  1. I talked with NJ Department of Consumer Affairs Lemon Law Division. They were very helpful. I then sent my certified mail letter to GM. They did open up a case and the truck is currently at the dealership for the final repair attempt (FRA) Maybe they will fix it on the 4th attempt or I will file the lemon law application.
  2. I notice something similar when I lay into the gas pedal and let off. As the rpms drop as I decelerate I hear a light ticking noise almost like noisy lifters. I just assume it's the injectors.
  3. Well as I have posted under other topics my 2020 3500HD Denali suffers from the rear window leak. Truck was built in June of 2020 and I took delivery in July. At 300 miles I noticed the leak. Dealerahip repaired per the bulliten and it still leaked Dealership put in entire new window and still leaked. Dealership tried to seal the top of new window and just today it leaked while washing it with a gentle flow from hose. This is 3 failed attempts. I plan to send certified letter to GM to state my intentions to get a buy back under lemon law. I plan to order same truck from my dealership with a standard rear window. Does anyone know where to address the letter to initiate the lemon law process? I believe they are allowed 10 days from receiving the letter to make a repair before I can start the lemon law procedure. Thanks in advance and I welcome any other advice in the lemon law process. I live in NJ incase that makes any difference.
  4. It's my understanding that Costco pricing and Educator pricing both get you around invoice. I dont think they stack. But I also think sometimes you get costco money besides the discount when you purchase. I had a family member get this when costco had this deal last December.
  5. I used my wife's educator discount on my 2020 3500HD. Remember you can also negotiate below that. Dealer gets a small kickback from GM when they give the educator discount and there is a 3% hold back on the msrp that they get back from GM.
  6. I have just under 3,000 miles on my 2020 3500HD with the Duramax. I have a 22 mile commute to work which is mostly back roads and a few traffic lights. My average mileage to and from work is 18-20mpg. My mileage starting at the day I picked up the truck according to my trip odometer is 17.1mpg. My hand calculated mileage is usually about 1mpg less than the dash says. Very impressed with mileage. Keep in mind that my short term mileage will drop drastically when it's in regen.
  7. I ordered the plow prep on 3500hd. It came with a wire harness that the dealer installed. It's my understanding that this plugs into the alternator and power lead from plow harness. I think it prevents the display screens and other controls from crashing from the heavy voltage variations when operating the plow. I would look into getting this harness. You can look it up on the GM upfitters page.
  8. I started a similar thread in the 2020HD forum before I realized how common of a problem is. This is my latest. So today was the day my truck went in to get the second replacement window installed. They informed me they found a gap in the top bead of sealant that was from the last install. Rather than replace the window as planned to correct the flaw they dropped the headliner and pulled the spoiler. They put a thick bead of sealant along the top just like they did in the first repair attempt. Best part is they ran it though their car wash to leak test it and they crushed my passenger side mirror. Truck now needs whole new mirror.

  10. I have always suspected something like that. I even told the dealer that since I purchased the truck I hear clicks, clunks, and thuds coming from the top rear of the cab. It happens when the truck sits hot in the sun all day and starts the noises on my ride home as the cabin cools down. Sounds like something expanding and contracting as the inside temp changes. Even my kids in the back are like what's that sound.
  11. I have 2020 GMC 3500hd Denali Ultimate with the Duramax. At 300 miles I noticed a small stream of water coming down the rear window on the drivers side. The dealership removed the spoiler and observed the hairline cracking in plastic. They applied the seam sealer per the bulletin. A week or so later in a heavy rain the drip was still there in the same spot. The dealer than installed a new window. This new window now leaks on the passenger side worse than before. They state this window also has hairline cracks in the plastic and they need to order another new one. I am not too optimistic as my truck was built in June of this year and the replacement window was just installed. Sounds like the same flawed design will be installed another time. Really disappointed in GM and the quality in a 80k truck.
  12. Dealership says the new replacement window is cracked and leaking same as orginal one. They are ordering a second new window. Total bs quality.
  13. Got the truck back with new window installed. Leaks worse than ever and now from the passenger side. Goes back to dealership Monday. This is the last repair attempt before I ask them to buy me out or lemon law it.
  14. Mine goes in tomorrow for a new rear window. Took the dealer a few weeks to get it. Let's see what happens.
  15. I dont hear a single noise in the mornings on the way to work but every day on the ride home I do especially if it's been baking in the sun. Even my little kids in the back get startled and say "what was that noise". For the first 10 min ride on my way home it might make a dozen clicks, clunks, pops or other various sounds. A lot of the time it seems to be coming from the rear roof, rear window or rear seat. I am actually getting my whole rear window replaced due to it leaking, however I doubt the sounds are tied to the window leak issue. I'm not that concerned but never had I owned a vehicle that made these sounds.
  16. Has anyone else experienced this. When my truck sits in the sun all day and as I am driving home from work I hear randon clunks, clicks, thuds from the back seat area. Maybe rear window or seat or seems to also come from up high. Not sure how to totally describe it. It seems to happen when the truck is hot and the air conditioning is cooling down the cab. Maybe it's a material expanding and contracting as the cab cools down. It's not the end of the world but its annoying.
  17. Didn't notice any leaks in the past few rains but it poured today and it leaked in the same spot. Dealer is now ordering a new rear window.
  18. Everything fixed and broken clip is ordered. I will know shortly after I wash it if the leak is resolved.
  19. Got the truck back from dealer. There is a bulletin for the repair. Essentially they pull down the back part of the headliner and remove the rear spoiler. They then apply seam sealer to the top of the window seal where the water is getting in. I believe the issue is the plastic frame that the sliding window is in may have hairline cracks allowing water in between that and the window seal. Seems like a crappy fix but let's see if it holds. Worst part is they got some of the sealer on the spoiler. I asked them to clean it and they scuffed up the clearcoat in the process. They then had to buff it out. They also broke a clip in the headliner. I hate that a truck with 300 miles has to be torn apart for bullshit quality from GM.
  20. Well I have had my truck for just over one week and just noticed a small wet spot on the top of the rear window on the drivers side. It's where the top plastic slider frame ends. If I look closely I can see a few verticle streaks in the glass from where it must have leaked previously. Under 300 miles and its going back to the dealer tomorrow.
  21. Last three are 073. Don't think I will get any sleep tonight. Like a kid on Christmas.
  22. Well I did the online chat again this morning and they didnt have any updates and no ETA. I happened to drive by my dealership on way home from work and there was my truck! It was just unloaded and I will pick it up tomorrow. TPW 3/16 "the week they shutdown for 2 months" Built 6/5 Arrived at dealership 7/13
  23. You are very lucky. I too had the original TPW of 3/16 with a build date of 6/5. My truck has been sitting in Twin Oaks, PA for almost 2 weeks. No ETA yet. So close.
  24. Just found out I am now at event code 4800. Truck unloaded at railyard and awaiting truck transport to dealer.
  25. Just did the online chat and was told the following. Looks like it will arrive in NJ next week. The vehicle was last seen in Walbridge, OH and the estimated time of arrival in Twin Oaks, PA is on June 27th, 2020.
