  1. Hate to say it but save up your money and do it right. I bought Corsa because of my bed size and it was available. Borla exhaust is also very nice. Either one will get you extra HP and the right aggressive sound without the drone. My father has flowmaster on his 09 F150 and it sounds great accelerating but highway cruising speeds. Sounds like @$$. Drones terrible.
  2. Yours sounded like it ran a lot better than mine. I know the 07-09 ran better than the 06's and they made improvements on them. You couldn't swap out for a 6 spd in a 2006, but 2007 and up you could do a swap. IDk if you can now or not, but back in 2010 you couldn't. Yes, I miss mine as well. The AWD and lowered stance was aggressive, and able to haul 5 people and a boat to the lake was awesome for the time. I had a magna-flow catback on it and it was LOUD! I recently googled them on cars.com and they are going for hefty prices. I wanted to get a stock one for my son when he drives in 3 years, but OUCH, they are going for a nice price. Plus, with it being an SUV, I'd rather have him in that instead of a camaro.
  3. I didn't ever run my TBSS but from the seat of my pants and how well this 10 Spd shifts. I think my truck can take this. My best friend and son's good father has 2 stout race cars both pushing over 800+ at the crank and he also stated my new truck would beat my old SS. That 4 spd really hindered those vehicles. They needed a 6 spd back then to really keep the LS2 in its sweet spots.
  4. Nice. I was/am TNTSS on there. Have not been to the site in a few years
  5. Nice, I also read you had a Trailblazer SS ? Did you do any upgrades. I had a 2006 Superior Blue AWD SS 10 years ago. Loved it, was very quick for it's time, except I couldn't stand the terrible 4 spd. I had a 3200 stall, CAI, tune.I went through 2 transmissions in the darn thing.
  6. It's just a 0-60 App on my Iphone. To be honest I have only done a 0-60 run (5.68 secs). I will try and do a 1/4 run some time. Just never have done one. Just always did a 0-60. I've never taken it to the track. I'd be curious how well it runs, just never have time with job, wife, 2 kids, and a German Shephard pup. @OnTheReel has the correct device and on another thread he showed his improvements and they are quite impressive. Here is the device he runs: Dragy performance module. dragy 10Hz GPS Based Performance Meter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077KKPMTB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yp7rFbG63D2Y2 I also raced it against my step-fathers ecoboost before upgrades and after. HUGE difference. Just for $h!ts and giggles, I laid down a burn out before and after and the afterwards was darker, longer, and easier to laydown. The throttle response it better and crisper. My father who is a mechanic at a small town shop was awe-struck on how bad the flappers restrict the stock exhaust. He couldn't believe how much restriction it caused.
  7. Some individuals will argue this till they are dead. And it’s their choice. But they are foolish and wrong. CAI and exhaust make a huge difference on these trucks. The stock exhaust with the terrible flappers cover almost 50% of the exhaust when open. It’s a crappy design and restricts a ton of airflow. I am so glad I spent $1650 on my Corsa Exhaust and S&B intake. No regrets and I have seen better performance since install. I use just an app on phone and have seen increases of .3 secs. If it takes 33 hp per 55 mph. It’s gonna take you a while to get there. I care that I have 435+ hp on tap and I can get to 55 or higher really quick like!! And it’s a blast doing it. I still have a ton kid left in me and with these 6.2L I enjoy every minute of it. Also, we have had this discussion time and time again. Many have shown proven data stating these things work. So the data speaks for itself. Thank you OnTheReel for proving this for all of us. He has the correct device and has posted his results and they are precise and accurate.
  8. Agreed. I hope GM goes 10 spd across the lineup. I’m amazed they still have the 8 spd available. Especially with all the issues it had in the past. I was so close on pulling the trigger on a 2016 Camaro S.S. with 11k miles on it last year before I bought my new High Country. But that d@mn 8 spd had me second guessing. Glad I choose this new truck instead. No regrets, the 10 spd has been flawless
  9. I think GM will up the HP/TQ in this little motor for the 2022 model year. It’s a brand new motor and it has a ton of potential. Those acceleration videos are nice and without listening to it. You would think it’s an older 5.3. The new 5.3 is pretty stout and moves quite well also. My stepdads 2020 with 10 spd impressed me. Nice videos
  10. Love it. My buddies is Silver. Sweet looking car. He has headers, cam, exhaust, and tune in it currently. Doesn’t know if he wants to supercharge it or not.
  11. I don’t understand why not. They have the resources and small block heritage behind them to seriously Start a performance street truck division and put a huge hinder into Ford and Rams off roaders. A blown LS7 could easily push 800+ hp and be very reliable. A buddy of mine just bought 09 Z06 and absolutely loves the 7.0L. I’d sign on the line the minute it hit showroom floors and I guarantee many others on here would join me.
  12. It responded right away. You also have to make sure your foot is pressing on the brake firmly to make sure the tranny engages. I made mistake and didn’t put foot down hard enough once and it made clunking noise. That’s the main thing. Make sure you have foot down fully on brake.
  13. I just bought my wife a new 2020 Acadia and it has this gear selector to it. And yes, at first it’s different, but now WE love it. The whole center console area is free and open. I like my column shifter but if GM adds this to their trucks and give us a high performance truck, I won’t hesitate to snag one up. Come on GM gives us a street truck and off road truck. A 7.0l supercharged truck would be where it’s at!
  14. Yes u need to use a steamer in order to get the tint off. Or it will damage the defroster. Then glue will be left over. Need a good soapy cleaning solution and steal wool. I’d just pay someone to take it off. Less hassle for u. Especially if u don’t have steamer.
  15. Congrats on new truck. I converted my step dad over from a 2013 Furd about a month and he is enjoying his new Sierra 5.3L 10 spd combo as well. what combination did u go with ? If you got the new 5.3l in these trucks along with the weight loss, they actually accelerate as fast to 60 mph as a new hemi. here is the article. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a25016363/2019-chevy-silverado-1500-by-the-numbers/
  16. The 4.3l is a great motor. You’ll love it. As for the other comment by Teddy Ruxpin. Move along old man.
  17. There is a magazine article out there that shows the GMPP adds 15 HP and it made a improvement of .2 secs in time to 60 mph. I can't remember which one?? Sorry. Not a big gain, but it is a gain. I have noticed since putting on my Corsa Exhaust and S&B CAI that is very noticeable and I see an almost .35 secs improvement in sport mode. I just use an App. @OnTheReel has the real 0-60 timer device and he has seen great gains with his truck.
  18. My Silverado HC was snickered at $70k. What’s another $10k. Lol I’ll tell you what it’s nice looking and the acceleration of this thing in 3 secs is quite impressive. Let it be on the road for couple years and work out kinks and I’d look into it. I like the looks and the features. Idk if I could give up my V8 exhaust note though??
  19. I disagree. The trucks don't look alike at all on the outside. This isn't 2002 anymore. I think the high country wheel would look great on a Sierra. It would make it unique but still have that nice OEM look to it. I did this to my wife's terrain a few years back. I put the 5 spoke equinox wheel on it and it made a world of difference. No other terrain had it on it. Your Sierra would fit into that ballpark. I traded in my 10 spokes and got the black with chrome inserts. I really liked the wheel, I just didn't really like that EVERY other HC had them on it. I have yet to see a Sierra with HC wheels on them. If you do it, for-sure post pics good luck
  20. I am just telling you the facts. I am not trying to to argue with you Your quote stated I don't see a point in lighter tint. Tint is all about heat rejection and keeping out harmful UV sunlight. The fact many don't know this, just shows that so many people think tint is for just looks! It's not I never said I didn't like dark windows. I do, having my vehicle basically 2% my whole life proves that. I just don't do it anymore because in Iowa it's HIGHLY illegal and got tired of getting pulled over every other week. Plus, after a few tickets, cops can pull your license from you if they want to for not obeying the law!. It's just not worth it in my opinion. I've gone through it! Again, not trying to argue with you just giving you facts about it being illegal, being dangerous at night, and that tint is more than just for looks. Have a great day! Stay safe
  21. Coming from a guy who tinted windows and who has had windows with 5% stacked on top of itself, and having the windshield 20% with a 5% strip, it can get dangerous and very hard to see out of at night! That's a fact! Especially when you are on a street without street lights. Your rear view camera only covers so much area! Also like others have mentioned, it's highly illegal and though (I agree, it looks awesome) but it draws a ton of attention to you for good and bad reasons. Also you stated, "I do not see the point of having tint any lighter." I'll answer that for you. The tint shade doesn't matter on heat rejection. The type of tint used is what it's all about. I have seen 35% solar guard film have a better heat rejection than a certain type of 5% 3M film. So the shade of the tint has NOTHING to do with the amount of heat you are keeping out of the vehicle!
  22. Ya that sucks. P!sses me off when a stealership won’t do there job and fix a vehicle. Especially when it’s under warranty. Wonder if you got into bad gas? Injector clogged? My father is mechanic and we got into bad gas in our old dodge caravan and it knocked out 4 of the 6 injectors. Ran horrible. Just a thought I have had none of those issues???? hopefully you get yours resolved. I did go through the Chevy shake bull$h!t and had to have my 2016 Sierra bought back from GM. That took almost 4 months to take care of but I was glad how My dealership handled it. My 2017 and 2018 had no issues what so ever. Only reason I have this new one was because of 10 spd tranny. Couldn’t stand old 8 spd clunking.
  23. What year. I have a late 2019 (made in June). I have both and no issues. What’s it doing?
  24. See. I feel opposite. My 2018 Sierra 6.2L 8 spd was a clunking dog. Made me so mad. Now when I tuned it. It was a whole new beast. But this new HC I have with 10 spd, exhaust and CAI is faster all around. I love this truck. Don’t miss my 18 at all. Hopefully you will also. Take care.
  25. I think it looks great. Coming from a guy who used to tint windows. I love mine dark but like others have said, police probably won’t bother you when they can see an outline of you. When you start to go real dark. They harass you. I had 5% all around my last suv and 20% windshield and I got pulled over 3 times in less than 2 months. Not worth it also you want darker on back for kids because factory don’t is just a dye, u don’t get any heat rejection from it. Here is my truck. I also have a 5% strip on front. I don’t do windshields anymore. To much of a hassle. truck looks sharp
