  1. So it ends up that while I found a slice in the black ground wire in the main door harness, I actually only needed to replace fuse #8 in the drivers side fuse panel to get everything working again. Thanks.

  4. I have the same symptoms, but my wire harness looks good, except the thick black wire is cut and exposed some. Ordering a new harness now, hoping to have positive results.
  5. Same issue, any fix?
  6. Any update, same issue right now, 2017 Silverado 1500
  7. Anything ever come of this? Same issue 2017 1500
  8. A word of advice, watch where you drill your hole for the camera to poke through the light. I used a dimple that was centered on the plastic center brake lens, and when I went to install the camera it was in the way of the 3rd brake light bulb, not allowing me to twist and lock it back into its place. I am currently waiting to get some very short led bulbs to try and make it work again. If I was to do it over again, I’d probably move below that indent, and also make sure to angle the hole I drilled downward more. As when I finally finished, the camera just barely saw the tailgate, and the adjustment built into the mirror was all the way down. I’d rather have aimed a bit lower, and then adjusted the mirror back up slightly, but I couldn’t at that point.
  9. Lol, small world when it comes to these trucks I guess. I tapped into fuse # 31 in the drivers side fuse panel, on the side of the dashboard. Its listed as "Accy/Run/Crank" on the label. You put the fuse you take out of #31, into the fuse tap, and then add another 10-15amp fuse for the mirror, and replace the fuse tap where the original fuse was removed. With this fuse, the mirror turns on when you start the truck, and off when you turn the key off.
  10. I didn't bother repinning anything. I used a fuse tap at the drivers side fuse box, and a t tap directly to the #2(red/positive) and #5(white/ground) wires from the diagram above.
  11. Would be interested in cost, and install difficulty.
  12. You definitely cannot just plug in. You'd need to research with echomaster what module would interface with these cameras and your factory headunit. One module is mentioned here on page 17, unsure if you can purchase seperately. https://catalog.echomaster.com/index.php?controller=attachment&id_attachment=1434
  13. Thanks. Previosuly I ended up grabbing power and ground out of the drivers side fuse panel, working now.
  14. I started this, but am at a impasse. My 2017 LT does not power the new mirror when plugged in. I believe you need to already have an auto dimming mirror, for this to work straight away. I am currently awaiting the Harness Doctor harness, to add an auto dimming mirror, hoping this adds the necessary wiring to power the new mirror. @pgamboa Thoughts on the viability of my plan? I haven't seen anyone else mention this issue online.
  15. Just hit 40k miles on my 5.3. Basically zero issues, but my cargo lights don't work, and I don't care enough to trace fuses, and lately I've heard a tiny bit of a pulley whine. I did have to do brakes already, which doesn't make a ton of sense, but oh well.
  16. https://www.adcmobile.com/product/hd-replacement-camera-for-2016-2018-sierra-silverado/ Installed this, and the difference is crazy. Worth it for me, I couldn't stand the blurry old cam.
  17. Tire rack has sensors for $30 each. And you can get the programming tool on amazon for $13. https://www.tirerack.com/tpms/results.jsp?autoMake=Chevrolet&autoModel=Silverado+1500+LD+4WD&autoYear=2019&autoModClar= https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XVR85N7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  18. This is probably a useless addition to your thread, but I put the remote under my chin as I press the button and it extends my range.
  19. 2022 F250 will look better, and the GM interior update is coming soon too.
  20. I did this also, and the results are more than worth it. I did not take pictures, but the new camera has a much clearer picture. Great upgrade.
  21. I looked into these special paint colors, they do come direct from the factory, but I couldn’t understand why some had the weirdly painted front fenders either. Couple guys on her ordered their trucks in the “shock” highlighter yellow. Definitely a stand out color.
  22. Just did the same a few weeks ago for my 2017. Easy upgrade.
  23. No problem. Best of luck.
  24. Yep.

Chevy/GMC both should be using 433hz sensors in 2020.
