  1. Man you are so childish. And I don’t have sleepy 5.3. I have a 6.2 that will embarrass that false claimed Hemi. Again. You debate like a 12 year old and Stay gone, join the Ram forums where you belong.
  2. I posted earlier and of course the site didn’t post what I put Ill be man enough and state on any given Day the 5.3L and 5.7L are very close and one could beat the other. I’m coming from a viewpoint where ram guys think their so called Hemi’s are so much better than a 5.3L because of the HP/TQ advantage it has. You have to give props to the 5.3L and GM for engineering it for this disadvantage. Now do I think they can up the HP. Absolutely but then it wouldn’t get its gas mileage. My stepdads new Sierra with 10 spd and 5.3 gets 23 mpgs all day long. My buddies ram barley cracks 19. That’s a huge difference. Especially when performance is a toss up The 6.2L on the other hand is not even close. I’ve raced them side by side. 19 to a 19. I even posited pics of it and my trucked walked all over my buddies. And if you think he can’t race. His other vehicles are a 780 hp zl1, a 650hp supercharged LS3 avalanche, and a 550hp Range Rover. The man knows how to drive and has FAST vehicles. finally it was a great debate. no blood was shed and all of you, including the wanderer, take care and stay safe.
  3. So when the 6.2L rips off a 5.4 secs to 60 compared to a 6.2 secs to 60 in the so called Hemi. On the SAME DAY comparison. That’s not getting destroyed. You are way to comical. Give up man it comes down to what I stated before. The 5.3 hangs with and can beat a 5.7L deal with it youngling
  4. If this closed minded individual would read for comprehension. Then my article states the 5.3L had the 8 speed transmission and ran a 6.1 sec time to 60. So stating that the new T1 trucks with the 8 speed gets destroyed is even more comical. It runs better with a 10 speed. It just shows how truly adolescent “the wanderer” really is
  5. Again, IN THE HEAD TO HEAD COMPARISON....READ the d@mn article https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparison-test/a22984237/2019-ford-f-150-vs-chevrolet-silverado-vs-ram-1500-pickup/ Ram so called Hemi ran it in 6.2 Secs Chevy with mighty 6.2L ran it in 5.4 Secs That is almost a whole second!! Get your facts straight. That was in a true comparison test on SAME DAY!!! and my second article https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a25016363/2019-chevy-silverado-1500-by-the-numbers/ 5.3L ran it in 6.1 secs You are truly a scorned individual who is getting awfully b@tthurt over this. Seriously man get a grip!
  6. Well I see the "wanderer" is still out wandering around coming up with excuses and totally missing the point of what I was saying! Go Figure Here is what I meant in plain dumb english for him because he has more excuses than anyone trying to debate than I've ever seen: 1. "Most" of the Ram guys I know think there so called "hemi" (which isn't a hemi) is the baddest around. They think the 5.3L is weak, because they have a 40 HP advantage, along with 20 LB TQ also. 2. We as consumers do not have many choices when it comes down to what the manufacturers give us. The weight, gears in transmission, and rear end gear ratio are set by them. IF YOU DON"T LIKE THAT, TAKE IT UP WITH THEM. It's not GM's fault that they offer a new 10 spd and decided to cut weight on their trucks. Stop making excuses. 3. I never once said the Ram "hemi" s@cked! I said I like the engine, I just stated that those Ram guys talk how good their Hemi's are?? Which goes back to point topic #1. The fact that a truck with a disadvantage of 40HP 20TQ outperforms a more powerful truck is what I was getting at. Those are the FACTS and it's in the articles I posted! 4. This totally lost individual "wanderer" is missing the point all together. The truck that ANYONE OF US can buy off the lots RIGHT NOW. THE 5.3L OUTPERFORMS the 5.7L so called Hemi trucks! Not the truck that is found "wandering around" in the "wanderer's" mind! Now move on with your day, or keep wandering around, that's your choice little fella! Hopefully you understand now, can stop making excuses, "what if's", and "but, buts"! To everyone else, this was never a d!ck measuring contest for me, it was a simple point that I proved with the 2 articles I posted!
  7. They make a 400 now in the Verado. A buddy of mine has a Regency tritoon with a Verado supercharged 350 Hp on it. Sounds very nice. I like that little charger whine! http://www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/engines/outboard/verado/250-400-hp/ and yes the ProXS tops out at 300 hp with a 4.6L v8. Haven’t heard one of them. Would love to from the sound of it. and yes the difference from inboard motor swap compared to an outboard is out right highway robbery!! Those outboards go for crazy cash. $100 per HP is going rate.
  8. Awe!!! I likey. Nice setup. Especially twin 350s. I bet that boat screamed and sounded mean doing it. Yes. My father is big fisher man and loves the outboards, especially the maintenance and winterizing of them. super easy. Me, I still prefer the inboard, the kids, wife and I love tubing and skiing still. I can see myself in 10 years getting a tritoon with twin 400s on it. Heck by then mercury will probably have a 1000 hp outboard by then. ??
  9. True. But I know the 304 stainless will hold up and is backed by lifetime warranty. What’s the difference if your spending it on your vette or your truck?? I don’t have a vette. I have a boat and I am also dropping a 350 mag mpi into this winter. I want more power and speed! To each their own. I truly love the throaty exhaust sound this truck has. The fit and finish is also very nice. I won’t ever have to worry about it rusting out. Here in Midwest the salts and other cr@p they put on these roads, eat away at welds like no other. I have ZERO drone. Can you honestly say you have zero drone?? I wish I could upload my startup but it won’t let me here on the site. Says file is too big. Again I’m not bashing, I’m just a very fickle person and like to have my stuff done right the first time. Just the way I am made. I also detail vehicles as a side job and I don’t half@$$ doing that either. This also pays for all of my upgrades. I see it as free spending money for my toys. I’ve never spent money on any of my vehicles from my regular job. Take care and be safe.
  10. I too miss my 06 trailblazer SS. Hands down best handling vehicle I ever owned. That thing could corner so well for a big SUV. I have been looking like crazy on cars.com for an unmolested one for my son and me to mod up.
  11. Understandable. If you look at the price of truck compared to a cat back exhaust. It’s quite small.
  12. That so called “beast” still can’t beat a 5.3L.......lol. Some beast ? ignorance at its finest folks.
  13. Lol. I fixed my error. It’s all good. I’d be laughing at yourself too for the ignorant “what if’s” and “buts” you have been rambling on and on about. The point is. I have posted facts and it cut you deeply.......?
  14. Let's see, you ramble on and on, show no facts, try to justify why the Ram has disadvantages, like it's some other manufacturers fault. And I threw in another fact that it really shouldn't be called a Hemi?? I'd say you are a VERY SORE LOSER
  15. Again, we are offered what we are offered, Keep defending all you want. At the end of the day, the GM truck outperforms it! PERIOD!! I showed you facts, you are rambling and throwing out "what ifs" and "but, but, but" with no concrete facts. BTW...the Hemi isn't truly a Hemi, so I think it's comical they still call it that! Here it is: "The current-production "Hemi" V8 with its pinched chamber, does not have true hemispherical combustion chambers despite the name; rather, it bears a closer resemblance to the mid-1950s Polyspherical chamber, which Chrysler engineers developed as a lower-cost alternative head for their V8 engines! Now what you gonna ramble and try to say for this?? Hey, move on with your day man. Stop the what if's. Look at what's offered and that's the facts.
  16. Again, YOU don't understand, you are so upset and not clearly thinking because your pouting like a toddler without his binky (that's a babies pacifier!! just for clarification for you because I know you struggle a bit!! ?). "WE" as consumers have no control for the most part over what gears, weight of truck, ratios are offered on trucks. My point on this (which you clearly tried taking it out of context and rambling on about the "POOR" disadvantages your Ram Hemi has compared to a similarly equipped GM truck) is that the GM truck with a 5.3L outperforms it. IT"S RIGHT THERE IN THE ARTICLE. I am comparing 2019 trucks also, NOT older trucks! You obviously don't read for comprehension or maybe you were too caught up in the moment in your temper tantrum that you just didn't read it?? IDK, either way, FACTS are FACTS and the magazine company compared them. They're right there in front of you! Grab a cup of coffee, or maybe some milk, and read the articles. They are good reads!
  17. oh ok, you think what you want there Tiger!!! Facts point to say that I am right....if you can read an article, my point is proven!!
  18. Man I struck a NERVE!!! Let me put it this way for you because you obviously have your panties in a bunch! The 5.3L with the 10 Spd transmision in the GM TRUCK outperforms a Ram Hemi 5.7L with a 8 spd transmission. Does that clarify things?? Let it go man, when comparing trucks with these 2 engines, the 5.3L outperforms the 5.7L ......is that better. That's why a gave you FACTUAL information in the 2 articles! Be mad at Ram for not giving you more gears and less weight!! Can you now move on with your day?? WOW!???
  19. I'm sorry you took it that way. I was just stating facts and that with a 40 HP disadvantage the new 5.3L outperforms a more powerful Hemi. Sorry I hurt your feelers with the facts I gave. Both engines are very good. I like both. i just like GM engines more. Always had great luck with them. Take care
  20. I was talking about the older 2014-2018 models. The new 2019+ models compared to a new Ram and its not a comparison, read the articles, SIR! I never mentioned it was slower, My 2018 beat my buddies 2019 ram in the picture, I stated this, but it didn't do it very easily, but my 2019 walked all over it! I also mentioned my 2018 struggled because of the transmission...keeping up yet? My whole point to the conversation is that the new 2019+ 5.3l with the 10 spd tranny outperforms the Hemi Ram and it does. If you wanna complain to ram about weight, gear ratio, and the amount transmission gears...go right ahead. The facts remain clear in the article.
  21. Yes, a 2014-2018 Gm truck with a 6.2L had troubles with the 5.7L Hemi because of the lazy transmission shifting in those trucks. My 2018 against my buddies in the picture had troubles. I only beat it by a half a truck. These new 10 spds and in sport mode is a whole different story. He is currently looking at a Laramie edition. He really likes it, and good for him, just stating what I have done against it, and what magazine companies have compared in reviews
  22. "Dude"?? I'm just giving you facts. It's a truck comparison of what is offered by both manufacturers. I'm not bashing the Hemi, I'm just giving you facts that the new 5.3L with a 40HP DISADVANTAGE can run with the Hemi. It's not GM's, Ford's, or any other manufacturers problem that Ram decided not to give its truck a diet. You can ramble on all you want that it's not apples to apples, but it really is, because that is what is offered. BTW.. my buddy owns a new Ram and my 6.2L walks all over it and even he is surprised...it is what it is. Here is his truck, he owns his own tinting business, if you think I might be bashing without facts! Have a great day, Sir!
  23. It is an apples to apples because that is what Ram offers. No excuses. It's Ram's problem for making it weigh so much and not offering more gears. It is what it is. The new 10 spd Gm 5.3l will keep up and beat a new Ram Hemi.. Those are the facts. The new 10 spd 6.2L beats the new Hemi ram by almost a second to 60 mph Here is the review: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparison-test/a22984237/2019-ford-f-150-vs-chevrolet-silverado-vs-ram-1500-pickup/ 6.2l runs 0-60 in 5.4 secs 5.7L hemi runs 0-60 6.2 secs https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a25016363/2019-chevy-silverado-1500-by-the-numbers/ 5.3L runs 0-60 in 6.1 Secs Have a great day
  24. Those seem like very minor things to switch over to another brand. Me personally, I would never go to a Ford. Ram makes a good looking truck and nice interior but good luck with those. A few friends of mine have had nothing but issues with them. And Ram guys talk how good their Hemi’s are?? The new 5.3L with 10 spd will hang with it even with a 40 hp disadvantage. And the 6.2L. No contest. But good luck! ?
  25. So agree with you on IDIOTIC dealerships. I am having the rear brake squeak and my dealership won’t fix it and said they can’t replicate. I called the dealership where I bought truck and they said there is a TSB out on the rear brakes and they are covered but brakes now are in back order because of COVID-19. So how can one stealership state no TSB and the other pulls it right up. That right there p!sses me off.
