted this lately and can provide more info etc. Curious to see who has a 2016 that has completed this conversion.

Any updates? Were you able to attempt install this weekend? Also can you provide the part #'s you ordered as well. I see you have a 2500 ... are the consoles, part numbers, etc. any different then the 1500's Looking forward to hearing how it coming along. Were in SoCal ... I am central Cal in Fresno .... how far south are you? I am looking to do this swap and will have a complete black leather jump-seat with console dash piece and all to covert yours to what you need for the 6th seat. I do not need the 6th seat and want to convert to the console. What color is your console? is it the carbon gray color called Synthesis? Thanks

I am blacking out the badges when I get a chance (plasti-dip job didn't turn out right) ... and the Bowtie has already been blacked out in the front and back. The small amount of chrome is okay ... it kinda offsets all the red and black a bit overall.

Anyone have any thoughts on my recent questions quoted above? Still unsure on wiring for the most part and not sure if I should be buying the newest version console for my 16' or not ... then how wiring will work after that. Once I get a better grasp on this wiring stuff I will be more apt to pull the trigger and order one once I also figure out if I should just spend the extra $175 on the newest version console with the charging pad in the lid and also the inside media block not having the SD anymore like my current jumpseat. Still just unsure on what I want to do there and also unsure about this wiring situation and exactly how it all works. Thanks again for any and all help you can provide here or via PM. ;)

Badges already have been blacked along with bowties Snow plow? The lower chrome strip? Ya I don't want to plastidip it ... I wish I could get rid of that chrome piece and replace it with a black one somehow. But these things are so minimal that it doesn't bother me much. That's the reason I went with this new Z71 was the massive "Lack" of chrome ... I DoNot like chrome on my truck so this was a good start. But after blacking out the badges and center bowties I'm more then happy with how it's turned out. I've addded a 1" Readylift blocks in the back to level the truck out. Ore along with addi a set of Amp Research Powerstrps. Next will be a full LTZ center console swap then a stereo system. Then when we get a new trailer a set of rear airbags. I am SO happy with how this truck has turned out! Thanks everyone for all the nice replies. And as far as the red ... I love red ... And ya this picture turned out a tinge reder then it really is with a iPhone enhancement thing. It's still damn red, the color is called "Red Hot" so it's suppose to be really red but it is a touch different in person then the pic.
