  1. Adjusting the bass dramatically affects the door speakers. You would think the bass would only affect the Bose subwoofer , but I’d say all low bass comes from the doors and the mid bass actually comes from the subwoofer . Which makes sense as the stock subwoofer is very small in comparison to the 6x9s in the doors.
  2. While I was fixing the rear window rattle, I also noticed the metal tabs for the child restraints will rattle if there not pushed completely solid to the back. I shoved some foam on the front side of them to put pressure on them just now
  3. If I had a second car And I wasn’t handy at removing car panels and etc from doing stereos I’d probably would take it to the dealership , but since I didn’t buy the vehicle from my local dealer, there about 50/50 on giving me a loaner sometimes. And I just can not run the risk of not getting my truck Back in time. I’m also scared of them touching anything on the inside lol. Maintenance I’m cool with, but I’ve heard horror stories off them just destroying panels either with scratches or leaving grease stains
  4. I’m debating what to do, I have some 3m Tessa tape I use for car audio installs that I think would work good. I’ll have to spend some time taking a better look to make sure whatever I do, do to it, does not cause any binding or issues
  5. But in case anyone’s reads this thread looking for an answer, here are a few issues I found on the forum that cause a noise in the rear 1.) the headrests, pull them out and spread the prongs out just a little to snug up the fit 2.) Make sure your tire jack is secure 3.) The seat belt covers in the c pillars are loose and can rattle 4.) And if your hearing a pop once in a while, it’s your spoiler on the outside of your car 5.) lastly, check the chain linkage for the rear slider power wire. It presses up against the glass
  6. That was the first thing I checked cuz it happened in my 15, but figured it out finally . All good
  7. Amazing that it just rest right up against the glass like that, only does it when the rear Slider window Is closed as it puts slack in the linkage
  8. I found out what it is, I’ll attach pictures in a bit, but it’s the plastic linkage that protects the rear slider power wire, looks like a chain but plastic
  9. My 15’ had rattles everywhere, my 19’ is much better so far
  10. yea sliding glass, i'm almost 80% sure that's what it is, but cant pinpoint it. Ill have to have a friend or someone sit in the rear and try and see where its coming from
  11. I have this rattle in the rear area, rear right passenger area. Sounds like its either coming from the rear window on the lower portion or the c pillar. I removed both headrest to see if that would fix it, and also removed the seat belt covers on the pillars as well. Placed the seats in the up position as well and still having issue. Still no fix, anyone else have any experience with this. Happens when i go over slight bumps and obviously larger bumps. Other than that the truck is pretty quiet except when i go over very rough bumps. Any suggestions you guys have would be great. Thanks!
  12. These units are made by k&n and most likely washable as the filter is identical to the one I had for my 2015 Silverado from k&n, which was washable. Dealership just can’t wash and then let it dry for the customer, to much wasted time for them I would think so they just try to sell you a new one
  13. But you have To pay for labor , I think they charge .5 hours. Only flash is included
  14. I had this same issue, go to the parts store and have them print up the installation instructions, on the 2nd page it states that the flash is indeed included in the price and what they should charge it to. I ended up paying first then going to get the install instructions and showing them. They had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to charge it correctly though. GM not making it easy for these guys
  15. I have this installed as well. The MAF tune it comes with I think is great . I had CAI installed for a week before I took it in for the tune and I almost wanted to take it out, truck shifted differently (rougher) and I thought it may relearn by itself, but maybe I didn’t give it enough time to do so. After tune it’s a whole different thing, shifts better for me with the tune on it and don’t regret the extra money spent on the gm CAI One bit. Sound is more noticeable on lighter throttle and medium acceleration
  16. Def way better than all those .50 cal bullet antennas I see
  17. any fitment issues with the BAK tonneAU cover, Ive been looking at this one and the Gator HR1 Tonneau. Some of the reviews were people complaining on fitment issues with the new silverados/sierras
  18. I used my Chevy gm point and was able to get it for 400. So at that price it’s was a no brainer to get compared to the rest of the CAI, definitely the best looking one too IMO. The sound is noticeable when you apply medium or more acceleration, mostly accelerating from a dead stop. You won’t hear it ever just cruising. Performance side, I haven’t noticed to much. But I still have to bring it in To get the ECU flashed. Shifting has changed since I put it in so hopefully the flash helps with smoothing it out .
  19. Just installed the GM CAI, sounds great!
