  1. Wanted to hopefully help out others that have experienced this issue. Over the past 2 months we have noticed an extremely annoying drone under load in our 2021 Acadia Denali 3.6L. It went away when it was in park, but was really noticeable under load at lower RPM's while accelerating. After having my wife leave it in drive and crawling underneath, I could hear something rattling in the main muffler (right behind the cat's). I was quoted between $2000-2500 to have the entire exhaust system replaced, since it's one welded assembly from cat-back. Being out of our 60k powertrain warranty I thought we were at a lose. Brought it into a reputable local shop and they searched for hours to find a OEM style muffler that would fit to no avail. I have a good relationship with our service team at my local GM dealership, and they were able to cover replacing the exhaust system under the 80k emissions warranty considering the catalytic converters were part of the system. Big win!! For those out of the 80k warranty, I found a thread on FB that someone ended up finding an aftermarket muffler that fit, which was brought into Pro Muffler + Performance (14022 US-2, Airway Heights, WA 99001). Prior to my GM dealership agreeing to cover it, I went down this rabbit hole and they contacted me with their supplier who had a muffler that fit. Unfortunately I didn't write down the PN when I called as I already had an appt with the dealer setup. However, it seems there is a low cost option for an OEM style muffler out there.   3. For sale: Brand New - GMC Sierra Diode Dynamics SS3 Stage Series Pro Fogs in Amber (14-15 1500s, 15-18 2500s) Won these through a The Retrofit Source store credit giveaway back in April. I was going to swap my current White Pro’s with these but plans have changed. Way past the return window and forgot about them until I cleaned out my garage. Only been opened for pictures, never installed or plugged in. (took pictures of the factory box seals before opening) These do not have the backlight feature. $320 shipped in original box and packaging. These msrp for $380 on DD’s website. By far the best performing fog lights on the market!
  4. I have a brand new set of Diode Dynamics Pro SS3's in fog/SAE beam pattern for sale. These were factory sealed (I can provide pictures before I opened them for proof), everything is still in the original packaging. Paid $380, asking $350 shipped.

  6. I don't have any pictures during the install, unfortunately. I used a piece of 1/8"(I think? maybe 3/16?) steel that was 2-3" wide and roughly 36" long. Mounted the steel plate directly to the radiator support pieces behind the grille. Then mounted the light bar brackets to the steel plate. Fairly easy if you don't have active shutters, just had to use vice grips/clamps to mock things up before drilling/mounting both the plate and light bar mounts. This way I made sure it was spaced where I wanted it between the grille pieces. I have a cheap light bar I snagged from Amazon prime day, it's a Rigidhorse 32" single row. Don't recommend it, scatters light everywhere.. it's really only beneficial through the woods at night going slow. On dark backroads with no traffic my SS3 pro fogs outperform it. I've been eyeing up the Diode Dynamics 30" stage series bar but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm a firm believer in Diode's quality and performance, and when it comes to lighting you really do get what you pay for.
  7. Been a minute since I've done anything to my truck other than an regular maintenance. FINALLY, after 2 years of searching locally, found a OEM All Terrain grille. The cost (only $120) was justified by the condition.. lots of deep scratches down past the paint, which took me several hours to correct. Learned a lot during the process but happy with the outcome, even after dropping it and cracking the freshly refinished bezel . Luckily the crack is on the bottom and tough to see. Then had to move the light bar mount so that took awhile to fabricate.
  8. My GMC remote services were shut off as of yesterday. I use the app remote start/lock/unlock almost daily and this is a huge disappointment to lose the service. I'm hoping someone can come up with a solution to implement the required hardware/programming.   9. 100% yes. I could feel an immediate difference in not feeling every crack in the road, and probably the best example is going over train tracks or rough surfaces. The back end doesn't seem to shift around as much anymore. Don't expect it to ride like a Cadillac however it was worth the investment IMO. Even after the upgrade, it still doesn't ride as nice as a newer gen GM. After getting use to them I'd probably spend the coin on king adjustable coilovers or Fox 2.0's. May be comparable to a 19-22 possibly?
  10. I have Bilstein 5100's with the front struts maxed out (highest clip position), paired with 275/60/20 (33") Falken Wildpeak AT3W's. Only a slight rub at full lock but that's due to my +0 offset on the pro comp wheels. The ride is much better compared to the stock Rancho struts/shocks and the RC 2" leveling blocks which I had before. It's perfectly leveled but if I were to do it again, I'd lower the front 1 or 2 clip positions so when the bed is loaded it doesn't squat as much.

  12. Sunday afternoon consisted of an oil change, tire rotation, and dropped the trans pan to change fluid/filter. Picture is before I spilt the entire clear bin of ATF on my floor.... only to realize I was out of floor dry...
  13. I did not separate the control arm, taking the lower shock bolts and sway bar end link out gave enough clearance
  14. Had my passenger side rip late last year. Easiest and quickest option IMO... replace it. Took me about an hour, worst part is getting the dang thing out! Ended up having to remove the bottom 2 strut bolts, and sway bar end link which gives you some additional room with the lower control arm dropped.
  15. Finally got a chance to test out my new electric pressure washer and foam cannon. Was too into the wash I forgot to take a picture of it all foamed up. Clayed/waxed after the hard winter neglect, full interior detail as well. Much needed! Next week going to drop the trans pan and change filter/oil. 48k since the last time it's been changed and shifts are starting to firm up more than I'd like. Hoping to get as much life out of this 6 speed before I start getting the itch for a new AT4...
  16. Finally had our first 60 degree day, after a long ass ND winter. She's been neglected for the past 2 months and after turkey hunting last weekend, the first hand wash of the year was much needed! Running boards are next on the list..
  17. You're giving me the horrible idea of putting a Diode SS3 pod in the receiver hitch to give a little payback to the person behind me that put HID's in their halogen reflector housings..... Too petty?

  20. Man I'm really itching to get those steps. Been on my "wants" mod list forever! Looks awesome Drove to the cabin with the wife this past weekend and explored some back roads after some fresh snow. Donuts and sliding around corners may have occurred from time to time..
  21. Haven't done much other than an oil change and tire rotation lately. Sitting at 40k on the trans fluid and filter, got everything on order to try and save this TC as long as I can. Finally got my vinyl plotter setup and materials are slowly starting to trickle in. Had my first customer purchase GMC/Denali decals for his custom headlight retrofit company. They will be going on the corners for his 14-15 builds. If anyone needs anything custom, let me know!
  22. For once I was happy to have the pre face lift Sierra solely for that reason haha. Diode makes some of the best quality lighting products I've seen, plus their customer support it top notch. I installed their switchback DRL boards when I did my headlight retrofit and have no complaints. They are extremely bright, sometimes I think they're on the verge of being too bright lol.
