I have a 21 1500 with the 3.0L Duramax as well. I installed a 3"Cognito coilover in the front and 1"block in the rear and have 35x11.5 on the stock 20"wheels. I noticed a decrease in my MPG with my best pre lift being around 28 and best now is like 25 (i drive a lot and mostly see 23- but I do drive 80!) I also took off the front air damn so there is a decrease in aerodynamics as well. I recalibrated my speedometer with the Rough Country speedometer calibrator as well so the numbers are fairly accurate.
My truck is in the shop for some body work and I’m in a rental with wired CarPlay. I actually like the wired responsiveness and lack of lag in it. Is there anyway to use the wired CarPlay and disable the wireless in my 21 Silverado?
I went with the Cognito 3" coilover kit and I am super happy with it! I mean, I would love to lift it 5-6 inches and run 37's but I cant do that as I drive almost 55 miles daily. The Cognito coilover's (Fox shocks) ride great and I kept my stock wheels and went with 35x11.50- I did need a 1/4" spacer on the front and did some minor trimming, but the ride and droop on those coilovers is ridiculous! When I went to rotate my tires my big floor jack just barely got the fronts off the ground because of all of the travel on the suspension
Hey guys, I’m about to replace my bumpers after a little accident and was wondering where to find replacement sensors- mine are in a chrome bumper and I’m going to black. Anyone know where I can get some good black sensors? I don’t want to have to take the bumper off because I bought crappy ones thanks!
My wife’s 20 Tahoe (just turned 2 years old) has been having an issue where she it’s filled up, the fuel gauge doesn’t go all the way to full. It kinda hangs out near it,, when the tank is totally topped off. Then the next day will go all the way to full on the gauge. Anyone else have anything like that? Would this be a fuel sending unit issue? Any help appreciated
I really like them! I would love to have AMP Research steps, but I didn't want to pay that much. They are very solid feeling and the install was very easy. I got the bed lined version and really like them
I added lights to my Diamondback HD. They wanted $50 for a battery operated one. I got this kit from amazon LED Lights for $28 bucks, a little split loom to cover the wire ($10) and a few feet of extra wire ($10). I wired into the constant power from the trailer connection and now I have two light bars, one for each lid of the top (kit comes with two light bars). It has a remote that you can change the color too, which is really nice in the morning changing to hunt (turn it on red and you don't mess up your night time vision)
I have a 21 Silverado Z71 LTZ with the 3.0L. I have had the 5.3 L in my past two Chevy's but wanted to be back in a diesel. I traded mine in and got this one and love it! It has 12K miles on it now and has a 3" Cognito Coil over lift, 35x11.5 Toyo Open Country ATIII's, Go Rhino running boards, Diamondback HD Tonneau cover, Auto Stop Eliminator, Rough Country Speedometer calibrator, and debadged (Except the "Duramax"- I had to leave that!)
Cognito 3" lift with Fox Coilovers. 35x11.5x20 Toyo Open Country ATIII on stock rims- minor trimming and mudflap delete with McGaughy's Mudflap delete 2021 Z71 (Debadged except for the DURAMAX) LTZ 3.0 L Duramax Auto Stop Eliminator Diamondback HD tonneau Go Rhino Running boards Complete LasFit LED light conversion
I tapped into the trailer connector constant power and then I got a kit from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08N429SKJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 It works amazingly well The only thing is that the kit doesn't have enough wire, so I had to add some to reach the trailer connector
Has anyone seen or heard of anyone spraying bedliner (either the DIY kits or Line-X) over there felt wheel well liners? I was thinking about doing this to make clean up easier but wanted to see if anyone had done or seen this first. Also does anyone have a link to a video on Norcal modding the 19-21 Chevy's for larger tires? Thanks guys
