  1. i agree on the turn signals showing in the HUD, that was one of the first things i noticed , in fact i added it to the survey that i received from Chevrolet. off road info is also of no use to me
  2. exactly the same as mine, totally quiet until tonite.
  3. Mine started doing the same exact thing tonite , only does it in park on the first shift, once in drive or reverse there is no noise when the brake pedal is applied. just turned over 3500 miles on the truck and it has been completely quiet until now. it does sound exactly like a shift interlock solenoid. i haven't had a chance to check it out yet. seems like it is coming from the steering column area.
  4. forgot to mention there is alot of info about this over in the 2020HD section. scroll down through you will find 2 or 3 posts . here are the part numbers for the sensors if you need them.
  5. the only way they will be included with the truck is if they were ordered with the truck. they are a separate $50 option when new. if they aren't on the window sticker they were'n't ordered with it. you will have to buy them or try and talk the dealership into providing them. the xtra cameras and trailer tpms sensors are a confusing issue, i think the pricing for the options/truck should be adjusted to include them when the correct options are ordered. i have noticed that alot of early built trucks didn't have the tpms monitors on the window stickers, most of the ones that did had the fifth wheel package ordered. i wonder if there was confusion from the fellas at the dealerships that built the initial orders and they may not have realized they needed to check the box for them, i would bet the longer these trucks are out you may see many more coming with them. like most options, they surely are cheaper with the truck then buying them later.
  6. no problem installing them on my aluminum trailer wheels. same tpms sensor part # i used.
  7. the gm trailer tpms sensors are 433MHz frequency. when i set mine up i learned the trailer tpms to the the module on the truck each way with the tool and by airing up the tires. both ways worked fine. the tool is quicker. i don't know what the max distance is that the module would still receive the frequency from the ttpms but since the module is right behind the license plate as long as the truck is in the hook up position it should work, if the sensors are correct i wonder if there is another problem.
  8. thanks for the link for the new 2020 cameras. i haven't bought any yet, i have been waiting for some info on the new 2020 model camera . as you mentioned, not much info here locally either from the dealers. the details and compatibility of the tpms system and the accessory camera system have been a huge grey area and it seems like we all have to learn as we go.
  9. first connect the trailer so you can access the app. pick the"trailers" tab on the top of the screen push on the pencil next to the connected trailer on the screen.(pic 1) pick "tire pressure set up" on next screen (pic 2) pick "next" on the "select number of sensors screen" (pic 3) pick "next" on "learn sensor screen" (pic 4) the next screen is where you can edit tire pressures(pic 5)
  10. i set my ttpms sensors up a few nites back but couldn't remember what the max psi choice was and didn't know if they could be edited with out a new set up. they can be edited once set up and the max psi setting looks like a 100psi. mine are set for 80psi with E-rated tires
  11. i have the same noise on a 1 month old 2020 ccsb 2500 HD, no sunroof. it makes the noise every morning on the same turn on my way to work. from inside, it kinda sounds like it is coming from the passenger side rear corner of the roof. the first time i heard it i thought something hit the roof also. i heard it from the outside of the vehicle while i was washing it too. it is coming from the rear roof spolier/high mount brake lamp area. i was washing the roof when i heard it so at least i was up kinda close to it. curious as to what it is but cant imagine it is too much to worry about.
  12. PTT is the RPO code for the TPMS sensors which are shipped loose if you order them with the truck or can be purchased separately through the parts dept. you need U1D advanced trailering system installed at time of build to be able to accept the TPMS (PTT) . the TPMS module is behind the license plate. look back through the older posts about this and a fella sent in a picture of it.
  13. a fella on this site posted this link a while back before you could even order anything, i studied it for a long time to determine what i wanted to buy and what came with what. it takes a little time to learn how to decipher it but the info is awesome. https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/proddesc.jsp?year=2020&butID=1&regionID=1&divisionID=1&vehicleID=21694&type=0
  14. U1D Advanced Trailering System, includes checklist, trailer maintenance reminders, trailer security alerts, trailer mileage, tow/haul reminder, trailer electrical diagnostics and Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor System module 1 - Included and only available with (PCM) Convenience Package II or (ZL6) Advanced Trailering Package.-- -- A1
  15. yes, that is correct. LTZ or High Country for the transparent trailer view . You need the technology package and i believe the power folding/extending mirrors with the side view cameras.
  16. nice looking truck !! where did you get the vent visors? i haven't seen any 2020's in the aftermarket and i checked with my dealer 2 weeks back and he said they werent available yet?
  17. i'am going to get the GM accessory cameras, don't know if it matters but i feel better with GM parts that were originally designed to work with the system they designed. i'am planning on ordering them from the link posted in another thread on this site. they seem to have the best price.
  18. it seems considerably stronger than the 6.0 that was in my 18 . i tow a 24' enclosed car hauler that weighs about 9000 pounds loaded, so its not real heavy. i'am pleased with it so far but i only have about 100 miles on it with the trailer. i haven't payed close attention to the mileage yet but it is better than the 6.0 was. the 3:73 gears are ok but i think the 4:10's would bring the motor alive but with a 6 sp. would probably hurt the mileage too much for some guys . so far the motor is super smooth and i'am definitely pleased with it. the next step is to get the tpms in the trailer wheels and the 2 accessory cameras on and in the trailer.
  19. 2 1/2 weeks old. 700 miles.Great truck.
  20. thanks for all the info, it clarifies all my questions.
  21. I have another question about adding the 2 auxiliary rear outside and inside trailer cameras. i have a 2020 LTZ with the premium package which includes the technology package with the HD surround vision w/ 2 camera provisions. when i add 2 of the cameras listed in the above posts do all of the other camera views still work as they do now, i'am confused because i have seen some posts over in the 1500 section that they loose the front camera view when you have the technology pkg. that doesn't seem right to me that the hd surround camera would include 2 extra auxiliary ports if it would change /disrupt the system in any way.
  22. Thanks for the responses and picture. 1-1/2" is great , trying to get a idea by measurements i actually thought it may be closer. Just will have to keep the snow off of the driveway. thanks again for the help
  23. I have a question about the overall height of the new Silverado 2500 HD. I currently drive a 2018 Silverado 2500 HD and I"am going to trade it for a new 2020 but i am concerned about the overall height to fit in my garage. I only have a standard 7 ft overhead door and the dimensions seem to be getting pretty close looking at the new specs. The shark fin antenna on my '18 clears fine with about 4"'s of clearance. The roof height on my '18 is 78" plus the shark fin antenna and i have the 18" wheels on it. The spec from GM for the 2020 is 80" and i'am guessing plus the shark fin also. i am wondering is the spec measured with the standard 17" wheels? I have measured overall heights on the 17",18" and 20" new wheels/tires and the dimensions with the 18"s and 20"s will make it a close fit, a little too close for comfort with measurements. I'am wondering if anyone who already has a new 2020 with the 18" or 20" wheels knows if it will fit through std 7 ft garage door? and if the 20's will , by how much? I'am trying to avoid a visit to the dealership and a test drive home to try it . Thanks any info is appreciated
