  1. Cafe still exists but the fines are zero currently as the EPA is bringing a new proposal to automakers. Its likely a rollback to 2020 standards with 1% year over year improvements. Endangerment is going to be stuck in the courts for a while. I don't see anyway of getting a super majority. You have to get 60 votes in the Senate. Even if you get all 53 Republicans, you are still 7 votes short. Just not going to happen. Emissions standards and CAFE are likely not going away. They maybe relaxed some to allow more v8s, change some of the derate max speeds, dial back future Emissions standards like LEV4 and Tier 4 but there won't be any extreme changes.
  2. The automakers still don't have anything in writing from EPA on what the new CAFE standards will be. In the endangerment ruling for GHG will be tied up in courts until it gets to Supreme Court. CAFE fines aren't that much to automakers it's the GHG fines that would be a company in bankruptcy (55,000 per vehicle). Just remember an ICE emissions program takes about 36 months to execute. There will be a new administration in January 2029. Government moves slow to put pencil to paper.
  3. The issue is fixed in Y175. It should be available soon. They are getting close to sending out over the air updates soon if you took your truck in for CGM update.
  4. Oshawa only builds Chevrolet Silverado crew cabs. They have the ability to build certain variants on 2500 and 3500 crew cab standard box chevys. In addition, they can build 1500 crew cab short boxes chevys with L84 engine/5.3l. GM's new winning with simplicity reduces exterior colors down to six per trim.
  5. There is a typo in the Chevrolet website footnote and I have been trying to fix it for a month or so. Only trucks with QG3 - Hankook dynpro have the reduced conventional towing. The gooseneck fifth wheel numbers are unchanged. This tire is no longer available but you may still find a few on the lots. #iworkforGM
  6. If you drive forward and select the transparent view, do you get a calibration status bar at the bottom of the screen?
  7. Can you select the transparent view or is it grayed out? If grayed out, is your height dimension over 118 inches?
  8. These 2024s have the latest cybersecurity from GM. There is a central gateway module right behind the serial data port. It's very difficult to hack the newer trucks.
  9. Is there a problem with your 7 way trailer connection? If truck does not detect a trailer attached, then trailer camera won't work.
  10. The 18" tire is same compound, tread pattern, and side wall height as 17" tire. The resistance to flat spotting would be similar.
  11. 18" tires are new for 2024. This is a new size that was added to tire and rim chart. There has been issues with front hub extensions and might be the issue vs tires. #iworkforGM
  12. While I know some of these look bad, they are not an issue. It's just where the belts come together. If you inspect most truck tires they all have bumps in similar area but they generally have a tire design that masks the area better than Goodyear. I have seen numerous Michelin tires with same bumps in sidewall. I wouldn't be concerned with it.
  13. 1500 campaign is only in Canada.
  14. NHTSA requires like 80% of parts to be available to do a recall. It's going to take a little time to make 300,000 parts.
  15. It's not in the recall but it could have an issue. It has a sensor to alert the driver when down.
