E85 Option
MTU Alum replied to C/K Man's topic in 6.6L Gas V8 & HD Transmission Powertrain (L8T/MYD)
E85 was a late release but it should be available. E85 is restricted to WT or Pro trims. It's generally a fleet play anymore. #iworkforGM- 1 reply

MTU Alum replied to Agargano98's topic in 2020-2024 Silverado HD & Sierra HD
Oshawa can only build crew cab standard bed chevys 2500 and 3500. Oshawa is limit on some of chevy options as well. They currently can't build z71 sports there. -

Great. There is a software bug we discovered with another TAC case. -
Transparent trailer won't calibrate
MTU Alum replied to Topath's topic in 2020+ Silverado HD & Sierra HD Troubleshooting
Try reducing to reducing the measurement of overall height to metric equalivent of 118 inches or less. If the transparent tile is grayed out, it will never calibrate. Update the height and then look at camera app and see if you can select the transparent view. If so, then try to calibrate. -
GMC 2500 and 3500 bumper badges
MTU Alum replied to Sam Avaiusini's topic in 2020-2024 Silverado HD & Sierra HD
Most dealers do not have a clue. Reason#1 - advertising of high towing in very competitive 2500 market. Ford has been doing this for years. Reason#2 - some states there are vehicle registration or insurance reasons to be 2500 or 3500 where it's cheaper one way or other. Reason#3 - for some models there are CDL advantages. 14,000 GVW trailers are popular. If the 3500 model has 12100 GVW and 2500 NHT has 11750 GVW the 3500 would CDL whereas 2500 NHT does not with 14k GVW trailer. #iworkforGM -

2024 Brake controller Problems
MTU Alum replied to Curt Lowe's topic in 2020+ Silverado HD & Sierra HD Troubleshooting
The fix is the trailer brake power module that was on the HDs in 2023. The light duties are currently building with this part. The models that are affective are: 2024 HD, 2023 mid size truck, and GMC Hummer. -
Poor fuel mileage on 2024 Duramax
MTU Alum replied to MesaRat's topic in 2020+ Silverado HD & Sierra HD Troubleshooting
Sounds pretty typical. It will probably pick up a little but I wouldn't expect more than 16 to 16.5 on two lane with stop and go. There was a change late in 2020 model year where the engine Regens more frequently to help prevent cracking DPFs. The mileage went down with regen frequency. #iworkforGM -
GMC 2500 and 3500 bumper badges
MTU Alum replied to Sam Avaiusini's topic in 2020-2024 Silverado HD & Sierra HD
The frames are the same structurally between 2500 and 3500. The difference is on crew cab standard where they remove the overload springs fasteners from the frame on 2500s to save a few bucks. #iworkforGM -

2024 Brake controller Problems
MTU Alum replied to Curt Lowe's topic in 2020+ Silverado HD & Sierra HD Troubleshooting
Unless you are charging your trailer batteries going down the road, the likelihood of needing this is low. There are some issues with hydrastar EOH brakes that maybe related as well. -

There should be a service part available next week once they publish the bulletin. #iworkforGM
