  1. In the last few days I've noticed more trouble with Sirius than before with my 2009 GMC. Just to gripe, since May, I had Yacht Rock saved as a preset. Well yesterday I went and moved my presets around and lost that station. A call to Sirius and they tell me that that station is not for automobiles, that getting it was a "glitch". I ain't gonna die just thought I'd share in case anyone's wondering.
  2. You fellas need a Tech2 or whatever GM is using for the latest products. Each actuator will throw its own trouble code and one of three symptoms explaining what is wrong with it. From 2000 to 2014 the actuator for the driver's side is on the bottom in front of the console. A subscription to AllDataDIY will show you drawings, wiring diagrams and everything else you need to know to service your truck.
  3. Well, since we have drive by wire throttles, there is no IAC, only on the 4.8L. So then, maybe it is one of the two TPS sensors in the throttle body or the TAC, Throttle Actuator Control. I'm new to these engines. Do you have the 2008 Silverado General Information pdf? If not and you'd like a copy, send me an email. [email protected]
  4. This sounds like an IAC (Idle Air Control) motor problem. On older GM cars this was under the throttle body opening and cleaners could short it out if it wasn't removed for cleaning. A faulty one would make the car behave exactly as you describe. Now, do these truck have an IAC in the throttle body? LOL
  5. What year is the L9H? They all had AFM components according to my reading but it was not activated via the PCM until 2010. I figure you'd be fine flashing your PCM to a L9H tune.
