  1. Agreed. I’ve seen the new Tahoe’s and they are gorgeous inside and out. Pictures don’t do them justification. Yes, it’s my opinion but just watch GM will sell a $h!t ton of these and stay large suv king. GM knows what they are doing people don’t buy these large suvs to drag race, go serious off roading. They buy them as family haulers and weekend warriors. If GM didn’t make the Traverse I’d get one but I can save $25k on a premier traverse that fits my families needs.
  2. I had the S&B on my 2018 Sierra and loved it. I have it ordered for my 2019 Silverado and it’s been in back order since June 19th. They make an excellent CAI. That’s why I chose it again. It’s just this d@mn pandemic that is holding me up from getting it. Can’t wait though. For the price I don’t think it can be beat.
  3. Here’s how your story and reasoning is irrational. you chose to drive ONE truck for 3 minutes and the lowest grade WT GM offers. LMFAO. Are you kidding me??? SMH Also, second when I bought my truck I test drove it for 10 minutes. It didn’t impress me much over my K2 at first but I bought it because of the 0% interest, plus I got discounts on it, and I got a heck of deal on my 2018 (drove it 2 years paid $45k for it and got $42k on trade in) here is where on your 3 min test drive you don’t get to appreciate the truck: The rear cabs in these trucks are so much roomier. The rear center counsel cup holders, air vents, and rear heated seats are fantastic and huge upgrade over K2 trucks. The engine combinations are amazing. The steering, road manners, and comfort of the T1s trump the K2s. I take this truck everywhere. Heck it took me almost a year to put 10k miles on my 2018. I’ve had this T1 for 4 months and have almost 8k miles on it. I love driving it. (Remember I owned 3 K2 trucks) The cameras and infotainment make the truck so much easier to park and deal with in a daily basis. The cabin layout and interior is simple and easy to use. (Even you’re tired old @$$ couldn’t mess it up) All these things you can’t appreciate in a 3 min test drive. THIS is how your reasoning is irrational. hopefully you took my advice from last night and we can see a happy bear from now on have a fantastic day and rest of your weekend. I’m going to go drive my T1 to my grandfathers house for a family gathering and cook him a steak! I know he won’t be grumpy and irrational!
  4. Man you have totally lost it. Irrational at its finest folks. How about this! Instead of wasting all your time trying to one up me or anyone else on this forum. Get out your little blue pill, shut off your computer. Flush your pill down with a glass of nice cold milk, and use this aggression/tension you have on your wife. Then tomorrow morning your can change your avatar name from Grumpy Bear to Happy Rejuvenated Papa Bear. good night and sleep tight
  5. Your logic is irrational. You never OWNED the truck. You test drove it. There is a huge difference. This thread is for people who OWN the truck. You seem like an intelligent old man, but your posts on this thread are making you look/sound quite foolish. Also many trucks drive/ride different. My first K2 truck rode totally different than my second and third one.
  6. I love the looks of the T1 trucks. I really feel they are an evolution of the 90s style c/k series trucks. They are super aggressive looking in person and especially when one comes up in you in your rear view mirror. Was driving wife’s terrain today and a white RST with rally stripes came up on me and WOW did it look sharp. Looks are subjective to everyone. But seeing the car in person is SO MUCH BETTER. Pics don’t give it justice. Also the thread is for PEOPLE who actually OWN a T1 truck and if THEY would BUY/REBUY again. Pretty self explanatory and H€LL yes to buying this truck again. I’ve only owned mine 4 months and the driving experience is 100% better than the 3 K2 trucks I owned. I truly love driving this truck.
  7. If you guys don’t want drone you gotta step up and get a full cat back. Borla, Corsa are 2 that have none. The Gibson on my old 2018 6.2 had almost none. Very faint. I just put my Corsa on and I can’t believe how much better it sounds, ZERO drone at highway speeds, and the restrictions the factory flappers have on the stock exhaust is ridiculous. It covers almost 50% of the exhaust. The truck accelerates much better, and when cruising down highway and setting cruise, my instant MPG gage was reading 2+ mpgs better than when I had stock exhaust. Just save up and do it right. Just my opinion. I waited 4 months kicking around whether to spend the money. I am so glad I did it. Now just waiting on the CAI. good-luck gentlemen on your decisions
  8. Agreed!! I have a high country and my leather is way better than my buddies SLT X31
  9. I'm impatiently still waiting for my S&B CAI. I am a believer in them. My 2018 truck was a better performing truck with the S&B CAI. Then I added my exhaust, and a Hypertech tune and it woke it up even more. I've spent $350 to $500 (depending on what CAI you get) on sillier things!! To each their own.
  10. My only concern with Flowmaster is the DRONE! My father has it on his 09 F150. It sounds great on start-up and taking off, but it is obnoxious on the highway. He doesn't notice it as much, because he is getting older and losing some of his hearing, but I can't stand driving in it.
  11. I think it sounds great. I got my Corsa on last night and I am really enjoying the drive-ability of these trucks. They are more responsive now without the flappers. I think you hit a home run. Congrats and enjoy. Nice looking truck.
  12. I just put on my Corsa Exhaust last night and what a difference in driving. The truck is more alive now without those obnoxious flappers. When my father and I were cutting out the stock exhaust, I looked at them and I can't believe the restriction they have on the exhaust flow. What a cheesy design. This Corsa exhaust has more of a sports car/suv sound. I like it and there is ZERO drone cruising down the highway. I had all windows down and radio off and all I could hear where the slightest noise of my Bridgestone tires. Now I am still waiting on S & B intake. Been over 2 months. I told them they should send me another replaceable dry cotton filter as customer courtesy, got email back from head manager and they are making it tomorrow?? We shall see.
  13. I bought the TruXedo TruXport Roll-Up Tonneau Cover for my truck for $300 through autoanything when it was on sale. Really like the quality of the cover. It is very similar to the factory GM one, but for $150 less than what dealership wanted. Go to autoanything and plug in your year, make, and model and they will have a ton of different covers for you to choose from. Good luck with your choice!
  14. Congrats on new purchase and welcome. Must have's for a truck is very broad, because there is a plethora of things you can do to mod it or make it your own. Here are mine: Tint---(makes a huge difference in keeping out the heat!!) Wheels Tonneau Cover CAI Exhaust Weather Tech Floor mats Aeroskin Bug Deflector Interior Trim replacement Debadge or change badge colors Black out Emblems or Illuminated emblem others have done: Autostop/DFM Eliminator (wanting to do this for mine) Catch can (never done one, still debating on it for mine) A custom lift new shocks (most on here like the Bilstein 5100's) Running Boards Also go to Autoanything, American Trucks, Realtrucks, or other truck websites, and look at all things that are available on your truck. You just have to put in your year, make, and model and it will show you the things that fit your truck.
  15. I had Gibson dual sport exhaust on my 2018 Sierra and absolutely loved it. It has a fantastic deep tone when you get on it, but really quiet while cruising down the interstate/highway. I only paid $468 for it through autoanything last summer. I would have bought it again for my new Silverado but they don't offer it in CC Standard bed sizes. Was super bummed. Hear is a sound clip on youtube of a 5.3L. I know it's a 2014 but it gonna sound about the same.
  16. Tinted windows and wheels are the first things I put on my truck or any of my vehicles. Since you have tint, then I would get an exhaust system and CAI. Two things these trucks need to breathe and run better. I am not a fan of GM's stock exhaust and the flappers. Restricts too much air flow Good luck
  17. Looks awesome. Nice truck!! My favorite wheel GM has produced. I would have put them on but these Midwest winters kill the chrome around here.
  18. LOL, yes, the new 6.2L along with the 10 spd make these T1 trucks pretty quick. Especially since Gm really doesn't have them set up for performance like Ford has in the Craptor and the Limited F-150. Also, what hindered the TBSS was the 4 spd tranny. GM screwed up by not putting in the tremec 6 spd that you could get in the SSR trucks. For the year in 06-09 they were pretty quick though. And with the mods I had, I truly loved hauling the family in a corvette SUV and spanking 4.6L Rustangs all day long. My only regret was not putting a different muffler on it, the Magnaflow droned terrible at highway speeds. But I did have 4 TV's in it to muffle out the sound of the exhaust...LOL!! (Alpine 8 inch head unit, 2 alpine 7 inch headrests, and 1 alpine 10 inch overhead DVD player.) It was sweet going down the road at night watching the cars slow down to see all the TVs going.) Those were great times!!
  19. Agree with the previous 2 posts on the rock chips. Those huge tires will be slinging any type of rock they find on the road, and there is nothing worse then seeing a bunch of white rock chip marks on your paint I had a Superior Blue SS Trailblazer and it threw up so many rocks, and the whole side of truck was spotted white, luckily there was a TSB report out that GM offered to repaint for free, and put a clear shield down both sides of the suv to protect it. I would suggest clear shielding both sides of your truck to save the paint. Just my 2 cents
  20. I was really leaning towards the Borla S type, but unfortunately they don't make it for the CC standard bed. Wish they did because I would have purchase this for sure. So I went with the Corsa Dual Sport instead.
  21. 6.2L and 10 spd tranny combo. If my 2018 had this combo I would have kept it, but the hard shift/clunking drove me nuts. Still love the looks of the 2016-2018 Sierra's and Silverado's. Especially the Silverado, that 2 year design is very muscular looking when you see one in your rear view mirror.
  22. I have always bought GAP insurance, the most I have ever paid is $950 through the dealership. That is a bargain compared to the thousands you would spend if you are upside down on a truck, or even if you weren't. As fast as vehicles depreciate, you never know, it's money well spent in my point of view. And if "someone" is worried about $950, then they probably shouldn't be buying the vehicle in the first place. It changes yours payment by maybe $5 to $6.
  23. Ya, totally agree with MPG's on the 3.0L. Guy at dealership told me a guy he knew did test run on one in Oregon with mirrors folded in and went 55 to 60 and achieved over 40 MPG's. I do miss my 2018 MPGs. That truck just got excellent FE, but the 8 spd drove me nuts with it's 1st and 2nd gear clunking and hard shifting. I had it in the shop for GM to look over 5 times. They reprogrammed it, but refused to change fluid in it, said it was normal??, so I traded it for the left over 2019. This new 2019 is super smooth and it's finally getting decent mileage compared to what I was getting when I first bought it. It was around 17 mpgs. Was very disappointed in it. At first this has been the only truck I felt guilty buying because I truly loved the 2018 in every way except for that dang clunking/hard shifting. Now, I am glad I switched, because these T1's are so much nicer, roomier, and livable then the K2's. Again, either engine, you can't go wrong with in my opinion!
  24. 6.2l all day long. I did drive the baby duramax last week at dealership. It's nice and quiet, but is no where near as snappy as a 6.2L, but very stout for a diesel compared to the Ford or Ram diesels. The MPGs are great in the 3.0L, but my 6.2L is now getting 21.5 mpgs on the highway. Finally cracking the 20 mpgs. My 2018 6.2L would attain 23 to 24 mpgs all day long running 70 mph since the first day I bought it. In my honest opinion though, you couldn't go wrong with either one, because gas wise, even though you can use 87 or 89 in a 6.2L, I always put premium in it because it what gives it the most performance. Around here in Midwest premium and diesel are about the same price. $2.79/gal Good luck with your decision!!
