  1. My dealer just called to let me know that my stub shaft is in. It's already been changed twice, I don't know why they think changing it a third time is going to remedy anything. I clearly told my GM rep that I refuse to let them change it again and she agreed. That was over 2 weeks ago and now she won't return any of my calls. This is my 4th GM truck and it will definitely be my last. This has been nothing but a nightmare.
  2. I'm getting the run around from GM Canada. They were "reviewing" my case for three weeks in which time they'd call every few days to say that they were still "reviewing" it. This apparently included escalating the case to one of their service managers. I got another call today saying that they were done reviewing my case and that I needed to have the stub shaft replaced even though it was already done last year. They also have absolutely no ETA as to when the parts might be available. This has been going on for over a year now. They obviously don't have a fix. It is unbelievable that they're able to get a free pass by saying I need a part but that it's not available.
  3. Had my truck in at the dealer today. They were told to replace the stub shaft again. It was replaced already last year and I just had a complete diff replaced. Of course there are no parts available and they don't have any kind of ETA as to when they might be. I will be calling GM daily until I am offered a buyback. It's been a year with this same noise, I am beyond fed up.
  4. They replaced the differential about 3 weeks ago. Apparently it was the newly engineered version but it appears that's not the case. I still have an open case with GM Canada. I'll be calling them next week and requesting a new truck.
  5. I had my front diff replaced and after about 1000km the noise is back. I am so unbelievably frustrated. I don't know what to do next.
  6. I had the stub shaft replaced in the Fall. Just took it on its first 100km highway trip since the fix and it's making the same noise. Back to the dealership it goes. What are my lemon law options in Canada? This will be the fourth time in for the same issue now.
  7. I've had mine in twice now to two different dealerships for this issue and was told there was nothing wrong even after playing the second dealership (my selling dealer) a clear as day audio recording. They said that they "can't fix it if they can't reproduce the sound". I told them that the truck has to be driven between 50 and 100km before the sound will start but the truck never left the lot. Apparently they are taking it for a long drive tomorrow, I will be resetting the trip when I drop it off to be sure. Very little effort on their part to research the issue, I'm feeling quite frustrated already. I have attached an audio file where you can hear the noise. Voice 003.m4a
  8. The noise in my truck goes way when I put it into auto 4wd. What would this indicate as the problem?
