1. Motofab makes a 1” lower strut spacer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

3. No retailers will ship it to California so just find a friend family in another state and ship it to them then have them ship it to you. I’ve done it before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. Yeah I totally agree with the prices on the Toyotas. I’m fortunate enough to to have a family member that’s the GM of a dealership and I get pretty decent deals. That’s why I bought the Tacoma since I trust the reliability with it off-roading and I knew at the time I was going to invest in building the suspension. Literally a brand new limited Tundra with all the bells and whistles for 5K less out the door than what I paid for my LT TB that doesn’t have that many upgrades. But it was just way to outdated so I passed on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. If there’s cutouts behind that I would imagine that it helps block airflow and push to the driver’s side where the forced air is pushed to the intake, so taking it off may negatively affect it and the cutouts are just going into the hood and not intake anyways. 6. Yeah that’s why they hold their value. I’ve had 5 Toyota SUV/Trucks in the past and loved them all. But to your point they are outdated. If they had a newer version of the Tundra with the same tech options as the Silverado I would’ve bought that instead but they are a few years away and I needed a full sized truck now. 7. Yeah I wanted the solid window since all my last trucks I’ve had I’ve never once opened the rear slider. So I got lucky and found one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. FYI I just came from a 2016 Tacoma and it had a leaky rear too. If you google it you will see it. I had to repair it on my own since it was out of warranty. Every company will have some issues when it’s in the 1st and 2nd year of the newer generation. I’m sure if you wait until next year they’ll have it figured out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. What about one with a solid rear window since it seems like there’s no issues Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. I debadged all my vehicles in the past for a clean look but for some reason when I added the CHEVROLET tailgate filler it looked too bare so I added the black badges. Personally I like it better and bare white just reminded me too much of a work truck. Just got my black exhaust tips with black powder coat so that will go on next. Then swap my Trail Boss decal with a custom one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. It does look nice but I prefer the newer cutout design vs older styles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. Depending if you plan to offroad on certain type of trails but I’ll be getting the AMP steps that pop out when the doors open. I like the clean tucked in look and step functionality when needed. And don’t plan to off-road hard on it where I need real sliders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. Now I feel like I should’ve just done this lol. How clean is it where the red part touches? Was it meticulous to take it off or normal process as any other plastidip job? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
14. That is a steal. Mine was 52k sticker for a 5.3 and got it down to 42k and change. I would’ve definitely gone the 6.3 route for that price and I’m sure you got a lot more upgrades than I did. But at the time it was a gamble to see where this would go and I’m still happy with the truck either way. Coming from a V6 so any V8 will do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
15. Oh wow that’s a lot of work too! Yeah after I was done with sanding and taping it was already 2 hours and I was surprised. The time it takes to make it custom lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
16. Thanks!!!! I guess the sanding is about right, just doesn’t scuff it up as much as I thought it would. I’ll give the alcohol a try. For the paint, I’ll probably use Rustoleum plastic automotive paint since it says it adheres to plastic easier and is a primer/paint combo. The only thing I’ll do different is not taking it apart since I just bought new ones that have the exact adhesive cutout already. I just tucked the tape under the chrome parts carefully which took forever!!! Thanks again for the insight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
17. How much sanding was done? Just started my process and using super fine sandpaper and it’s barely scuffing the chrome. Also what paint did you use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
18. This is awesome!! Thanks for sharing!!! Now to decide on matte or gloss black on my gloss black bumper [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19. I really think it all depends on where you live and demand. If the dealer knows they can profit a little more and there’s a demand for the specific truck, they won’t really budge a lot. I was set on a Trail Boss. They didn’t want to move on the price as much but tried to get me in a standard LT and were willing to cut a larger discount. Have family that works in sales management for the auto industry just not Chevy and they said that usually it all depends on demand for the car and how the sales are performing. If they are willing to loose some profits for just a unit sale they’ll let it go cheap but if they feel they can get someone else to buy it for a higher price tag, they won’t give in. That’s why I felt good with the price they gave me on the Trail Boss plus I called for a second opinion from my family. Noticed when I started to research them in my area that inventory on these didn’t even last a week in February. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. So they’re only giving you 1k more than the rebate? Yeah I would wait if that’s the case. They went slightly under invoice for me. So 3k off then 6k rebate. They tried giving me 1k off in the beginning and I laughed and showed them there were plenty online deals that were a state away that gave 3k off plus rebate and I’ll be willing to drive. Their response was online deals were fake and false advertising. So I left the dealer and told them I’ll find out for myself. Literally 3 hours later they called me and said they’ll do it if I come back. My suggestion, find an online deal and use that as bargaining power. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21. Buy one with a solid window [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
22. I tried reading this whole thread and people have mentioned they heard of those with the solid window leaking too but not one owner has stated theirs leaked. Can anyone confirm this? Just hate dealing with this and keep checking every time I wash it or it rains. It happened on my Tacoma and I had to replace the third brake light to fix it so I’ve been there before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
23. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it gets fixed. Was it a slider window or full? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
24. Does anyone have a close pic of the gloss black tips with the black bumper? Wanted see how it looks or if I need more contrast. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
25. Just like Dunn said, Filthy Motorsports has great info and they can order special colors for you. Accutune Offroad are knowledgeable too and has great videos on valving. Personally I like the blue bling but if you want more subtle color specifically the coils, powder coat is the best route but can chip/flake. Good thing is all King coils are from Eibach so you can just tell whoever you order from to get the standard silver Eibach spring with the same length/spring rate and the quality will hold better since it’s from the manufacturer vs small shop powder coating it. I recommend not going too high on the spring rate, it’ll get stiff so get whatever is recommended from King at the lowest rate. My guess is 600lbs unless you plan to add a lot of weight up front (i.e. steel bumper, winch, etc). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
