  1. My window is leak free so far. I never took the spoiler off mine though. Just tried to prevent the water from getting to the spoiler mounting points.
  2. I never got it off. I just tightened the sensor back on and hoped for the best. I have terrible luck with sensor and electrical plugs. All done. No leaks so far. Knock on wood.
  3. Oil pressure sender is giving me fits. How do you disconnect the plug from the switch? It seems simple but I can’t budge it.
  4. Lines are out. New hose is in hand. Putting it back together tomorrow.
  5. I did two and still had a few slight leaks. I did another and discovered one leak on the driver’s side where the sealant had settled into a slight depression by a crack in the frame. I used the 4th tube and now no leaks. I’ve pretty much filled the space between the glass and the body when viewed from the outside. Between that and sealing the space between the body and the front of the spoiler I believe I’ve stopped the water getting in.
  6. Eh. It’s a design flaw. They all do it. Ford, Dodge, GM, Toyota, Nissan, et al. I’ve been into GM fullsizes since the 90’s and owned or been around every generation since the 70’s and they all have issues you have to fix or live with. Also owned and been around a bunch of other make trucks and SUV’s and they all have issues.
  7. I never did. I just sealed up all the access points before that so water can’t get to those screws.
  8. Check the top strut bolts. They’ll seem tight when the suspension is hanging but then at ride height they will have slop and be loose. Impact them down.

  10. It’s a poor design on GM’s part. Only way it would work better is LOTS more sealant/adhesive but I bet the bean counters control that. Mine took most of four tubes of sealant all along the top before I had the leak stopped 100%. Some guys reported a tube or two and were good. I also sealed up the front of the spoiler where it meets the cab.
  11. Look through his posts. He’s actually where I figured it out. Sealed up the entry points from the top of the spoiler and then sealed around the top edge of the window. Even in driving rain I’m leak free now.
  12. Again…it can be fixed by yourself for about $15-60 without losing the window function.
  13. Guess you’ve never crawled up a rutted incline or banged a rock or rut off a skid plate. Do I regularly do that with this truck? No. Have I done it? Yes. Glad I had low range and skids to save me.
  14. There’s a TSB for that noise. It was a bigtopic on here 3-4 years ago.
  15. What all did you have to remove/loosen/whatever?
  16. Ok. I was just wondering if any of those gave you issues and got mangled or anything.
  17. Dumb question v2.0 - I’m ordering a new sensor and gasket. Did you have trouble with anything for the other end? GM shows a spring clip, oil cooler connector, and cap.
  18. I’m going to try and upgrade to better hoses and connections. I will keep you in mind as a backup though.
  19. Ok. I’ll have to get new of those.
  20. Dumb question - what did you guys replace along with the hose? The GM parts diagram shows gaskets on each end, bolts, and a sensor?
  21. Yay…mine is leaking now. I was reading on another forum where a guy cut off the factory end clip things, used new hose and hose clamped it onto the original fittings. This sounds doable.
  22. See if you can get a breaker bar between sides of the motor mounts…but not sure if there’s space for that.
  23. You might ask over on the HD forum on this site. That's where this question should be and where owners of other HD trucks are. 2020-2024 Silverado HD & Sierra HD - GM-Trucks.com
