  1. I have 4500 miles on the truck and no issues whatsoever. I even towed my cargo trailer 550 miles without any issues. Roads were pretty crappy, so it was slow going but the truck got around 15 MPG towing. So far so good - fingers crossed!
  2. After doing a couple of software updates on my phone, it was pretty clear the phone wasn't the issue. I took it to the dealer and they did a "Radio Update" and it looks like that fixed the issue. It's been a couple of weeks and it's connected every time.
  3. I bought my 2026 Silverado 1500 High Country in September and I've had to re-pair my iPhone four or five times since I bought the truck. Apple Car Play will randomly not work on startup and when I check my bluetooth settings, my phone is no longer listed. When I try to pair from the phone, it fails and I have to "Forget" the connection and then re-pair the phone. It just did an OTA update recently and I hoped that would fix the issue, but it's happened again since then. I believe it happens more when I remote start the truck, but not 100% sure. At other times it does work, but can take longer to finally connect. Not a deal breaker for the truck, but frustrating none the less. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
  4. I should mention the truck does have one issue that is completely unrelated to the topic, but is still frustrating. I've had to re-pair my iPhone four or five times since I bought the truck. 5. We have a 2025 Tahoe High Country (6.2) with just over 1,600 miles. So far zero issues.
  6. I just completed my fourth 540-mile trip today and the truck continues to run flawlessly. Just went over 3,100 miles and it still hasn't used any oil. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I'm assuming they won't measure the end play unless the truck starts making noise and/or throws the code?
  7. Has anyone here experienced issues with this? GM has issued a bulletin (25-NA-307) for bellhousing noise and P06DD for 2025 - 2026 3.0 Duramax LZ0's. Too much crankshaft end play from thrust bearing wear could lead to engine failure. I just purchased my 2026 Silverado HC specifically with the LZ0 because I had one in 2023 that had zero issues and loved it. I wanted to avoid the lifter and crankshaft bearing issues the V8's have been experiencing (had a 6.2 with lifter failure) and was hoping for years of trouble-free reliability as this will likely be my last new truck as retirement is getting closer. So far I have just over 2,200 miles with zero issues and don't seem to have used any oil yet. I'm wondering just how wide spread this issue could be. https://www.duramaxnews.com/post/lz0-3-0-duramax-gm-flags-crankshaft-end-play-behind-bellhousing-noise-p06dd-25-na-307
  8. I traded my '23 HC LZ0 about a year and a half ago for a '24 2500HD LTZ Duramax. I had enjoyed the LZ0 so much, I wanted to try out the big diesel - plus I really liked the looks of the new 2500HDs. The truck was a beast! The low-end torque was amazing! It had tons of pulling and passing power and rode very nicely on the highway. It pulled my cargo trailer like a dream (didn't really feel it back there) and I could pass easily while pulling the trailer when necessary. I had hoped the highway mileage would be close to what I was getting with the LZ0, but I was dreaming. The best I had seen was around 18 - 19 with no headwind. And while that wasn't bad and gave me a range of well over 550 miles, it was with a 36 gallon tank. Other down-sides were the truck rode fairly rough/stiff around town, got about 12 mpg doing it, and my wife had a lot of trouble getting in and out of it. Parking it in a crowded parking lot was also a factor. I still loved the truck, but since I only tow a couple of times a year, I felt the truck was not really what I needed and had made a mistake. I decided to go back to a half ton with the LZ0 and I feel that was the right choice. I ordered a short bed (parking ease) High Country with towing mirrors (one of the features I really liked about the 2500HD). I didn't get the Max Towing package because my cargo trailer weighs between 5,000 to 7,000 lbs loaded and I only tow it twice a year. I also wanted the Adaptive Ride Control for added comfort, which you can't get with the Max Tow Package. I received the truck last month ('26 model) and am very happy with it. The truck rides like a dream in town and on the highway, has plenty of power for what I use it for, and I get great mileage doing it. I travel quite a bit for my job as well, so the increased mileage was a big bonus. My first trip out I made it over 540 miles at 27 mpg with 115 miles left on the 24 gallon tank. I plan on retiring in a couple of years, so this truck will stay with me for a long time - I really couldn't see the 2500HD being my daily driver once I wasn't working any more. I highly recommend the LZ0 to anyone considering it.
  9. I ordered this in May. Just picked up this week! 2026 1500 HC LZ0.
  10. I have the multi-flex tailgate and according to the MyChevy website my truck has the recall. I haven't experienced the tailgate opening on it's own yet, but I've only had the truck a couple of months. I decided to nip it in the bud with some black silicone. I'll trim it with a razor blade once it's good and dry.
  11. My app shows both my vehicles in the correct trim and color. My 23 HC has the 3.0 LZ0 but the DEF level always says "unavailable"
  12. I finally got to tow my cargo trailer this week. 7X14 Wells Cargo with household goods weighing approximately 5000 lbs total. Got between 13 and 14 mpg with wind and lots of hills. Overall very happy with how smooth the truck tows - the low-end torque is nice! Used just under 2 boxes of DEF after 700 miles, so not as bad as I thought it would be. First time I ever recived any DEF messages, but never got close to limp mode. Actually used some oil as well - a first for that too. Still love this setup though!
  13. I just read on GM Authority Tahoe and Suburban will get a refresh and have the LZ0 Duramax available. 2025 Chevy Tahoe, Suburban Z71 To Finally Get Diesel Engine (gmauthority.com)
  14. I'm not sure how thick the GMC mat is, but the Westin mat is 3/8" thick, so it's at least as thick as GMC judging from the posted photo above.
  15. I wasn't aware that GM had a rubber mat - I didn't see one on the accessory site at the time. A carpeted mat in the bed doesn't seem very weather proof and would probably get wet even with a cover installed since most of them leak to some degree. Plus I think carpet looks weird in a truck bed. I've done a lot of shopping on Amazon and have bought other accessories for my trucks over the years and have been happy with most of them, so I thought I would give this a try. The mat is 3/8" thick and weighs 50 lbs - it was not that easy (for me) to get it up into the bed and unrolled. It lays nice and flat, fits the bed perfectly and nothing moves around when driving (It is more difficult to move heavy items in and out, so a carpeted mat may work better if you do a lot of that). It's made by Westin in the USA of recycled rubber. I'm probably going to get another one for my current truck even though it has a bedliner.
  16. I used the Westin Rubber truck mat (from Amazon) in my last truck which didn't have a bed liner. It worked great and fit like a glove. It went with the truck when I traded, but I wish I would have kept it and put it in my current truck even though it has a bedliner. It really kept things from sliding/moving around in the bed and the extra weight was nice in the wintertime. I'll probably get another one soon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L54PHVD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
  17. I agree 100%. I picked up my '23 High County in June and have almost 10,000 miles on it already. Fuel mileage is great and DEF usage is negligible. I did my first oil change around 7,000 miles and am about halfway to the next. It's amazing how quiet the engine is when idling or cruising at speed. I'm enjoying the low-end torques as well. I've also been enjoying the new interior - the infotainment screen is great, but I'm not a huge fan of the Google OS or the navigation. My '21 LTZ had the GM navigation, which I felt was better. I can say that I am a big fan of the multi-flex tailgate. Overall the truck is fantastic.
  18. That's amazing DEF mileage! I thought 2500 miles/tank was good. Looks like my fuel mileage is pretty similar depending on driving and weather conditions.
  19. It's roughly 670 miles from Cheyenne to Great Falls. There are many stations along the way with DEF pumps, but I'll definitley have a box on board just in case.
  20. Update: I have almost 10,000 miles on the truck now and am still very happy with it. I'm getting anywhere from 28 to 32 MPG around town depending on stop and go conditions. Still getting 28 MPG on average on the highway, but wind is always a factor in Montana/Wyoming (I believe cold temps also affect mileage as well). DEF usage is quite mild around town - I went roughly 500 miles over a month around town before the DEF guage dropped a notch. Getting around 2,500 miles per DEF tank roughly on the highway. Still haven't towed yet, but that time is approaching when I move in December and pull my 7x14 cargo trailer with household goods (roughly 5,000 lbs). It will be interesting to see the actual mileage and DEF usage then. I'll keep eveyone posted. Truck rides like a dream and the diesel engine has good throttle response unless you're trying to drag race - low end torque is quite refreshing. The only issues I've had with the truck itself is a failed OTA update I had to get the code reset on and now I have a collision avoidance light on the cluster. I parked the other day and got close enough to the vehicle in front of me to make the park assist vibrate and then the light came on. I have an appointment after Thanksgiving to get it checked - I imagine they'll just have to reset that code as well (hopefully). Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
  21. I believe if you have the rain sensing wipers enabled in your settings, you can adjust the sensitivity with the intermittent setting. I.E. if you just have it turned on to the first mark, the wipers will only sweep when there's lots of water on the windshield. The higher you place the intermittent setting, the less water it takes to activate the wipers. If you have it set to the highest intermittent mark, it will sweep anytime there's just a little rain on the windshield. It doesn't work perfectly IMO though - I'm always messing with it because it won't sweep as often as I want, so I just leave them disabled and run them the old-fashioned way.
  22. My 2021 LTZ with the 6.2 (DFM) recently experienced the dreaded lifter failure at around 14,500 miles. I work out of state 2 out of 3 years, so I had to go to the local dealer in Wyoming. They did a good job getting to the truck within a week or so, but they only replaced one bank of lifters so I decided to cut my losses and trade. My dealer back home in Montana had a 2023 HC with the LZ0 (I had been reading a lot of good reviews about its predessesor the LM2) so I decided to give it a shot. So far I am very pleased with the truck and quite impressed with the diesel engine. Once I got used to the throttle response, I found the engine has plenty of power for me and the torque is impressive. I've made a couple of trips between Montana and Wyoming averaging 28 mpg while driving between 75 and 85. My best mileage was 31 mpg taking a trip to the golf course in Nebraska (60 miles). Around town gets me between 24 and 29 depending on stop and go conditions. I haven't pulled my cargo trailer yet, but I imagine from what I've read here, it will do very well. I have about 4,500 miles on the truck now and have only had to put DEF in twice (was only down half-way each time). I've tried to figure out when it's doing a regen, but only once or twice I thought it may be because of the smell. This is my first diesel and I was a little nervous about it, but it has been pretty effortless. Not having to worry about lifter failure is a big bonus, plus I really like the refresh interior.
  23. My beloved 2021 LTZ 6.2 experienced the dreaded lifter failure and had to be replaced. Although I paid sticker, the dealer gave me a great offer on my trade and is even going 700 miles to get it back to the dealership. I've been wanting a High Country for a long time and am giving the 3.0 Duramax a try - I've read many good reviews.
  24. Here's my '21 LTZ with standard bed. I've always had a short bed, so this is the first standard bed crew cab I've owned. Sometimes I miss the short bed when trying to park in a tight parking lot, but I love the way this rides on the highway and when towing. The best way I can describe it is the short bed handles more like a car and the standard bed feels more like a truck. The 6.2 feels pretty nice too.
  25. We finally received the letter that our work truck's VIN was eligible for the retrofit for heated/cooled seats. Since we bought the truck in Utah, we thought we would have to go there for the work, but it did turn out that wasn't the case. The local dealer here in North Dakota ordered the parts and we're scheduled for next week. We bought the truck in January, so it took 11 months to finally receive (pending) the retrofit.
