This month we want your tow rigs. Show us what you're towing hooked up to your truck. Travel trailers, horse trailers, cargo trailers, boats, etc. Whatever you tow we want to see it hooked up to your truck. Up for grabs as always a tire shine package. A couple bottles of Armor All Extreme Tire Shine. This stuff is my favorite. I go through it by the case. My new Grandson approves it...... Let's see those Tow Rigs

I'm still monkeying around trying to recalibrate my speedometer. The rough Country speedometer calibrator didn't work out I tried three different computers. The third try I got it to download the programming into the computer but when I tried to run the program it wouldn't let it. It's a firewall issue and way more than I want to F with. I could try a Hypertech unit for $229 but they make the RC unit. They also have an inline unit you have to download your info into then plug it in and leave it. I'm not sure what to do.

2018 Crew Cab Z71 LT (first lifted truck build)
dieselfan1 replied to CovetedStyle's topic in Member Build Threads
I want some horns. What model are the horns? What direction do you mount them? A dude passed me the other day and blew his horns at me and waved and said nice rig. It was deafening. Please post up a video so we can hear them tonight. BTW The candy blue is going to look unbelievable in the sunshine. -

Nice setup. Keep the pics coming. I got two dogs but they are small. One is a 11 lb. Pomeranian and a 6 lb pom poo. They like riding on the back seat when I have them both or if I only have one them they ride up front on the center console. -
What's your budget? I have the Borla S type catback system. Duals straight out the back. It sounds real good. Not too loud. But loud enough. At hwy speed it's not loud at all in the cab. Under load she growls though. Lifetime warranty. All stainless steel. Around $929 It's all a matter of opinion on what sound you like. There are lots of quality systems out there. Corsa was second on my list. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324050550255 Not to mention it looks badass

Had a little mishap with the father in law today. Met him at Home Depot to get some lumber. First thing he said was " What did you do to your truck"? I told him I did this right after Christmas he hadn't seen it since then. His battery went dead while we were in the store . So I had to give him a ride home to get some jumper cables . So he is riding in the back seat with his mask on and when we get there I told him I could grab the cables. He insists on getting them. I get out anyways. So when he gets out of the truck he forgets how high it is. Well I'm not going into details but he wasn't too happy . He's 79 and can be a real crabass sometimes. Jesus Christ why him of all people.

Got the lift shackles installed Friday night. Raised the rear another inch. Now it undoubtedly has a slight rake. Without these it looked like the ass end was a hair lower. Ish. These pics don't do justice. Hopefully I can get it all cleaned up today and get it ready to get some pics on the Custom Offsets gallery. There is not many Crew cabs with a 6.5' bed on there. Even less with a 9"McGaughys and chrome wheels.

Problems w Gamboa mod for off road light switch
dieselfan1 replied to Crankycolnago's topic in Modifications & Accessories
This would have been better handled by a PM Don't sweat it he will get you through this. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk -
Did a little something today I been thinking about doing since I opened the boxes on the lift kit. I cut a piece of 16g polished stainless steel and put it behind the McGaughys logo cutout on the the crossmember I'm a big fan of stainless and this was a cheap and easy mod. Do you let him wrench on the Camaro too??

It is unlevel. The driveway is a little lower on the right side. The asphalt is shot also. Too many years of my heavy ass trucks parked there. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

A real good buddy of mine stopped by this morning and was in awe when he saw the truck. He was looking over the front suspension and commented how simple of a setup it was. He said the Kryptonite UCA's were an excellent choice too. He has a 2012 3500 on a 6" BDS with 35's for his work truck /hauler and has every part in the Kryptonite catalog on his front end. I said "Thanks Sherlock" "I did my homework on this one" . He also has a 79 Trans Am smoky and the bandit edition. He's in the process of getting parts together for it and told me he has a few extra hood decals. The big bird decal gold in color. He said I could have one but I have to put it on the truck. I think it would look dumb but he insists it would look killer. The price is right but if it looks stupid then what? One thing for sure now you need to be six feet tall to see the hood.

I ordered some lift shackles for the rear leafs. It will raise the rear an inch . For the most part right now it's dead level. I took the spare tire off so there is zero weight in the back too. I want it up a little more so if I put some weight in the back, it don't sag. Get them put on Friday. Get all the bolts checked over and re-torqued at the same time. Can't say enough about On the Rocks 4x4. Also ordered some gloss black wrap for my bowties. Them big gold ones seem to stick out more now for some reason.
