  1. Does swapping out the shocks void your warranty or risk the chance of coverage if something happens?
  2. Did you get the replacement emblems for the bed from eBay or somewhere else?
  3. So, just to clarify, you're running the 5100s on max AND 2" spacer? Aren't the joints in the control arms basically screaming from that or did you upgrade them?
  4. Sounds like something on the OnStar side. If you can connect to the Wi-Fi that means that the hotspot in the truck is working. Wi-Fi can be connected without you having Internet access. It'd be the same as your PC being plugged into your router, but your home Internet being down. Still connected to the Network, just no Internet access. Are you sure that you called OnStar to get everything totally setup? I would definitely call OnStar and see if there's anything on their side first.
  5. I'm not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, nor have I had my truck for very long, but I'd have to guess that it's something with it being new possibly burning off or heating up enough to generate an odor. If anything, contact your dealer if you haven't already, or if no one here can provide any better insight. Just my $0.02.
  6. Total noob to detailing and having a new truck so.... any/all recommendations? I'm used to the "buy car soap, get a good sponge, get a bug sponge, and a wheel brush and go to town" mentality. Other than using Armorall cleaning supplies and tire foam. I've never even applied wax to a car before because I've always had used vehicles.
  7. Also curious about this and whether or not parts for a 2015 will work on my 2016 because I cannot find any Bilstein products when I specify the 2016 model year.
  8. Old big rig/dump truck mud flaps work GREAT for this. My buddy is a mechanic for the PA Turnpike and picked me up one. Cut off a nicer section of the flap for a 2"x1"x0.25" piece and it works great for fixing this.
  9. Yep, this. Also, whenever I'm on the highway I use cruise control and I've noticed a drastic increase in MPG as the truck will actually stay in V4 mode longer than if I'm controlling the throttle. Might just be me still getting used to it, but it seems like the cruise is better at the minor accelerations to get up a small hill, etc. and keep it in V4.
  10. Nice! This is on my list and it's good to hear it works so well.
  11. That's what I thought, but wasn't entirely sure, thanks. Unless someone can tell me, I guess I'll grab a magnet and climb under the truck.
  12. I have a 2016 and I'm not sure whether I'd need the aluminum or steel version of the RC 2.5" kit. Is this just a preference or does it matter on what your truck is actually using for the stock control arms? Sorry if this is a noobie question, but I just got the truck and am still learning.
  13. Will they, along with the tires, fit on a stock 1500 with no lift? Also, for all interested, here are the actual links: Matte - http://www.belletire.com/wheel-detail/blkmt/138794/performance-replicas/150/matte-black Gloss - http://www.belletire.com/wheel-detail/blkgl/138793/performance-replicas/150/gloss-black
  14. Not sure if this will affect my 2016 or not, but sub'd anyway, thanks for the info.
  15. Holy sweet baby Jesus I want those wheels! I really hope someone can chime in with the make/model.
  16. Not sure how close the color ACTUALLY is, but I just very recently got a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT Z71 in the Autumn Bronze Metallic and I absolutely love it! Now I just need to start saving up for a cover, fender flares, RC leveling kit, nerf bars, etc.
