  1. You could go expensive with a Deaver mini leaf pack: https://www.ebay.com/itm/225573485749 Or cheap no name: https://www.ebay.com/itm/282961450443
  2. I'd do an add a leaf to get the extra lift and leave the stock block. 4" you start to run into possible driveshaft angle issues that will cause vibration. I bought shock extenders and a 3" block for my Trail Boss but I haven't installed them or the front lift either.
  3. If you need a wrench for more than the first time you're changing the oil from the factory, you're doing it wrong. Smear oil on the seal and only turn 1/2 turn after it gets snug. Unless it's at a stupid angle that's impossible to grip, you should be able to remove it by hand. I had to use a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer to punch through the factory filter and spin it off on my 6.2.
  4. There's some torx bit screws holding the trim together on the back side of the wheel. Once you get that off you can remove the 2 screws holding the switch in place and unplug it from the harness in the wheel. Do the same with your existing wheel and swap the parts. I put a leather wrap wheel on my truck but it was a factory blem with a scratch on the right switch and had the High Country bronze trim. I pulled it apart to swap with the pieces from my stock wheel.
  5. I've found knock off ones on ebay for cheap. They look exactly the same, but made in China of course. I don't know where the Undercover ones are made though.
  6. Found a passenger side video that shows my concern blocking the 110V plug or 7 way RV plug in my case. Found proof they fit both sides of a Multi-Pro tailgate:
  7. Driver side install, but proof showing you HAVE to drill to install them.
  8. I'm sure they never tested it. The bed is exactly the same on the regular vs Multi-Flex. The driver side handle is the only thing different which just unbolts. I read the instructions for installation and all you do is drill a couple holes for the brackets to mount in the bed. The tailgate has nothing to do with installation. The bigger issue is that it blocks the 110V outlet if you have that option. I don't but I did install a 7 way 5th wheel wiring plug in the plastic plug location so I have 12V in the bed to run a cooler, my air compressor, or whatever else I want.
  9. You can use a passenger side swing case. You can use it on the driver side if you remove the flip up handle.
  10. I had a 2017 Wells Cargo 6x12 enclosed cargo trailer with all LED lighting and had no issues with my 21 Trail Boss Custom. It was a flat 4 trailer plug though. Is your boat trailer a 7 way plug? I have yet to tow a trailer with a 7 way connector.
  11. Only on the higher trim level with the 8" screen do you get the hitch view which is just a digital zoom. Standard 7" screen is only one view and the option to change the lines from parking to hitch guide view.
  12. Actually it doesn't change the VIEW of the camera, it just changes the overlay from the parallel lines for parking to a single line to line up the hitch ball.
  13. This is NOT an official GM site or any avenue to reach anyone at GM. It is a site to share information and ask questions to other owners. It is YOUR responsibility to contact your dealer or someone in GM customer service if you are so unhappy with your vehicle that magically keeps increasing in price since you joined yesterday. Originally it was $60K and now it's $64K a day later. Which is it? Sounds like you like to exaggerate a lot and don't know how to operate your own vehicle. Start with the owners manual. You might learn something!
  14. Coil spring vs leafs makes all the difference for ride quality. My Avalanche rides much smoother than my Silverado because it has rear coils vs leafs. Not sure why you jumped to Chevy from after 3 Dodges. The 22's don't help either. LOTS of unsprung weight there and stiff sidewall tires make the bumps more pronounced.
  15. Damn you're a grumpy old fart! I do agree on the interior lights. It's the worst part of the truck for me.
  16. Interesting video, but MAN he DRAGS it out on how/why it works. For the offroad stuff, I get what he's talking about. I'm not sure how much this applies to modern fuel injected vehicles with an enclosed filter housing whether it be stock replacement or a closed air box with a massive cone filter. If the K&Ns are so good then why do they sell pre-filters for them? Is it another revenue stream or to ease in cleaning since you can easily wash off the pre filter and not have to deal with the pleats and oiled cotton holding the dirt in the filter itself.
  17. You don't have to put the winch in it, but the looks and added lights are worth more than the stupid $300 plastic piece with decorative LED lights.
  18. $300 for a non functional piece of plastic is not bad????? I'd rather put something metal on there like their hidden winch bumper that could be useful for $700 plus the cost of the winch. https://www.roughcountry.com/chevy-hidden-winch-bumper-10805.html?find=2021-chevy-silverado-1500-4wd-750287
  19. I believe they are a welded on nut. There's no way to access them without cutting holes in the sheet metal. I'd buy a tap that's the right size and re-thread the nut. If it's too stripped out, go up one size and buy the appropriate bolt.
  20. I've been running AFE dry flow filters on several vehicles. You'd just need to find measurements for what you have and see what they offer that's the same or close.
  21. Holy hell! I thought guys that could afford new or nearly new trucks were smarter than this! Buy wheels that fit!!!! Might I introduce you all to a YouTube channel called Just Rolled In? https://www.youtube.com/@JustRolledIn
  22. If you're not in a hurry, order what you want. I ordered mine because I was looking for a Custom trim level Trail Boss. I ended up going with the 6.2. Had I known gas prices were going to spike, the diesel would have been nice, but was not available on the Custom trim in 21. Everybody tells horror stories of how long it took when they ordered. Mine showed up in 5 weeks! It arrived 5/20/21.

  24. No, I just had to search listings for them till I found a place that had both the left and right.
