  1. admin will probably move this...but there is a place to post items for sale...
  2. To each their own... but to say 'despite their tiny sizes'? Dude, are you series? My truck came with 265/65 18, I put on 285/65 18... not sure where you are looking at tire sizes, but where income from the bfg's are larger... and the exact tire size I wanted...so you can have your opinion...but, at least support it by logic and facts... or not, but I'm done talking about this topic with you. Have a blessed day. To each their own... but to say 'despite their tiny sizes'? Dude, are you series? 3. To say I put the highest rated and most popular all-terrain tire on my truck and saying I am downgrading, is a little bit of a troll move, but I'll play along. 1) the duratracs were too aggressive for me, I didn't like being able to feel the knobs of the tread when I was turning and at low speed. 2) I wanted larger tires, after I leveled it, the 265 wranglers were just too small. To your comment though, I'm not bashing the duratracs, they are great tires if you are off road more than I am...I am basically only off road during hunting season...
  4. You might check out the weights on tire rack, I might be wrong but when I was shopping I thought the Terra 2s were heavier than the bfg ko2...but I could be mistaken...I went with the bfg and love them
  5. I put big ko2 285/65 on my stock black rims, 18"...love them...
  6. i have thought about going this route also...but i have a black truck...how has it been to clean it? probably my biggest concern going that route it that the sprayliner would look dirty all the time?
  7. I liked them a lot more than I thought I would, thus keeping them... I'm not sure what color your truck is, but they also have some dark grey/leading color ones that are pretty slick too...sometimes you can get stock rims cheap from someone upgrading...
  8. I have the black stamped steel ones... I still don't know what determines if you get the aluminum or steel...
  9. Thank you! Stock 18". Personal preference but I like a little more rubber for the 4x4...plus they are cheaper for tires (and rims too if you decide to upgrade). I don't know of the exact angle, but from this site and other resources, I gathered that a level kit doesn't put additional strain on your drive line... if you start getting 3"+ that is when you start changing the angle enough to at least consider what you are doing... plenty of people have a larger lift and can tell you their experiences...I just wanted to keep it pretty simple, just differnt enough that it isn't 'stock'...if I wouldn't have got the midnight edition I would have upgraded my rims... but I liked them enough to keep them and save me a couple grand...
  10. I have a 2 or 2.5" RC front level, and I am running stock rims with 285/65 ko2's...I love them... they don't stick out past the fender (so if you want that look need to figure something else out)...but I think they look plent y beefy and work well for me at least. (Black truck in my sig for a visual)
  11. Well... money talks, right? My truck came with Duratracs (Midnight edition Silverado) I didn't like them, but to what you are asking I wanted a slightly larger tire. I upgratwd to a 285/65 on the stock 18". I paid I think $250 or so for a RC front level kit... didn't touch the back. Personally I love it, not too jacked up but not stock. I sold my Duratracs to supplement the cost of the new tires. But yes, people get rid of new tires because that's not what they want. Some places will take trade in like Discount tires, but your best bet is to sell them on Facebook, Craigslist or where ever. As far as a suggestion... if you want to do something... and have the cash (or save up) get a level kit first... stock tires wont look too bad until you can afford the tires you want. nut at the end of the day... a new baby is more important than replacing a perfectly good set of tires (if you can't afford both)
  12. Again, this probably doesn't do it justice... It sounds really good... Very nice deep tone... But it is mild.
  13. Plenty of room... 6'5 would more than likely clear...

  16. i can do that...but just understand that every dang sound clip i have heard never does it justice, so just keep that in mind...and also, when i tried to load the pic of my truck is says 1mb max...i had to really compress the image...so with a video, i will need some guidance on how to upload that...but i can probably get that done this evening or tomorrow morning...i wish i had a video of my old truck (it was a 2008 5.3L) it sounded SOOO good...we will be taking my current truck on family trips and just wanted to have it toned down a hint. if you dont have to worry about kids sleeping in your truck over a long trip...i would go 14" without a doubt... (the only caveat being i'm not sure how much , if any, the new body style will drone with that 14" muffler.)
  17. Yes, resonator delete, flapper delete. I had a magnaflow 14" and dumped it behind my cab on my last truck, loves it. My wife asked me nicely to not get quite as of a loud one... So settled for the 18", and stock pipe out the back (again delete resonator and flapper)...sound is great time, very mild in the cab...great on the highway... Although I do kinda wish I got the 14" again...compromise though...
  18. i have been in a couple parking garages, but none with extremely low ceilings yet...I can try to measure for you...i know its well under 7'...but it might be close to that 6'8 mark...
  19. I have 285/65R18 BFG KO2 on my stock rims and I am very pleased... Only an RC front level...no running at all...I feel it's. Nice upgrade without breaking the bank on something bigger... I don't know if the size you requested would rub or not... Sorry I can't help there.
  20. I'm new to join the thread (first post) but I have been reading and researching for a while...here is my truck...2016, Midnight Edition, Silverado Z71. Mods: Windows tinted, and front visor RC 2" front level Magna flow 18" exhaust 285/65R18 BFG KO2 And have ordered an MX4 bak cover Thanks for everyone's inputs and opinions to help guide me (without you knowing).
