  1. @pgamboa can get you upgraded to an OEM wireless charging lid but like @rav3 said, depending on what phone you have, you may be better with other options if it's too big for the '18 wireless charging lid.
  2. Installed an LED light strip underneath my tailgate. I'd rather have a Putco but for $60, I figured RC was worth a try. Has 3rd brake, full brake, turn signal, and white reverse light functions. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  3. I do not but it's not hard to change the driver side bulb for the purpose of that. If I remember later, I'll swap one out and point it at my garage door when it's dark out, see if it makes a good side-by-side comparison. I put them in last week so I haven't had them in long. 4. If you have HIDs, they are Philips D5S 25W bulbs with a color temp of 4500K-4800K. Color temp will do nothing for brightness and going to 6500K is going to start turning blue when seen from a distance. Immediate light output out front of your vehicle will still look bright white. If you want brighter bulbs then you need to increase the wattage. DiodeDynamics has a plug and play bulb that is 35W and can be purchased in 5000K and 6000K color temp options. Morimotos also offer 35W bulbs but they are a bit higher on the color temp scale coming in at 5500K and 6500K. Morimoto also has a 55W kit but I believe at that point you now have to upgrade your ballast to go up to 55W. Don't quite me on that because I don't have any experience with the Morimoto 55W setup. I did upgrade to the DiodeDynamics 35W 5000K HID bulbs and so far I'm extremely pleased. Definitely more light output with the increased lumens but looks same as factory at 5000K.
  5. Bet it felt as good as removing a face mask after wearing one for 8 hours feels like..... ?
  6. I forgot to add that it is paintable if you want to color match it to your hood but they will not accept a return once it's painted. The LightShields for the Rams are coming in now with some already painted so I'd assume Chevy trucks won't be too far behind to have them color matched right from AVS. I like the matte look though and can always paint it later if I change my mind.
  7. $190 MSRP but I got mine during a big promo sale they had on just the LightShield hood protectors a few weeks ago. I think I ended up paying $115 during the sale. https://www.autoventshade.com/avs-753123-aeroskin-lightshield-hood-protector It is super easy to wire up but I went a different route. They supply 2 screw style wire taps for wiring into your parking lights and a ground wire. I actually used an add-a-fuse right in the fuse box underneath the hood. 28 and 29 are micro 15 amp fuses for the right and left parking lights, respectively. I forgot the add-a-circuits need both fuses so initially I only had the ambers and NO parking lamp, or a parking lamp and NO ambers.....stopped this morning for another micro 15 amp fuse and got it working as intended. For the ground I just grounded it to the vehicle chassis. They come on whenever the parking lamps come on so basically anytime my fogs come on with the 10-22 diode mod, the ambers also come on.
  8. Decided to pull the trigger on an AVS LightShield. I'm REALLY pleased with how it turned out. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  9. I was using Mobil 1 0W20 since I picked up the truck at 13k miles. I just recently switched to Shell Rotella Gas Truck 0W20 at 43k miles since NAPA was running a great sale. Bought 3 sets of oil so that will cover me for the next 15k-20k miles. Planning to try Amsoil but between having to order it and the Rotella being readily available at NAPA, had to pull the trigger and try it out.
  10. Yeah man I get compliments all the time. Those reverse bulbs are bright af, almost blinding to look at.
  11. Both bulbs are from DiodeDynamics. I've had great experiences with them in the past so I've continued to stick with their products. Everything on my truck right now is from DD except the LED tail lights which you can't really change, obviously. I did put in their LED reverse bulbs though. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  12. Tonight was a brighter LED 3rd brake light. Brighter HID bulbs. Changed my halogen front turn signals to LEDs and wired in resistors to get rid of hyper flashing. Talk about tight spaces and wiring harness tabs that do not want to release.....grrr That's all I could handle in 95 degree heat working on a black truck. Everything I touched was burning! 13. Perfect video to watch. He goes through the disassembly of both the all black and chrome sided key fobs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DwwZzDnzw4
  14. OP has his trucked listed as a 2016 and the Morimotos I don't think will fit any of the vertical style fog lights on the 2016+ K2's. I could be wrong but TRS couldn't answer that for me. They said "we're not sure" when I called them. I'd fork over the cash for Morimotos if they had them for 2016+ K2's.....
  15. I don't know if these are the ones you are looking for but there is a set for sale in the for sale/wanted section. https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/239896-genuine-gm-skid-plate-kit-part-23176881-brand-new-aluminium/
  16. ........ I'm digging this idea. You just got me thinking now. I have a good buddy of mine that has a 3D printer..... Maybe I will do the same thing.
  17. I'm in the same boat as you and I don't even have the wireless charging lid on my jump seat. Note 10+ with an Otter Box doesn't fit so I have to just stick it in a cup holder since I haven't found a better mounting solution or cradle for it. Funny how that works though. Never big enough for a flagship phone. Granted, they probably made that area big enough for the biggest phones at the time but should have given more real estate considering every year phones seem to get bigger and bigger...
  18. I have no idea since I'm using a Range AFM device to disable the cylinder deactivation. I have heard, though, that it sounds like an angry helicopter following you when it drops to 4 cylinders.
  19. The fob casing itself won't improve your range like everyone one else has said. Mine had a cheap battery that was probably near dead. I had to be within 20 feet of my truck for the fob to work. Changing out the battery with a good, and brand new battery got me back up to about 100-150 feet, 150 is lucky and not every time but at least I don't have to go down to the garage to start my truck. Just want to clear that up that it was the battery that got me better range, not the key fob casing.
  20. Like dsr611 said, to each their own. Everyone has their preference. On the right vehicles, I think chrome looks sharp and makes the vehicle stand out with a little bit of a luxurious touch. Me, however, I can't stand chrome on my own vehicles. It always comes off. I'm a blacked out kind of guy. Last 3 vehicles (current truck included) had no chrome and if it did, it was replaced with black. I took off my chrome Z71 door emblems and rear tailgate emblems and replaced them with Redline emblems. The only chrome I have (well, it's not "chrome") is the silver around the black Chevy logos. ?
  21. Figure out how much you want for them and post it in the For Sale/Wanted thread. FYI - I believe the 50 post count requirement is no longer necessary. https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/forum/14-for-salewanted/
  22. Pictures are worth a thousand words.....right??? Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  23. I don't have any experience with any of this but just wanted to throw out that AVS has an AeroSkin flush mount hood protector that has the Raptor style amber lights.....keeping my eye on it.....still not sure whether I'm going to pull the trigger on it yet.....thanks to the wife, she said "that looks weird, like you have burnt out LEDs". ?? Gee, thanks honey. Now my engineering brain is looking at it like that..... https://www.autoventshade.com/all-products?cat=330
  24. So.....pardon my ignorance, but do the trans pans already have a magnet for these fuzzy shavings or am I supposed to add the magnet to catch these fuzzy shavings? I'm getting close to probably doing this myself as I think my ODO just rolled over 49,000 miles this morning. Trying to be proactive on a lot of things based on experiences and recommendations from other more knowledgeable members on this forum. If I don't have a magnet, I'll be adding one when I do the trans oil change.
  25. Wow Frankie, you let them leave your truck on just the jacks?!?! I would have thrown a fit and told them to put up some jack stands....?
