  1. It's a small 4" sub. Not surprised you can't feel/hear it.
  2. This is because 93 octane is not readily available out west. Most stations around me have 87/89/93 octane at the pump. A couple have 87/89/91/93. The 91 is usually less than $.10 difference, so I just use the 93.
  3. He sends you instructions based on your amp and the harness he builds. I just got mine from him, but I purchased the amp as well, so it is already wired. The Bose outputs to each speaker, so I am assuming 6 channels (6 sets of wires).
  4. That was my thought as well. They aren't a great tire at all, but they have a lot of life left in them, and someone else may feel differently. As bad as they slip in the rain, they will be worse in the snow. The Michelins are well reviewed, and everyone I know that has them, loves them. No sense in paying the shop double (disposal and resell) when I can just avoid the disposal fee and sell them myself.
  5. This was my thought as well. I would rather get a few bucks for them vs the tire shop charging a disposal fee and selling them.
  6. I’m getting rid of the Bridgestone Alenzas on my 22 refresh and putting on a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S. This truck rarely sees dirt roads, so no sense in ruining my gas mileage with AT tires. The tires have just a little over 10k miles on them, but with winter coming I wanted better snow traction. What did you do with your old tires? Let the shop “dispose” of them, or keep them and sell on a Martketplace?
  7. There are ignition on circuits in the passenger side fuse box.
  8. If you decline OTA updates, they will stop sending them and you will have to have them done at the dealer moving forward. Mine has only done 2 updates since I bought it last year. A third one was hung in a Paused state after it killed my battery. Once I charged the battery, it seems to have been removed. Others had the same issue with that update, so GM likely backed it out.
  9. I went with JL Audio C1-690x in the front doors. They made a big difference. I put JBL Club 622s in the rear doors, and they did not. The rear door speakers are just muddled. Dash speakers I went with the Kenwood KFC-X2C, and they made a big difference. It did reduce the volume of my turn signals though. I have an amp and loopback harness on the way, that will hopefully make it all sound better.
  10. Thank you for the input! I was looking at the AC LC-6.1200 this morning as another option, but it seems to need a processor as well. I was told that the output from the Bose is 32v and I would need to convert it to 8v for the JLA. I mainly wanted the amp to power the dash and door speakers, while leaving the Bose amp in place for the sub under the center console. I may give AIS a call.
  11. CAR Stereo. Stupid auto-complete
  12. I have a couple of questions for the car stereo savvy folks here. I can wire everything up, but am not a stereo builder. I have upgraded all of the door and dash speakers on my 22 Refresh Denali, and while they made a big difference over the factory Bose speakers, I still think they need an amp to reach their full potential. I am looking at adding the JL Audio XD660/6v2 via a LLJ Loopback Harness. Do I need a LOC unit as well? Is there anything else I am missing to make this as plug and play as possible? I appreciate any advice or input.
  13. The Bose "subwoofer" is tiny compared to the pre-refresh models, and is pretty useless.
  14. Its of good info in this post:
  15. Changing dash speakers is pretty easy. There is already a write up with pictures in another thread on the main forum. I went with the Kenwood speakers recommended by Crutchfield. You will lose your turn signal click due to frequency range, but I think there is a filter you can add to get it back. I replaced everything but the 4" sub under the center console. It needs an amp to really round it out, which will happen later this fall.
  16. Did they ever resolve this?
  17. Mine popped up last night, and then postponed it because my wife and kid were taking their sweet time getting out of the truck. I ran an errand this morning and it wanted to start it again when I got home and parked. I kicked off the update about 30 minutes ago, so it’s time to go check and see if it completed.
  18. Someone here posted a link to the micro switches on Amazon. Just buy a bag of them.
  19. The sequence is press the lock button, press the start button two times. That is how my 19 SLT and now my 22 Denali work.
  20. Nay. I don't put non-functional crap on any of my vehicles. You aren't going to be driving anywhere fast enough for either of those to make a difference. Especially since is isn't lowered. Spoilers and splitters are for actual track cars.
  21. See that hole in the bottom of the cover that lines up with the location of the micro switch? If you put your finger up there when the message is going off, you can push on the little switch lever and the truck shuts off. It's a stupid fix, but free and it worked until I traded mine in.
  22. Just the Bose 7 and 12 speaker stereos.
  23. Has the dealer checked all of the grounds? There was a TSB for the under hood fuse block not being torqued down, but I would think you would have had issues all along if that was the culprit.
  24. You can buy the AutoStop Eliminator. There have been reported lifter failures on trucks that didn't have AFM/DFM enabled, but they are rare.
  25. I actually haven't tried any of those since I got it done. I will check and report back.
