  1. I have found the 110V plug to be pretty useless. I charger my drill battery with it once and a laptop once. But it cuts off for my Air Pump. I wish you could easily upgrade the inverter to a 400w. Competitor trucks have 400w inverters.
  2. What steps are those? I have been looking for something just like them.
  3. I have dealt with electrical issues for the past 3 months with GM. Truck is in for the 5th time now for them. Not necessarily related because mine is Radio and Instrument cluster, but I have gotten a Service Stabiltrek warning before because of it. My dads brand new Canyon was in the other week for electrical issues as well. Take it into the shop and let them troubleshoot it. Not all their trucks do this, you just got unlucky. I would not imagine the front level is causing this as every other person on this forum has a leveling kit without issues.

  5. I will. The rack a front runner slim line ii. Lets just say my tax return went away real quick this year. I love the combo and will get some good shots of it all in action once I take it out. Currently snowing here in Oregon.
  6. Your steps. Rock sliders. Nerf Bars. They look like they’d offer good rock protection and go wheel to wheel. That’s what I’ve been looking for mine.
  7. What are your sliders there and where did you get them?
  8. This gave a me a good chuckle. I have many women in my life. Fiancé, daughter, dog, cat. Why not the truck too?
  9. I have found a few Rock Sliders for the crew cab but they only cover the cab length, leaving the bed of the truck to the wheel unprotected. I also have a double cab so am not sure if the mounting points would be the same. I will probably end up getting the GM skid plates as all I have now is plastics. Then maybe fab my own for the rest of the truck. Start small with what I've got and work up from there. I know this truck will never be as versatile off road as a jeep wrangler, but protection is important and saves costly repair costs down the road. I will continue to look and will eventually end up sharing my results in the end. I have seen a few trucks out there with what I am looking for, I just haven't been able to ask them about it. I love my truck, I want to show her the love she deserves and take her new places.
  10. An investment in fun and good times. Of course it’s a money dumpster and won’t be worth nearly what I paid for it.
  11. Will these two parts give me full protection or will I be missing anything?
  12. Hey all, I am wanting to get my truck out on some trails and set up more for Overlanding. To protect my investment on this truck I am looking to add underbody protection and some side protection. I found a post a little while back with all the GM part numbers for all the skid plates. I can't seem to find that now and was hoping somebody would have a copy. I am also looking for Rock Sliders. I for the life of me cannot find a company that makes them for my truck. I want wheel to wheel sliders, no need for steps but if the sliders stuck out far enough to be steps then thats a plus. I just don't want anything that will get stuck on a rock or stump because it sticks out. I have a 2017 Sierra 1500 Double Cab Regular Box (6'6).
  13. The KO2's are proven tires and look great. No regrets at all there on that purchase.
  14. 2in level in the front to fix that horrific rake. I am rocking 275/65/r20 BFG KO2's. They measure in at 34in, slight rub at full lock at the rear end of the front wheel wells. I zip tied the felt liner back into the frame and this resolved all rubbing problems 100%. I will add 1 more cheap cosmetic mod i highly recommend for looks. Something that should come stock! A REAR WHEEL WELL LINER! I do not understand why these come without one, seeing the bed color in the rear wheel well looks bad in my opinion. I bought some cheap plastic ones online that just punched right in. Looks so much better I think. I have quite a few more cosmetic changes I have not listed. Here is a side shot of the truck. and a day one photo i took of it stock.
  15. In my opinion, I think the trucks look 10x better without the aridam. Should be the first free visual mod you make to your truck. Second comes a level, third tires, fourth window tint to fix the almost clear front windows. Here is my truck with airdam removed.
  16. I did the same thing. Took apart a cheap wireless fast charger I bought for $13 on amazon. Put it in my center console between two pieces of plastic so when my phone is in the little tray, it charges. I have no issues with running apps and power loss.
  17. I have a white 2017 Sierra Elevation Edition. V8 5.3L 6spd 4x4 double cab. 7,000 miles and owned it for 10 months. I have absolutely loved this truck. I purchased this model specifically because I did not want the technology they are putting in all the nicer trims. The first thing to fail on all these new vehicles is going to be something electronic. Mods in order of when I got them: Tonneau cover and bed mat added 2in front level Plastidip chrome badges Black Vinyl Overlays for GMC front and back Rear wheel well liner to cover the white Window vents Added 15% extra tint to the front Removed AirDam Installed a wireless charger into the center console where we all put our phones already (one of my favorites for convenience) Upgraded to 275/65/R20 BFG KO2's Future Mods: Front Runner bed rack (to add a rooftop tent) Skid plates rock sliders Grill Light Bar Rear dual Flood lights that will swivel K&N Air intake Cat Back Exhaust OEM backup camera install CVT Mt. Rainier Roof Top Tent with Annex Programmable AUX swithes (factory replacement with factory work truck switches. Takes the two traction control and bed lamp switches and adds 4 more AUX switches) Only issues with the truck so far are electrical (one of the reasons I wanted less electronics). Radio and Dash light flicker on and off, truck is in the shop now for it. Got a call writing this and they're saying it is my dash cam plugged into the USB port that is causing it. Picking it up today and will see. Other than that the truck has been absolutely fantastic. I don't want any other brand or model, mine is my ideal truck. Anyways, here is a picture of her right now.
  18. 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation Edition Stock: Tonneau Cover Vinyl Stickers on GMC Badges 2in front level kit Window Visors added Rear Wheel Well Liner to match the front black one Bed Mat In the future I will be: Black Plastidipping my 4x4 and Sierra Badges More aggressive Tires (After mine have had their life) Window Tint to Oregon legal limit Possibly install OEM backup camera (I've done just fine without it so far.)
