  2. Been using this Assenmacher funnel for years, no mess. https://www.amazon.com/Assenmacher-Specialty-Tools-OFGMRD08-Engine/dp/B00JLZ9FDI/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3JLRERF8LZU4H&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.P4xYkoMZDw6On0nk_aJOktj-8hPlN1P_7_5_tq0g1wnDUUZCTnhhWxXrR5BdKlQUk_JjfsdF7Phnk6NT1yepWDlvfsNbsShrBxY4ycN0Bya2uSi57PG-m1p5LVpAqFz8ZkQk1GLo4XoZm2k9T3tavwSCzQADjxPQmo8wB8twF7Ib4Bfdc4DDelZllVKp13MQCxIcNU7JG5tyVZd24HCC_BW8SfDc8Y3SfEvXBCX9IHTOog4gh6WkUFW06Yc1y7UpSsgZ2Oan_tW9D_spz0zUrz4sPOamuPaHKTzz3jRnthk.sln9xIv8KE-BeNkyVynV-4LJGTLQKa0rrFMCCo0pHoQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=assenmacher+funnel&qid=1756792620&sprefix=assenmacher+funnel%2Caps%2C145&sr=8-1
  3. That's pretty good Mike! My daughter complained about her gas mileage. One time we went to pick up an axle and I made her slow down and her mileage shot up into the mid teens from the single digits.
  4. I agree Marty. One of my daughters wanted a lifted truck for her MRS degree, and now that she's engaged and about to start a family, I reckon that truck will be coming back to stock height someday to be more useful for a family. Less costly too! That degree cost her a lot of money in extra tires and repairs and maintenance! LOL
  5. Keep up with the maintenance and slow down. That's all you can really do without spending money. Big truck = safety
  6. You're going to have to pull the wheels and go over everything with a torque wrench. If AWD, did you change the CV Axles?
  7. That's hogwash, automakers re-tool all the time. Stellantis is already doing it. It will save them money too.
  8. The Endangerment Finding was an attempt to advance a political agenda with junk science. It too is gone for good.
  9. If you are addressing this comment to me, nobody is pushing you. Think of me as the guy standing on the side of the road trying to wave you down because the bridge is out in front of you. You can stop and head my warning or keep going.
  10. This is nonsensical thinking man. Just as crazy as saying nothing exploded and created everything and that the law of entropy doesn't apply to creation. Man loves darkness more than light.
  11. Guess you're going to find out the hard way; after it's too late!
  12. In order to enter the kingdom of God, one must be born-again. That means making repentance to God and putting one's trust in Jesus Christ. At that moment, the person is indwelt by the Holy Spirit for all eternity and given a new heart with new desires and now has a personal relationship with God through his son. This is not religion. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
  13. God knows everything and he can choose to intervene or not to intervene. Did you know that small children are referred to as innocents and should they die, they go to heaven? Those who understand God and his plan do not fear death like the lost person. Those who have been born-again know what happens to a person after death and that people are either with the Lord in heaven or are eternally separated in the lake of fire for all eternity. An evangelist once told me, there are two kinds of people, saint and ain'ts. I was once a militant atheist but was converted when I went to disprove God's existence once and for all. I'm thankful that my name was written in the Lamb's book of life on June 13th, 2007. That afternoon was the moment that I recognized that I was a guilty sinner for breaking God's laws and was deserving of eternal hell. That's when I made repentance towards God and put my faith in Jesus Christ. At that moment I was indwelt by the Holy Spirit for all eternity and given a new heart with new desires. I still sin, but am remorseful, immediately so, when I do it. On the other hand, I delight in knowing the Lord and having my prayers answered by Almighty God. Don't put it off man, you don't know when your last day on this earth is going to be.
  14. It's clear that these two guys get their news from MSLSD and CNN. They know so much that isn't so. TDS is a mental disorder.
  15. CAFE is not a government organization, it's gone anyways. No more.
  16. https://www.youtube.com/@LawrenceTolman LT has a shop in Colorado Springs. I was going to do what you are proposing and the first thing I did was get the truck professionally tuned and turned off AFM. That was over 100K miles ago and AFM is still in there but not turned on. I'll let it ride at this point since she's over 200K now.
  17. There is no more California compliance, they've been stripped of all authority. Once these laws take effect, their new scam is going to be safety and brake dust inspections.
  18. As soon as the first piece was signed into law, the SRT Division at Ram came back to life and they are building Hemi engines again. All GM has to do is delete AFM on the gas engines and do some software changes. With the diesels, it's more of the same, delete the DEF and other garbage systems and update the software. That fixes the existing stuff and saves them money. These changes cannot be undone by the Commies unless they hold super majorities in both houses of Congress and the Presidency. Not gonna happen.
  19. There is still legislation making its way through Congress that will provide concrete guidance on how the manufacturer's can proceed. In a year or two, they'll be able to offer simpler and more reliable engines.
  20. It's not the design. It's how you use it and where you live. A bi-directional scan tool can activate the "Afterblow" process. This will dry out the evaporator when conditions are right.
  21. Post up some pics of the Avalanches when you get the chance.
  22. The L86 engine takes 8 quarts of oil with the filter. Don't mix DexCool with water wetter. It only works if you are using less than 20% Dexcool with water. If running 50/50 or so, it doesn't do anything but drain your wallet. We have used up to 6 quarts of brake fluid to change it all out and do an ABS bleed. Run the severe service schedule from now on.
  23. If yours were mine I'd change the transmission fluid. If it was shifting funny, I'd put my scan tool on it and see if the TECHM needs rebuilding. This you can do on your kitchen table from under the pan for about $150 plus fluids. As for the rust, you can replace the whole box, get new side panels welded in, etc. GM still makes the pieces that makes up the bed. Pull your taillight and shine a light in there to see what's up. The 6L80 is far more enduring than our old 700R4s and takes less power to turn too. I know, in some ways they were simpler with the TV cable, but these are pretty awesome and last a long time when run on the severe service schedule.
  24. Nice time! If memory serves, that 112 mph problem applied to K2 1500s. I recently learned that my kids have been exceeding 112 with their GMT900s with 6.2s too!
