  1. Quick update... I ended up getting $45,500 trade in for my 2019 LT Trail Boss with 20,500 miles. Carvana offered me $46,000, but went with the trade in at Toyota to make the transaction seamless. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  2. There are for sure 2020's out there with the issue, but I believe it is yet to be seen if the 2021's will have the issue. I wouldn't be surprised though... Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  3. Well I did a thing today... While my truck is "fixed", I decided to just take the easy road and trade it in for a 2020 4Runner. It's been real guys, but won't miss the water leaks, transmission slips, rear end bucking, etc... It's a pretty truck though! Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  4. Carvana gave me a quote of 44k, which is more than I owe on truck, and gives me hope that I might be able to get more at a dealership... Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  5. Has anyone recently gotten rid of their 2019 Trail Boss? I have roughly 19k miles, and I'm on my 3rd replacement rear glass... While the vehicle is "fixed" I'm thinking of jumping ship and going with something different. What should I reasonable look to get for my TB? It's got leather, the convenience package 1 and 2, basically fully loaded... I also added the bakflip mx4 bed cover and rough country side steps. Thanks in advance! 7. So my truck is back at the dealer, as my state (South Carolina) requires I give GM one final repair attempt before I can claim the truck as a lemon. A GM engineer was on-site for the inspection, and low and behold they found a crack in my replacement window, same place it cracked on the original window... My new window should be installed early next week, and I was told it has been improved and reengineered... Sounds like dealership talk for it's the same damn flawed design... Has anyone heard of there being a new design rear window out there? My first replacement was from August 2019. For those that may not know my entire store. My original window was resealed per the TSB, then the window was replaced entirely, then the replacement window was resealed, and now I'm looking at another new rear window. On the bright side, maybe the 2021's will be out by the time I finally get to formally claim my truck is a leaky lemon. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  8. In the same day it was discovered they had the glass company come back and try to reseal it, which also didn't work. Last week I took it back to the dealership for them to take a look at it and see if it were anything simple like the sunroof drain being undone, but it wasn't... They have ordered me a brand new windshield and seals that should be in, just waiting on the glass company to call and arrange a time to install. In the meantime my claim with the BBB autoline had been approved to go forward, so hoping to be done with this truck in the next few weeks or months... Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  9. That's exactly why I didn't get the tundra when I was first shopping, but in 2020 they added push button start and heated seats to the TRD pro. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  10. True, which is why I'm leaning towards Toyota or Nissan for my next truck, if I can get outta my leaky lemon without losing my ads... Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  11. And the uconnect infotainment... We had it in our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it was glitchy and would go completely black from time to time. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  12. So in the process of replacing my headliner because of water staining from the rear window leak, I now have a leak from my front window... Apparently the front windshield had to be removed to replace the headliner. Oh, and my rear window is leaking AGAIN!!! My dealership has tried to reseal the original window, then the entire rear window was replaced, then the new rear window was resealed, and now I've discovered the leak yet again. I'll be calling back my Chevy corporate rep tomorrow, and possibly a SC lemon law lawyer depending on how the conversation with Chevy goes... Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  13. Update on my truck today after spending another 3 days at the dealership. Apparently SafeLite resealed my replacement rear window again today. When asked if they saw anything noticably wrong with the rear window or if they were just blindly resealing, the advisor basically told me they were blindly resealing it... Needless to say I'm not real confident in the "fix" and formally filed a complaint with Chevy to see what my options were. I believe I owe less on the truck than I could get at trade in, but we'll see... Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  14. I was leak free for 6 months after the replacement. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  15. I'd be happy just walking away from the truck and getting a Ford or Toyota... Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  16. Here is the part number on my replacement window that just failed again. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  17. So is the issue completely isolated to those of us with the rear sliding glass? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  18. Mine was good for 6 months, and the rear window was installed by Safelite... My bet is yours will fail again. I think there is something fundamental wrong with the truck or window assembly, and I'm worried I'll be chasing this issue for the life of the truck... Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  19. Any idea where to find the part number? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  20. Not sure, they actually had Safelite do the install to make sure it was done "right". Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  21. So my entire window was replaced in September, seemed good for 6 months, now rear window is leaking again... Fu@k!!!! I love this truck except for this damn rear window! Is the problem isolated to just those of us with the rear sliding glass? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  22. Check out proclip. Pricy but really nice. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  23. I have the rough country running boards in my trail boss, and they certainly helped make the vehicle easier to get in and out of. My 7 year old is able to jump in and out without assistance now. The rough country are much cheaper, and match the appearance of the trail boss much better than the oe running boards, imho at least. 24. I've already debaged the tailgate, and thinking about removing the bed side vinyl decals. Has anyone done this? Sent from my Samsung S10+ using Tapatalk
