  1. A little late to this. I am going to order a 2027 as soon as the order banks open. It'll be a 3.0l again. This time in a Yukon.
  2. I'm good with the auto climate control in both the 2023 and the 2025. Both keep me comfortable at 73°year around. My wife keeps the passenger side at 72°. We rarely adjust the temps.
  3. My 3.0l engine failed at 5,403 miles. It just stopped running while accelerating away from a roundabout. No warning, no dash lights. Just quit and I coasted to a stop. I had steering. A message popped up on the screen that read "please restart engine" or something like that. It wouldn't and it was towed to the dealership. They determined it siezed. GM didn't pay for them to tear it down, just immediately approved a new engine. I doubt I'll ever find out what failed. It took 50 days to get the truck back. I have 300 miles on the truck since and it's running just fine. Fingers crossed it was a fluke.
  4. So, I traded my 2023 6.2l before the recall came out for an identical truck except for the engine. The new one has a 3.0l. The 6.2l was trouble free but there was enough issues popping up we decided to swap it out a year early. Fast forward. My 3.0l engine siezed 3 weeks ago and it sits in the dealer service lot waiting for a replacement engine. Just my luck. But, even if it went into a lemon law buyback, I'd get another 3.0l. I don't plan on dumping this one once fixed.
  5. My loaner had that happen (no sound from anything) last week. "Fixed" itself an hour after shutting it off and then restarting. A 2026 Sierra 1500. Hasn't happened since.

  7. When I lived in Florida most seemed to just use plain water. Up north just need something that doesn't freeze.

  9. I have never paid attention to "top tier". I buy gas and diesel from busy stations around me and I've never had fuel issues.
  10. I received a competitive trade value for my 2023 when I got my 2025 a few months ago.
  11. At this point I wouldn't be concerned with a 2026 6.2l. But, right now I'm really happy with this 3.0l Duramax. I ran across the state (Michigan) yesterday to check out a street rod and both ways the current trip showed 30+ mpg. Diesel is less than premium and better mpg. Yeah, the 6.2l sounds better, though.
  12. I had Nitto's on my Jeep and experienced the same thing. Quiet but wore fast. I will look at Michelin Defenders in 305r45/22 when I dump my stockers.
  13. Yes. I had it on my 2023 GMC and swapped it to the 2025.
  14. It's a 2025. He runs up to his cabin near Traverse Bay from metro Detroit a lot.
  15. My neighbor has the LZO in his Yukon and is over 20,000 miles all trouble-free. I went from the 6.2l to the LZO and so far so good. I have just under 2,200 miles on it. I love the fuel economy and the less expensive per gallon cost, too.

  17. Your truck would fit right in at the annual Florida Truck Meet. It used to be in Daytona when I lived in Florida. Not sure if it's moved to South Florida or Orlando
  18. I wanted to highlight the GMC and Duramax on the fender vent/badge. Painted the GMC and vinyl for the Duramax.
  19. Finished the Duramax letters yesterday.
  20. I was the GSM of a Lincoln Mercury dealership in Detroit for 10 years and in sales and service for maybe another 6 or 8. So I know what dealers make in sales (new and used along with service and parts). I know all about "invoice" and "net/net". Being a manager bought my truck, they made zero on that and supplier discount doesn't give the dealer much. I also write a check so they made nothing on the backend from me either.
  21. They didn't make anything on my trade with a employee buying it. All they got was what the dealer makes off supplier discount. They didn't get rich off my purchase.
  22. No issues trading mine. In fact, a dealership manager bought it for himself. Obviously they aren't concerned.
