  1. I do live in an urban area. One that plows main roads, but many secondary and tertiary roads can go a day or two before they get to them. I have experienced crappy tires than come on brand new vehicles more than once, which is why I asked for reviews from people who actually have driven these in snow and inclement weather. The 2019 I am trading in rides on Cooper ATS3s right now, and they are amazing in the snow. Mediocre "do it all" tires in the snow, on hills, is not a good thing. I don't mind dropping the money on tires that will be good from the start. GM is known to go with the lowest cost option on everything. Maximizing profit means more than putting the best possible option on a vehicle, if the OK option makes them more money.
  2. I don't really have room to store a spare set of wheels and tires unfortunately. If the Alenzas are that bad in the first snow, I will likely replace them before the next storm.
  3. That's what I was looking for, Thanks! I will probably drive them through this winter, and then put something else on it. I was looking at the Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires. The reviews on them are great.
  4. Any of you with the Alenza's on the 22" rims have a review of them? I am driving out to IL on Sunday to pick up my '22 Denali, and while looking at Tire Rack I saw that the reviews for them are terrible. 33 reviews isn't a real sample size, but less than 3 stars isn't good. The truck will see mainly highway miles in the Northeastern US, and snow is a definite. Any reviews would be helpful. Thanks!
  5. That is where I have mine going as well. I shined a flashlight down into the rear channels, and they seem to be coated. 2 years with it that way so far, but I haven't inspected it since I did it.
  6. Anyone else notice that things like floor liners and performance accessories are gone from the GMC Accessories site? I was trying to look at floor liner and exhaust options last week, and when I went back last night they are all missing.
  7. I rolled the dice. Pacific Blue '22 Sierra Denali 6.2L with Denali Reserve package. Found it at Laura GMC and will be driving my '19 SLT out to them next Sunday for a Monday delivery and 13 hour drive home. Sales rep sent pics today with the wheels and tonneau cover installed. I'm excited!
  8. I would be picking this one up, or having it shipped from Laura GMC in IL. I am outside of Philly. Dealers around here only seem to get the Elevation and SLE models. If a Denali does show up, it is sold with a markup. I don't expect much below MSRP, if at all. Ideally the new one would have the DFM delete, but I haven't found that configuration yet.
  9. I have a '19 SLT 5.3 with 40K on it, and am contemplating a new truck. It is a Mexico build (3 VIN). What is the likelihood that this thing ****** the lifters? Not worth spending that kind of money if the engine is going to grenade itself with no parts availability.
  10. Thanks newdude. I figured that was going to be the case, but figured it was worth a shot. I will live with it as is, and just check it periodically. It seems the side latch locks it in place anyway, and the red clip is just an additional safety mechanism.
  11. This is what I am referring to https://imgur.com/a/NJ5fH0j
  12. Anyone know if/where I can buy the red locking clips for the dial connectors on the engine harness?
  13. I had this issue a couple of times with my 5.3 since I installed the Pulsar. Last time was about 6 weeks ago when driving home from the vet with my puppy on a 98 degree day. Finally got it home and remembered the fuse block TSB. All 4 bolts were over a turn out from the proper torque setting. Torqued them down properly, and haven't had it happen again. While sitting in a parking lot, I did try to just disconnect the Pulsar, and in the process popped off one of the red dial retainers. Anyone know if those can be purchased separately? I'm going to have to remove it before my inspection in December, so I may as well replace it when I do it.
  14. What are the part numbers I should be looking for with these shocks? I am tired of having the rear end feel like it is going to skip off the road when going around turns, and the front wheels feeling like they lose contact when going over bumps. I have the 20" wheels with Cooper AT3 4S tires on the truck.
  15. Thanks Nick. I ended up ordering and installing the Pulsar a couple of weeks ago. Wow, what a difference! All I can say now is that I am suspect that the AFM/DFM disabler was ever really working. (at least after I kicked it loose the first time). This thing definitely made it run like it should have from the factory. I didn't even bother adjusting the throttle response. I disabled auto stop/start, disabled DFM, and bumped the speed limiter a bit.
  16. Thanks BRPRacer! I was doing some reading through their forums, and it appears that once unlocked, the dealer can no longer reflash the ECU. I'm not sure that is a route I want to take while under warranty. Maybe the Pulsar LT is a better option for me. I have a Range AFM/DFM disabler, but I have kicked it loose a couple of times and the case is separating from the plug. I want something that is out of the way. For the price of the Range I have broken, buying another one already puts me in Pulsar territory and I get more functionality. I think that is probably my best route.
  17. Has anyone here purchased and used HP tuners for disabling DFM? There are some YT videos on it, but they all seem to be for pre 2019 models. The HP Tuners website lists the 19-21 5.3 as a programmable option, but doesn't say what can be programmed. I am going to reach out to HP Tuners when I get a chance, but figured I would check to see if anyone of you have done this.
  18. New Engine (with out the AFM) would be what I asked for.
  19. Mine has had the harsh downshift in the past, but only first thing in the morning on cool days. We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach last week and it started doing it consistently while we were in traffic. Freaked my wife out that we would break down on the way home to PA. I just passed 31K miles, so I guess it is time to take it to the dealer. No idea when I will be able to get an appointment because the dealership was hit by a tornado a few weeks ago, which destroyed half of the service department building. The other local dealer has been slammed ever since.
  20. If you don't have the 360 camera, all you will get is the red dots for collision avoidance.
  21. If you want to get them moving, create a separate post detailing the attempts at repair and this terrible outcome. Put it in a google review of the dealership, throw it on every Silverado/Sierra forum you can find, and send it to the Service Department manager and General Manager of the dealership. Squeaky wheels get the grease, and public image is everything to a car dealer.
  22. Call and file a complaint with GM Customer Care. 1 (888) 988-7267
  23. They replaced the arm under warranty last week. The blade is still streaking, although not as bad. I haven’t put a new blade on it yet, but will be doing that tomorrow morning. I’ll update after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It is a charcoal impregnated filter, and is a higher quality filter than your old one. Install it without another worry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
