  1. I found the steering column parts diagram, but it only appears that the shifting mechanism is sold as a single part. I went the jumper route this morning because it has gotten worse and I’m heading out of town for a week. Hasn’t happened a single time after I jumped the wires, which has been 5 trips around town today. Before I jumped the wires, I had the switch loose and it did it as soon as I hit the stop button. Bridge the wires with the blade of my pocket knife and it immediately stopped. Let us know if they do anything to fix it, or replace the switch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. There is one 7mm (9/32) bolt under the center of the column cover, take that out. Reach under the dash where the cover goes through the lower panel, and pull the two apart to separate the top half from the bottom. With the truck running, lift up the top half and turn the wheel right and you will see another bolt. Remove it and repeat for the other side. You can see the switch from the left side of the column as pictured above. Reverse the process to put it all back together.
  3. Weathertech has them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You can buy the rubber stoppers on Amazon or at autozone. No need to get a GM part for a rubber plug. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This is the 4th time they fixed it, and last time the over torqued his spoiler bolts. It’s back a page or two, but he explained it all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. 2019 that leaked. Had the TSB done last week, and took it through the car wash the next day... It has not leaked yet. It is supposed to rain all day tomorrow, so I will check it again.
  7. Mine has started to act up more recently. 4 times yesterday alone. Since I am under warranty, I am going to point it out to the dealer and see if they can replace the micro switch. If they can, I will report back with a part number. If they can't, then I will jump mine as well. This shouldn't be happening at 24K miles.
  8. I dropped my 2019 off at 8am, and just picked it up. I had asked if they would replace the rear window, and the service manager said of the 5 he has had come in, only one leaked after the repair. He said the first time they did one, they didn't let the sealant cure long enough on that one. They told me they water tested it afterwards, and it didn't leak. I will let it sit overnight tonight, and water test it tomorrow myself. Now I just need to readjust my Bakflip, since it seems a little off. Fingers crossed it doesn't leak. I have a golf trip in 3 weeks and don't need my buddies in the back seat complaining of wet backs/butts.
  9. I have a 2019 Sierra SLT, and I just want to get rid of the feeling that my rear axle is hopping all over the place when I go over a bumpy patch in the road. I am not even worried about leveling the truck, just improving the ride and stability. From what I am reading, the 5100's seem to be the way to go. I had a Pathfinder at one point and put KYB AGX adjustable shocks/struts on all 4 corners. From the driver's seat it road just fine. Passengers in the read felt like their fillings were going to fall out on the middle setting. That is something I would like to avoid.
  10. Thanks for the quick reply! I will give them a call!
  11. What dealer did the original TSB for you? I am also in Bucks County, and was thinking of taking it to Faulkner. Thanks in advance!
  12. Yeah, the glass is good. I even went as far as clay barring the windshield. I'll just order a new wiper arm and give it a whirl. Thanks for your input!
  13. I have an issue with my driver side blade chattering and smearing right at the attachment point. I bought the truck used, and it was that way when I got it. Switched to the Bosch Envisions, but it is still there. Probably a tension issue, and I need to either reseat the arm, or bend it back a bit. Anyone else have this problem?
  14. Dropping mine off tonight. They are going to water test it, then give me a call. I plan to go in with the TSBs in hand, and discuss how they plan to address it.
  15. Insurance companies don’t like to deal in diminished value. To them, your vehicle was repaired so you are whole from a financial standpoint. Best bet would be to Google diminished value adjusters in your area, and give one of them a call. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m giving in and taking mine to the dealer. Going to ask for the window replacement, and ask them to put some sealant around the bolt holes before they reinstall the spoiler. Also going to have them inspect the window to make sure there is no missing sealant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My 2019 Sierra does this as well. I figured I would search here and Google. Google lead me to a class action suit for the Acadia, which has apparently had this issue since the 2017 model year. It is annoying for sure, and I can't seem to find any rhyme or reason for it.
  18. Uh, the one in the original post IS a rental from autozone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Should work just fine. Make sure you use a ratchet and not an air tool to compress it. Safety first! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks for the info! I had looked up the rear glass on GM Parts Direct, and they have it for $330. I'm sure shipping will cost a pretty penny as well. There is a local glass shop here that everyone recommends for windshields (vs Safelite), so I will give him a call. If you happen to have the part number for the rear glass, can you tell me if this is what you got? https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-back-glass-84008420?c=Zz1ib2R5JnM9Z2xhc3MtYW5kLWhhcmR3YXJlLWJhY2smbD00Jm49QXNzZW1ibGllcyBQYWdlJmE9Z21jJm89c2llcnJhLTE1MDAmeT0yMDE5JnQ9c2x0JmU9NS0zbC12OC1nYXM%3D
  21. Would you mind sharing the cost of the solid slider? I’m thinking about going this route within the next month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Is looking at the date of the original post (prior to replying) not a thing on this forum? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. It's really two separate issues, and the TSB calls it out. If the headliner is soaked, then it is the bolts/tabs/gaskets for the spoiler. If it is just water dripping off of the rails, then it is getting in via the cracked frame or lack of sealant between the glass and frame. I think that the best approach if you want to keep the slider would be: Remove spoiler and replace spoiler tabs/gaskets Remove and replace window, making sure that new window is fully sealed on the frame Seal top of window per TSB Reinstall Spoiler The problem with that approach is that it is detail oriented, and requires a tech that gives a sH@t
  24. I think the problem is likely a combination of engineering misses. These trucks have a spoiler that water can get past in multiple places, a weak window frame that cracks, a poor job of sealing the glass to the frame, tabs and bolts that pass through to the inside of the cab, and a gap between the spoiler/glass/frame that allows water and gravity to do its thing. My concern is that if you completely seal the bottom of the spoiler, the water that gets under it from the top and light will pool underneath. Then the path of least resistance takes the water through the tab and bolt holes. Not sealing the channel on top of the glass allows water to make it through the cracks and inside the truck, and it drips in along the rails inside. That is my conundrum when thinking of solutions to the problem. The only full proof solution at this point is to get a solid window. The downside of that is it will affect trade in value, because I am effectively removing a factory option.
