  1. St3ph, I ended up going to the Chevy dealership for a full tear down on my vehicle. We ended up discovering the culprit was aftermarket brakes that my local non-chevy shop had put on. I went back to the shop and they replaced them with official OEM parts. I haven't had an issue since. It's only OEM parts for me from here on out. I hope you get your issue reoslved!
  2. I have a 2020 Trailboss with ~54k miles on it that I just put new brakes on last week. The truck is running Mickey Thompsons with ~6k miles on it that are the exact same size as the OEM tires. After a few days of driving with the new brakes, I now have a rubbing noise that you can hear in the following videos: Rubbing noise Chevy Silverado 2020 (youtube.com) Rubbing noise 2020 Chevy Silverado when doing a slight left to right wheel turn at 15-20mph (youtube.com) The noise only occurs when turning slightly right after turning left. Think of coming out of a round about. Note that the suspension spring on the driver's side rear wheel is not aligned. It appears to have come that way from Chevy as this truck has only seen pavement and has not been in an accident. Any ideas as to what would be causing this now?
  3. I've had them now for 2 months and everything is great. Smooth, quiet ride. It literally feels like a new truck. If you're in the market for a new set, I'd recommend giving these a good hard look.
  4. i pulled the trigger on the Baja Boss A/Ts since my local AAA shop matched the ebay/discount tire 20% that's currently running. i get them put on early next week. looking forward to the 'quieter' ride.
  5. update here. i checked out the heat/dust shields on the brakes and sure enough that was it. i adjusted the shields and the noise went away on both sides. thanks for the help!
  6. i'm in the market to get new tires for my 2020 LT TB since my original tires are making a TON OF NOISE. i'm looking at the mickey thompsons. are these tires quieter than the wranglers? i want an aggressive look with less road noise than the oem tires. thanks.
  7. Update: I checked all of my heat shields and none were loose. That said, I took my truck in to my buddy’s shop to get it checked out. They couldn’t find anything with any of the heat shields and the brakes checked out fine. What they believe it is, is uneven wear on the tires despite routine tire rotation at every oil chance (7500). So my plan is to tackle new tires in the fall to get me past the 50k mileage mark. Only reason I’m not changing them yet is due to me trying to hold off on stretching a dollar until the fall. thanks for all the input. I’ll update once i get thee new tires.
  8. Brakes are still solid. No issues there and the ‘brake gauge’ says front are at 50% and rears are at 70%
  9. I’ve recently been experiencing what I’d call metal grinding noise on my 2020 Silverado TB. It only occurs when I’m going about 10mph and can either be coasting or stepping on the break and going straight and/turning. The noise is appears to be coming from the front. I’ve uploaded a video here to YouTube and included in the post. it’s more an audio file but than video the first noise occurs when I’m coasting at 10 mph and the second noise at about 2 seconds in is when I’m turning the wheel I just turned over 45k this past weekend. Has anyone had this same issue or know what is causing it? Or if it may be something covered under warranty? thanks! IMG_3646.mov
  10. I'm looking to sell my Range Technology DFM/AFM Disabler Blue. Before I put it on eBay, anyone interested in it for $150? Works flawlessly.
  11. What did you end up doing with this plug? i popped my plug out and am waiting to put it back to see if anyone has done a mod to this part of the truck
  12. i attached a cord holder to the exterior of the blank plug with some gorilla glue. since i'm transitioning to wireless android auto, i removed the cord holder and then was working the gorilla glue excess off with some nail polish remover when apparently i pushed to hard on the plug and it popped off inside the housing. i'm a bit shocked that the plug popped inside relatively easily but then again maybe it's not as shocking
  13. Alright, so I accidentally popped out my cap/plug for where the integrated trailer brake controller would be if i had that equipped on my 2020 LT Trail Boss. It's just a faceplate plug with no functionality. While i have the plug popped out and i have the cable accessible, has anyone done any mods to this part of the truck? i'm looking for ideas here before i decide to buy a new faceplate plug and put it back in.
  14. i went with this bad boy and haven't had any reception issues https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RXRNTW8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  15. Looks slick! This what I love about this forum. Until I saw this post, I didn't know I needed the bed rail lettering! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
