  1. Thanks for the input!! Much appreciated Finally got them uploaded. The front and rear where dent used to be
  2. @Ted Drury.....I have never ridden in a truck that has a lift that rides better than factory. Heck my neighbor down the street has a 2020 LT Trailboss, and he is super envious of how my High Country rides compared to his truck. But hey, enjoy your truck, take care
  3. Just curious, I've never understood why guys "JACK" up their trucks?? They are already high enough off the ground, then you add these lifts and have to JUMP up into them, and then they also drive like old horse chariots! To each their own, but I prefer not to use a ladder to get into my truck. Father is a mechanic and he says the moment you jack them up, stuff starts to go wrong, especially in the front end areas. Good luck with your claim, I hope another dealer can get the issue fixed for you. BTW, where is that dealership getting off charging $189 just to open it up??? That's an outrageous rate.
  4. Trying to upload pics of door sills but says I can only upload 4.88MB. The picture is only 2.5MB
  5. I woke up this a.m and put on Putco door sill protectors. I was at lake house last weekend and dropped the laptop and the rear passenger door seal and it put a huge dent in it! Tried carrying too many things in my hands at once. Oh well, all fixed now. Only thing I don't like about them is that they were supposed to say Silverado on them. Not huge deal, but still wished they did.
  6. Also with these CAI, you must unplug the battery for 2 1/2 hours and then shut off the filter light on dash, and you won't have any problems!
  7. I also have the dry one. The oiled ones can mess up the mass air flow sensor if not oiled properly. @Grumpy Bear......that's your opinion, but I have had one of these and it makes a huge difference. Do you want to know how? Well, after racing my stepdads ecoboost, I gained a half a truck length, so you can take your ambient temperatures along with your stock air intake and grab a bowl of porridge and maybe you will be HappyBear! Good Day!!
  8. I had this problem with my 2016 Sierra SLT 1500. GM had a special technician come up from Texas to try and fix my truck. It was in the shop for 3 months out of the 6 months I owned it. They tried everything. GM bought truck back and put me into a 2017 SLT and threw in headrest DVD's for my kids. I was not a happy man, but was thankful for GM working with me. I called them EVERYDAY!!! So stay on them! I would first start with the drive shaft, then have them put different rims and tires on your truck. Some rims just aren't made properly, and won't ever balance right, very few, but it does happen. Try those 2 things first.
  9. I agree! They don't claim HP numbers, but what they do claim is air flow and air restriction. They "minimize air restriction and flows 51.69% better than stock." The GM's air intake is rated at 13% air restriction. So in theory the S & B is 4 times better than the Gm intake. So it probably makes 8 to 10 HP compared to GM's 2 that they claim if you take it from the performance package. When I put it on my 2018, I could truly feel the difference, and the sound was amazing. I can't wait for mine on my 2019, and the price is fantastic for the product you are getting. I don't believe even the RotoFab flows that much air and the S & B is $170 cheaper!! You won't be disappointed.
  10. Not true. I got $6k in discounts, plus the zero percent interest on my left over 2019 high country. Traded in my 2018 Sierra for it. Love this new 10 spd and larger bed.
  11. My 2019 High Country shuts down at 112! My 2018 Sierra SLT shut off at 98! That was annoying. I tuned it and it shut off at 130! What tires were rated for. Had no problems with it at that speed. Now, I didn't stay at that speed for long. Just did it while proving a point to F-150's when they wanted to race! lol
  12. Nice looking truck. Like Cpl_Punishment stated, your truck has DFM and it's 100 times better than AFM. This is coming from a guy who had 3 trucks with AFM and you could tell everytime they went into V4 mode. I can't tell when the DFM kicks in now on my High Country. I really like it....that being said, I took AFM off my 2018 and it actually got better FE than when it was on. I used a Hypertech Max Energy and loved it. I know you can't tune the new ones without paying a ton of money.........has anyone bought the new Range DFM disabler? I would really love to know and have my truck stay in V8 mode all the time.
  13. If anyone is interested in an AVS Aeroskin 2, they are on sale now at autoanything.com for $55. 1 year price match. Just got back $9 from them when I ordered mine a month ago.
  14. I would suggest the S & B CAI. They claim the most air flow out of all the competitors, and for $329 its a steal. I am ordering mine tomorrow. I had one on my 2018 and the fit and finish was fantastic. The seat of the pants performance felt better and the growl was fantastic. Can't wait for my new one!
  15. You have to go into your settings on the dash using your toggle buttons on the steering wheel. Find the air filter and select it to disable it. BTW. I am ordering my S & B intake tomorrow. I had one on my 2018 Sierra and I loved it. The fit and finish is excellent and I did a lot of research on CAI, and they allow the most air to the engine. They don't claim HP/TQ numbers like others, but they claim the most air flow, and like the pictures show, the air filter is ginormous!
  16. That's a very unique color. Can't say that I have ever seen it. Would love to see a few more pics on it. Love the blacked out GMC logo. I have a lot of that bronze look on my high country and it is really growing on me, I think this color would definitely do the same. NICE TRUCK.
  17. I have the AVS aeroskin 2 on my high country. I love it. I picked mine up at autoanything.com. One year price match. My truck is black and you don't even notice it's on there until you come up to it. I would recommend having another set of hands if you are novice on putting these on. Gotta get them aligned correctly or it won't look right.
  18. Hate to break it to you but the new 5.3L beats the new Hemi, (Go read car and driver article) and will hang with the 5.0L. Plus, the amount of issues the 5.0L has good luck! Ford has that thing so high strung right now, it's eating oil and munching timing chains like the cookie monster, but, hey, go ahead be my guest. The 5.3L is a fantastic motor that gets excellent gas mileage, tows very well below 6k lbs, and if you want more power, get one that is E85 compatible, My 2017 was and I could take my step dads Ecobust or any Hemi all day long. They love that fuel.
  19. Just did that yesterday! Took off everything except the 6.2L on the hood. First time debadging. Really like the look of it.
  20. I've had mine for a month but just recently joined the forum. Leftover 2019 Silverado High Country with 6.2L and standard sized bed. I also traded in the stock 22s for OE black and chrome wheels. I also have put on a tonneau cover and AVS Aeroskin. I just debadged the high country on the fender and tailgate, along with the Silverado letters. Debating on keeping the 6.2L on the hood.
  21. Those look nice!! Now that's my kind of RIDE! I stayed with 22's right now but bigger wheels are in the future. I have a buddy with 18 Escalade on 26's. Looks amazing.
  22. I have owned both the 5.3L with a 6 spd and 8 spd, along with a 6.2L with a 8 spd and now 10 spd. There is a reason why my 2019 is still a 6.2L! It's an amazing powerhouse of a motor. There isn't much out there that can contend with it, except the new Limited F150s and Raptors. That being said, the 2017 5.3L I had with the 8 spd was a fantastic motor/transmission combo. It did everything I wanted it to do and more. When I put E85 in it, I could beat my step dads eco-bust. I have driven a new 2019 with a 5.3l and they feel a lot snappier, almost like it was with E85. My father who is a mechanic loves the 5.3L, states it has more than enough power for 80% of the people who drive them now a days.
  23. I am not impressed right now with my 19 Silverado. It has been averaging 17.6 mpg's. I have just installed a tonneau cover and saw my first 21 to 22 mpg's. I know they make a difference in drag. Since installing it, (only 2 weeks ago) I have driven the same interstate at 82 mph to our lake house and have seen that 2-3 mpg better on the trip meter. It still doesn't hold a candle to my 18 Sierra with a 6.2L, 8spd, and 3.23. I would average 23-24 on highway going 70 and 20 mpgs going on interstate to lake house. All my buddies couldn't believe the mileage I got with it. I am almost regretting getting rid of it, but the 8 spd low gear clunks drove me nuts. This new 10 spd is amazing and you can't even feel it shift. My 2017 5.3L with 8spd and 3.42 rear end average 22-23 on highway and 20 in interstate. The 5.3L did get 1.5 mpg better in town. If money isn't a huge factor, I would go with a 6.2L in a lower trim. GM finally has started to put them into lower trims. I would "recommend" always running premium fuel in it. I don't mind the difference because it's about $8 difference in tanks where I fill up at here in Midwest. I have a buddy who has a 2019 6.2L Sierra and all he has ever run in it is 89 and it runs fine. I want the full 420HP and enjoy smoking Ford Ecobusts!!
  24. I can tell you that I had a 2018 Sierra with 6.2L 3.23 8spd. I now have a 2019 Silverado 6.2L 3.23 with 10 spd. I can tell you this new 19 would beat my 18. The 10 spd is so dialed in it's crazy, and to be able to put it into sport mode makes it even snappier. I also had my 18 tuned with a Hypertech programmer. Made huge difference in performance, but this 19 would still have beaten it. The 8spds in the 6.2Ls have a clunking/hesitation problem between 1st/2nd gear. Was always hunting when driving around town. This new 10spd does none of that!
  25. The replacement pieces look amazing. Going to order those for my High Country. Can't stand the cheap interior wood on the doors and center console area. I don't mind the bronze on the radio and steering wheel though.
