  1. I didn’t take any during the install of the sub. It’s under the console so completely hidden now. Did get the KO2s mounted yesterday and I think they look great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Installed JL Audio’s front console sub and a lil RF 500.1 amp. Much better than stock. Also ordered KO2s for my feet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Did this ever get resolved?
  4. Put some AMP Research Powersteps on the truck.....like them so far...only time will tell how they hold up.
  5. Mine did it really bad on my 14....dealer couldn't help....replaced the battery and the cables nothing worked...traded it in and they are so stupid that they paid more than I did for it. Front of house didn't even check for service records at their own shop. They couldn't get it to work properly and sold it at auction for a loss.....GM is a bunch of cheap assholes for not doing a recall on this. Someone will get killed but they'll blame it on something else.
  6. Sorry to hear of your issues, mine spent more time in the shop than out. I traded it in and got more than I paid for it. Still lost money due to all the service/broken shit I had to fix on that pile of trash gm produced Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Ordered the Fold-a-cover G4 for my Sierra, excited to get it in and on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I went with a 5% brow, 5% driver and passenger window and 15% back seat and 3 back windows. On top of factory windows which come 70% front and 24% back it comes out to about 3.5 % (.7x.05=.035 and .24x.15=.036) on everything except the windshield. My last vehicle was a tahoe with 5% all around and the back was too dark on top of factory tint. Before that I had a Benz with 5 % all around so I'm used to dark vehicles. I had a 14 with 15% on the front windows (not windshield) and 35% over the back five windows and it wasn't close to dark enough, could still see in easily. I want my tint dark enough that you can't see inside, even in the daytime but as I hunt and travel country roads in the dark I still need to be able to see out sometimes. I think this was the perfect blend of privacy, protection and still being able to see well even at night. I'm not sure of your state laws so you might consider them but around here they don't really care too much about tint. In the last 10+ years of driving around the nation living in NY, TX, CA, FL, OK and AR I've only been pulled over once for tint.
  9. Picked the new truck up on Friday 7/15/16. Took the running boards off on Saturday and sold them for $450, I'll use that as a start to the AMP steps. Got tinted on monday but haven't had time to take a picture until today when took her on her first roadtrip for 127 highway miles...no problems whatsoever. Loving the 16 soooooooooooooo much more than the 14 that was a constant headache.
  10. I had it happen months ago, had it happen yesterday as well. Have also had issues with the truck consistently starting, and the steering wheel whipped out of my hands twice while driving in reverse. I've had the truck shut off, flashes multiple codes; service stabilitrac, service theft deterrent system, roll window down and back up, trailer brake system etc....my truck in particular is a wreck. I'll trade it in within a month hopefully . There are some other threads on here to search: steering wheel whipped out hand, trouble starting consistently, etc. Some members have had issues while driving, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I hope it doesn't take someone dying for the greedy, lazy assholes at GM to do something about it.
  11. 2014's are electrical nightmares. Period. GM will not fix this until someone dies unfortunately
  12. lol here we go.....check your battery cables and ground points....I've been going through this for months. GM will not help. Your truck could possibly shut off while driving, or start flashing codes, it will also whip the steering wheel out of your hands while turning ....watch out. Turns out this problem is more common than GM would like to admit.
  13. I'm just tired of not trusting this truck, it's back in it's second home (the shop) looking for a cause as I had two dead turns of the key this weekend.
  14. Have you had the issue reoccur at all? Did you have it looked at? My issue has returned even after the cable change...
  15. Put on some color matched mirror caps and got rid of one aspect of chrome on my truck. Looks like the original owner hit something as the passenger mirror was only held on with silicone and missing the factory black housing that is on the back of the mirror.
  16. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/187150-truck-wont-consistently-start-2014-sierra-slt-at/page-1 I had similar issues among others. Ended up being the positive battery cable running 200 mA resistance
  17. Here's my 2014 AT.....this has been how it's spent most of its time in the last month. In the shop now, hoping they can figure out the electrical issue soon.
  18. happened last night and I couldn't even unlock it, had to use the key to get inside to pop the hood to wiggle wires, when it got power again it started with the alarm and woke up the neighborhood. Now for tonight... Wife and I are celebrating our anniversary today so we drop children off at my folks to enjoy a night out. I drive to dinner and back and go to pull into their driveway and my lights dim then come back then the truck shuts down. Start it back up, drive up the driveway, pick up the kids and drive 2 miles home. I always back into my driveway and so I pull a little past my home, as I put it in reverse and start to cut the wheel to back into the driveway the lights dim and as I press on the gas slightly the truck rips the wheel out of my hand and straightens itself while park assist is flashing on my screen. Hurt my wrist a little as I would have never expected it to move the wheel. So I try to turn the wheel again to back into the driveway and it whips it back over one full turn, then open and close driver door flashes on the screen, I do that and then open and close driver window flashes on the screen I do that and then start to back up and the truck dies. I start it up and cautiously turn the wheel into the driveway and shut the truck down. I am LIVID. WTF GM? It has now malfunctioned 10+ times in the last 10 days. GM needs to fix this or buy it back.
  19. Changed my cabin air filter, looks like the prior owner/dealer thought it was optional Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Nah, bought the BedTred liner, NIB for $200
  21. Been looking at updating my bed. Called Line-X and they wanted 750 to do a short bed. I have been considering a BedRug or BedTred instead of the old beat up GM liner. Found a guy selling a BedTred on CL, talked him down to 1/2 price after I learned he purchased a Sierra fit BedTred for a Tundra. I'll need to buy different tailgate and bulkhead screws and hopefully tomorrow night I'll get it installed. If not tomorrow then definitely by the end of the weekend. Pics to come.
  22. Happened to me again today in the same parking lot as last Friday. I'm starting to think there is some bad juju over there. Anyways got back into the truck after dropping off some packages at Fedex and turned the key.....nothing. No power anywhere, dash, key fob etc. Said "ah hell no" popped the hood jiggled the negative cable while pressing unlock on the key fob, nothing. On to the positive cable..yup key fob worked. Guess it's time to get new terminal connections ?
  23. Threw in some new headlights to replace the crap factory ones. Haven't driven at night yet but will in about an hour to go grab some ice cream. I like the look. Also switched out the factory antenna with a 5" stubby.
  24. Well got the truck back today after being towed to the dealer last night. They said they jiggled wires and checked all connections and it came back on. They said they looked it all over and can't find an issue and just tightened all connections and "it's working fine". I guess that's good enough for them. We shall see if it happens again. I just got the truck a month ago so I can't tell you how old the battery is. It's a 2014 so at worst it's three years old. I'll probably change it this fall as I'm normally out hunting in some remote places and would rather not get stuck without a truck or cell signal.
