  3. Has everyone with these issues installed OnStar? Never trusted any of the apps in the first place and after reading the terms and conditions I decided against installing them. Granted, I don't get to use all of the services my truck has to offer but Remote start works just fine from the key fob and I have not had any issues with the brake system or steering. 6. Thank you. I just want to level the front without forfeiting ride quality or warranty. I contacted Chevrolet a while back to see if installing the front only would hold the same warranty as the full kit, but they didn't have an answer. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  7. OK that makes much more sense [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122] Thank you for the reply Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

  9. You have the 2" stock suspension lift then added 4" body lift? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  10. To lift just the front, do you need to purchase the front compatibility brackets and front jounce bumpers that come with the kit? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  11. Hey JSW, I'm not sure if it matters since you're not buying the whole kit but I believe the current Part No. for 4WD Silverado (minus exclusions) is 84768243. I have been watching these kits for a while on Chevys Accessory website and Part No. 84629787 was replaced by 84649981 which was then replaced by 84768243. I have seen many sites selling the old part numbers. Not sure if GM found a problem with the old ones and maybe adjusted the parts included? Anyway, thought I'd just throw that in here in case it made a difference. Let us know how the front only install turns out [emoji106] https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/lift-suspension-upgrade-system-for-4wd-vehicles-84768243?year=2019&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500&modelId=491&body=Crew Cab Pickup&bodyId=22&wheel=Short Box&wheelId=651&trim=RST&trimId=4962&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=5.3L V8 GAS&engineId=2059&bodyNumDoors=5&categoryId=98004 Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for the ReTrax tip. I'm glad the toolbox solution works out for you as that helps with the tailgate issue. Living in the Pacific Northwest and hauling more than just tools leaves about 2-3 months of the year of bed usage without a tonneau cover unless I want everything to get soaked or easily stolen. A toolbox also takes up considerable bedspace when loading quads and other toys so an SUV style vehicle with optional bed works for me [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  13. To each their own on the tonneau cover but I'm a hard top girl myself. This particular tonneau cover was already recalled by GM once for safety issues (flying off while driving) but all they did was change the hardware, attach it way too snug in the middle of the bed and didn't adjust it properly. I purchased weather stripping to attach to the back to keep out the rain and realign the cover again myself as the dealers don't seem to care how they function after install. I will be replacing the cover completely with a Bakflip or retractable tonneau in the future but in the meantime I'll work with what I've got. As for shifting into drive and passing reverse... If you read the whole comment you responded to I mentioned the tailgate clicks and looks closed but later opens when driving. This would indicate the reverse camera shows the tailgate in the closed position when shifting into reverse [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  14. [emoji3516]Right!? THANK YOU! The tailgate is light. Give me a manual latch and the ability to seal my tonneau cover. I'm good. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  15. One of the first questions to my dealership was how do I open the tailgate if/when the electronics fail or when the battery dies. The head of maintenance looked at me like he had never heard that question before and didn't know how to answer. I asked him if there was not a way to open it manually if I could replace the push button with a manual patch like earlier models... "Ummm, no I don't think so". The manual states "In the case of a dead battery, the tailgate can be opened manually. Contact your dealer or roadside assistance." Clearly not helpful when the dealer has no clue how to open with a dead battery. I'm also assuming that you would have to get to the inside of the tailgate to remove the cover for manual entry like I had to do with our Tundra at work. This would be extremely difficult with a tonneau cover which is why I keep my jumper cables in the cab. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
