I love my Magna-Ride shocks. I have had 3 K2 trucks before this and the Rancho shocks on them were ok, but nothing compared to these on my Denali. Even my 2019 High Country shocks didn't compare to these Denali ones.

I did a can-tune/handheld tune from Hypertech called the Spectrum. It does everything EXCEPT tune the transmission. It does allow you to mess with the TQ converter, but I really don't notice a difference on the tranny. The K2 transmissions are LAZY in down shifting. But I did notice a nice improvement on HP/TQ. The truck is quicker off the line and accelerates quickly for just a Corsa Catback exhaust on it. I got it on sale at Realtrucks.com during a weekend special for $200 and change. Basically same price as a Range. It also allowed me to adjust the speedometer to 130 mph and adjust it for my 22 inch tires. I have noticed ever since Covid, HP Tuners has "raised" their prices considerably since I had my last brand new 2018 SLT 6.2L when I called them back then. Hypertech was very good over the phone with any questions, and updated my Denali through email very quickly onto the tuner when I got it. Good Luck with your decision

I frankly don't really notice the difference with the TQ Management. That's why I really want a "professional tuner" to really dive into the programming of the transmission. The 8 speeds are very lazy shifting, and down shifts take forever, or don't kick down into the lowest gear needed when passing. My guess is that GM did this to the transmission to get the most MPGs out of the vehicle as possible?.?.

Good luck with your purchase. I bought the Hypertech Spectrum can-tune and I like it. Turned off the AFM, adjusted speedo for 22 inch wheels, turned on 91 octane tune, and messed with TQ converter management. Since I have the 8 speed I could not mess with the shift points or retune tranny. For $200+ change I paid for it over a year ago, I am very pleased with what it does. I do wish I could get my transmission reprogrammed. Not many RELIABLE tuners here in Iowa that I have found.

Interesting. When I bought my 2018 Denali last June, I added an extended warranty on it. Bumper to bumper 5 years or 100k. Covers everything! Why doesn't yours do that? Either way I would change the fluid ASAP. Will make a difference for you. Good luck.

That to me is CRAP!!!!! This is a known issue that these 8 speeds have. GM and the dealerships should ALL come together and cover this for LOYAL customers. No-one should have to pay for this. That to me is just sh@tty customer service, and this is coming from a man whose father was a mechanic for 40 years!!!!!!!!!!!! So I have seen first hand the in and outs of loyalty, quality, and customer care

One of the MAIN reasons I bought my certified 2018 Denali with then 37k miles on it was because on the Carfax it stated it had the TQ converter replaced and fluid change. If your truck is under warranty and the warranty department will cover a whole new transmission. Why not get it done and done the right way?? We all know these 8 speeds in the K2 models had their issues. Back in 2018 when I bought my SLT, the ONLY reason I got rid of it was because of the 8 speed shudder and clunking! My dealership wasn't working with me, and already did the transmission flush, so I was just over 36k miles, so I traded it in for a 2019 High Country. Grew to not like the truck except for the 10 transmission. Glad I sold it during pandemic and made money, then found this lightly used 18 Denali. I love this body style and the truck You have a gorgeous truck, I love that color/combo package. I had a chance to get one of these Centennial Editions last year in March 2023 with 520 miles on it in Arkansas, but it had the 5.3L not the 6.2L. Once you have a 6.2L, in my opinion you can't go back! Good luck with your decision.

If they have $10k off a new truck then by all means do it if you can afford it!! Here in the Midwest I do not see $10K off. Heck the most I have seen is $4500 at the dealership in town and around the area. GM needs to get with the program with performance, ride quality, seat comfort! Fancy paint and same HP/TQ numbers from 2014 don't do it for me!!! Their new Small Block V8's need to get here ASAP. Good luck with your decision

I had the T1 body style, a 2019 High Country, really liked it at first, then realized it was all FLUFF. Until GM offers a new powertrain, and better riding truck, I'll keep my Denali. It rides better, the @$$ end doesn't bounce around like my High Country did. Plus, I get around 3-4 mpgs better in fuel economy with my Denali 6.2L then my HC 6.2L. I will say the only thing that is truly amazing in the new trucks is the 10 speed tranny. It was phenomenal.. Choice is yours, the new Duramax is very nice, but NONE of these new trucks are worth the price they are asking for them! Plain and simple in my opinion.

Ya, buy a Corsa Sport Catback System. Yes, it's pricey, but it's the BEST exhaust out there for GM small block V8's. Anyone on this forum who has Corsa can attest to it.

Any idea if the "OP" bought the truck? Also, I would love to do this, but ever since Covid, around here in the Midwest where I am located, the aftermarket places have jacked up the prices for supercharging and tuning!

I know it costs alittle bit of money, but the Corsa sport catback exhaust is probably the best out there! I had it on my 2019 high country and now installed it on my Denali. There is zero drone, and the exhaust note is intoxicating!

I bought a Hypertech Spectrum for $200 and change. It was a flash sell on RealTrucks. It gets rid of AFM, adjusts speedometer for tire/wheel size, adds HP/TQ, adjust TQ management for transmission on 8 speeds, if you have a 6 speed you can adjust the shift points. I am very pleased with what it does for the price. Good luck
