  1. Had that piece deleted and still makes the noise under full throttle. Took off the tips and closed the hole on the muffler where the condensations drain is and the noise hasn't changed. My only thought is because it has dual tips out the muffler. Ill have to change the whole exhaust to get rid of it most likely. Don't know if it will bother me that much and don't know if that's it 100% or its supposed to be that way. I digress.
  2. Getting it cut out as we speak and a piece of slick pipe welded in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have the GM Borla side exit exhaust. I can get that flapper section cut out and rewelded with a slick piece or tack the spring open. WOuld there be a disadvantage to tacking it open rather than having it cut out? I like the exhaust and how it sounds/looks Id like to keep it if I could.
  4. Ok great. Ill have it cut out and a new piece welded in or buy a new exhaust. Tacking it open would have the same affect as cutting it out wouldn't it? Do you hear the squeal in the first video? I know the whine is normal and appreciated but the high squeal doesn't sound right. I've never had a Supercharged vehicle so I don't know.

  6. Hello All, I got my truck back from the shop after having the supercharger put on and when I totally pin the throttle I hear a loud squealing noise from mid cabin. The supercharger whine is awesome but gets drowned out by the squeal under full throttle. I had a truck before make that noise when the exhaust I put on was not clamped down right. It made me think of the flapper valve in the GM Borla exhaust I have and was wondering if that could be it. Its in the same area I hear the noise? The tune took off the cylinder deactivation so I no longer need the flapper. Any suggestions on the flapper? I was going to tack weld it open but wasn't sure if that would stop the noise and also thought about cutting out that piece of pipe and welding in a new piece. Any suggestions? I know [mention=118595]1SLOW1500[/mention] has dealt with several modded trucks. What do you think?
  7. Yes sir. I just started following you. Denali_34 is my user Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks man. I love your truck as well. I’ve been following your build since last year. Do you own a powder coating shop? That white and bronze is [emoji91]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks! Parts alone are past 8500 so far not including labor. My wife doesn’t know that much yet [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. How often should I check the catch can? Don’t know much about the setup as it is. Thanks for your help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Here’s a pic of the Norris catch can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. She’s Alive! Tuning to do tomorrow and should be done on Thursday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Forgot to post baseline numbers from their dyno. 349HP/374TQ Not too bad. No tune on stock just Volant CAI, Borla Exhaust and Tony Mamo throttle body
  14. It’s not running yet. That’s day 1 of the build. They are finishing the mechanical part tomorrow then start tuning with HP tuner software Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I am hoping for more but being conservative at first. David said realistically over 550. We’ll see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hello all. Well the time is finally here. Dropped off my truck at Vengeance Racing to get my 2.9L Whipple put on. They’re installing the Supercharger, Kooks Headers, Taylor wires, NGK Plugs, Catch Can, 180 degree Thermostat, Smaller pulley and custom HP tune. Expecting 520+ WHP. Thanks for following along. 17. Reliability should be a non issue. They most likely put a 1.9L blower on it which is about the safest low level boosted one made. Canned tune shouldve put about 75 whp down all said and done. Total power somewhere in the neighborhood of 450whp. If that's what you're going for then its a hell of a deal.
  18. Thanks for the input! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. The used that same kit number for the 2017 year models. There is no difference in the truck between 2017 and 2018 year models. That kit comes with rear shocks which you will not need if you have Magneride. You will need to purchase the extension brackets not listed with the kit. The wheels I have are the stock 22" wheels. I believe they are 9" wide. The clear the upper control arms. The stock 20" that come on the trucks will not clear and will require spacers. I am running 285/55R22 tires.
  20. No cutting or grinding. It drops the diff with new hardware. 100% returnable to stock. Major reason I went with this kit. Guaranteed no stabilitrak issues as well. Very well made kit. The only downfall I ever read on Pro Comp is their shocks aren’t that great. Luckily I kept my magneride [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. After looking over several kits I decided to have the Pro Comp 4” lift installed on my truck. It had the best reviews and my local shop recommended the kit. It uses my factory magneride shocks. Couldn’t be happier. I originally planned on the Fabtech 4” kit but decided against it when I saw the parts being replaced. Here is the kit if anyone is interested. Kept my stock 22’s without the need for spacers. Rides amazing. Now I wait on the Magnuson Supercharger to be installed next month... https://www.procompusa.com/suspension-product-details.aspx?pt=3533&pl=1808&partno=EXPK1173B Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Installed a 4” Pro Comp lift kit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I do not think they would clear. Mine scrub when turning left and scrub pretty bad in reverse in either direction at 1/2 to 3/4 lock. Not to mention and undulation and turning. I’m having the 4” Fabtech lift installed this week to help. I still heard it scrubs when it flexes with this kit. We’ll see. Love the tire but it’s almost a 35” tire. Good luck to you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I am currently running 285/55R22 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires. I found them much smoother than the OE Bridgestone's. They are stiffer being 10ply but I prefer that. They also come with a 55k warranty which is important to me as I drive 100 miles a day for work. I am very pleased with them. They were very reasonable too! I got the set for less than $1900 out the door with road hazard!!
  25. I used the full 2.5”. I put on 285/55R22 Tires. No ride quality difference. Make sure and get it aligned afterwards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
