  1. Your truck would fit right in at the annual Florida Truck Meet. It used to be in Daytona when I lived in Florida. Not sure if it's moved to South Florida or Orlando
  2. I wanted to highlight the GMC and Duramax on the fender vent/badge. Painted the GMC and vinyl for the Duramax.
  3. Finished the Duramax letters yesterday.
  4. I was the GSM of a Lincoln Mercury dealership in Detroit for 10 years and in sales and service for maybe another 6 or 8. So I know what dealers make in sales (new and used along with service and parts). I know all about "invoice" and "net/net". Being a manager bought my truck, they made zero on that and supplier discount doesn't give the dealer much. I also write a check so they made nothing on the backend from me either.
  5. They didn't make anything on my trade with a employee buying it. All they got was what the dealer makes off supplier discount. They didn't get rich off my purchase.
  6. No issues trading mine. In fact, a dealership manager bought it for himself. Obviously they aren't concerned.
  7. I received that letter for my traded truck yesterday. At least it's not my problem now..
  8. Ok, why aren't the Camaros built during the recall time with 6.2's not getting recalled or having issues? I say it's the oil. And GM is nuts to continue using 0w20.
  9. My Corvette and ZL1 Camaro both had 0W-40 from the factory. I don't think it's the bandaid as you call it. It's what should have been in the trucks from the get-go. But, these trucks have been running the wrong weight for whatever miles are on them. The test they are doing should find the ones that are fixing to come apart and the ones that pass should be good to go especially with the big warranty. Had I known what I do now, I likely would have kept the 2023. But, I do like the fuel economy of the 3.0l Duramax.
  10. See the first post if they are indented.
  11. Here's another that I'm working with tvd vinyl to produce. I've sent them tracings and measurements. I received a prototype to test yesterday. I think it's fine. I emailed them pictures this morning. They are floating on soapy water (temporary) in the pictures as they are orange and I will end up with red.
  12. You're nominated. A member on the F150 Forums did that with the axle bolt failures for over a year. Lots of work.
  13. Here is another. GMC lettering for the bedrail.
  14. Take it to the dealer you bought it from. They'll likely take care of it or at least help with the cost to repair. Private sale? As Is No Warranty, you're on your own dime.
  15. I wish gm didn't decide the 120 psi range on the gauge was a good thing. Everytime I look at it I initially think low pressure because it's always sitting around a quarter. Dumb. I'm thinking about going to the gauge setup that doesn't show oil pressure.
  16. 2025 upgrade was a new truck. No lift kit or aftermarket wheels. Tint, a Scout boats decal, and amber running lights that'd be it.
  17. My second 10 minute mod. Installed the jumper cables to run amber drl's.
  18. 25 pages.... This recall sure got the site revved up and busy.
  19. Sending Duramax outline to tvd vinyl. They are going to make letters.
  20. I also did this on the 2023. I use Testors model car paint. I'm sure Rustoleum would work, too. I would like to do something similar to the Duramax lettering. I think that should be vinyl.
  21. Personally, I wasn't afraid of being stranded (a low percentage will actually fail) and I've had a couple of engines blow up driving during my nearly 60 years with a license. Try having an engine go south out in Podunk before cell phones were invented. My problem was the replacement delay and because of that I have a twin to my 2023 except for the engine. Traded yesterday.
  22. Additional replies look to be futile. Seems like the OP is another one hit wonder. He hasn't been back since he made the post.
  23. I do own an affected 6.2l and I trade every 2-3 years but if I were one that holds on to a vehicle longer that special warranty extension would be great. In my case, I'm going back to a diesel again for the cheaper fuel cost and better mpg. NOT, because of this engine deal. There are a mess of 6.2l equipped trucks and SUV's in my sub and I see them tooling around daily. The vast majority of owners will have trouble free engines. GM just needs to get their act together and replace a blown engine quickly with high priority. If they can get owners back on the road with a replaced engine within a 2-3 week time period I see no need for panic. F150's also blow engines. Rams blow engines. I flew to Detroit from Florida and bought a 1999 F150 Lightning the first month it was out. Drove it back to Florida and the engine went south during my first month of ownership. Ford sent a complete engine, oil pan to supercharger, and I was back in the truck within 3 weeks. I was disappointed, sure but the truck never gave me another issue after. Anyway I'm good with the recall. And, I think it will be a selling perk to used buyers going forward. I'll be trading mine and don't expect any trade dings on the appraisal because of it.
  24. So there's an official recall. https://www.gm-trucks.com/gm-l87-62l-engine-recall-2021-2024-silverado-sierra-escalade-tahoe-suburban/
  25. You seem to be having a radio issue not navigation It could be a siriusxm issue if it's happening when you are listening to it. If it's happening with fm, too, then it's a radio system issue you should take to the dealer and get it handled under warranty. There is a reprogramming update that has been done to earlier refresh trucks.
