  1. Hello, My personal 2020 2500HD Duramax always runs at 210 but my emergency vehicle, even after climbing steep mountains fluctuates between about 170 and 180. I can hear the fan come on at about 180 and it cools back down. I am thinking it is the thermostat sticking open, but why would the fan come on at such a low temp? It does not matter if the truck is sitting at high idle or pulling the hills. The truck is always loaded and weighs 10,400 curb weight so it should be getting to operating temp. Taking it to the shop for the HUD not working on Tuesday and I'll ask them about it also. Any ideas?
  2. Do you happen to have the calibration examples for these Codes: This is a list of some of the calibrations that are available: 6N5, BCV, BCN, 9G8, UTQ, 6J7, 5J1, 5J3, 7Y6, UTJ, SK0 (out of park), SK3, SK4, SK5, Engine time out disable (some models) (SK4) DRL disable and others not listed here? The codes are listed in TSB 180b
  3. Hello all, First wanted to thank everyone for the many posts that have helped me over the years, but I can't find an answer to this one. I have even spoken to the Upfitter line and they gave some suggestions that have not helped. I am looking for a circuit or power source that is active during ACC, RUN and Remote Start. I have a 2020 Silverado 2500HD that is an emergency vehicle outfitted with a Whelen CORE light-siren system and a Kenwood TK5110 radio. I need to have the ignition sense powered, (3 AMPS) so the equipment goes into "Sleep" when not active. I have a source now that works when the truck is running, but I want it to power up the equipment when remote started also so the perimeter lights come on while I am headed to it in the dark. The lighting is all programmed to function but the ignition sense needs power to wake it up. Any ideas where I can tap power for the remote start also? As you can see, everything is battery wired and relayed with a timer and solenoid fused at the battery and each device connection. I just need the proper trip to initiate the timer/solenoid.
  4. How do you think hydrodipping would work for the chrome? This truck is driving me nuts in the sunshine. Every piece of trim in the truck is shining with the sunroof open and blinds me shining up under my sunglasses.
  5. I had my 2020 2500HD HC in for oil change and the next morning after remote start, the infotainment would not come on. The infotainment used to come on when on ACC or engine start from the ignition, but would not any more. I called the dealership and two "Master Technicians" stated this is how it is supposed to work. According to them, you have to shut the truck off and start it from the ignition to get the infotainment system to come on. So, after being tongue-lashed by the dealership, I decided to reset the truck by pulling the negative terminals and low and behold, the infotainment comes on without turning off the truck now. "Master Mechanics" can't know everything, but this back-yard shade-tree mechanic go to move on all electronic issues is pull the battery. I hope the rumored upcoming update fixes these glitches for good.
  6. Just confirming that this is a green with blue chaser wire for B+ and black for B-? I looked at the AUX connection and found the Gr/Bu wire on the corner of the connector. I would assume this is the line side of the wire and if you didn't want to drill the holes, you may be able to cut and splice this wire to use as another point to connect to switch 5? When I install my switches, I'll check power at the connector before I cut and splice into it for sure.
  7. Here is the list of complete kits. Be sure to pick one that matches your interior trim and keyed or push button ignition.
