  1. Hi. I know this is an older topic but I wanted to share what I did...so far. I have been having trouble finding lights that fit also. Even tried some stainless sink hole plugs. They fell out first trip to the store. I found these on amazon: https://a.co/d/4PXUxdg They are silicon plugs and fit perfectly! They also survived a 300 mile round trip the the shore over New Years in the rain and sleet. The back side is hollow and I plan on mounting some 3/4" leds I found in them. The most common size I found is 3/4". I have two possible ways I can mount LEDs. Either use the style with a screw backing and use a flat washer on the inside for support and solid mounting or, use the "pop" or "snap" in style and use some silicon to hold it to the plug once the holes are made. I have both styles currently from my trial and error. Either way should work fine. I will make a custom harness with the plastic wire shielding so it looks factory. Older post but I wanted to share my findings since I cant find a post anywhere that shows a finished product with LEDs.
