It specifically says on Diablo's website you have to send your ORIGINAL ECM, you can't send them a different ECM. You can't swap another ECM into your truck as a backup either as it will freak out having a different VIN in the ECM than the other computers in the truck. I see the rest of the Holley owned companies now offer the same setup.

I purchased the ESI "Original and Patented Tailgate Seal with Taper Seal" that works for the MultiPro and Multi-Flex tailgates. It looks about the same as the above product. It was under $30 shipped off ebay. I have a Retrax MX Pro tonneau and it works fine with it. I did have to double up the seal at the top on the bed side. Trying to put it on the tailgate side as shown in the video above didn't properly seal the gap.

I had to redo my harness and add a relay after I added the GM step lights and replaced the LED's from the kit with brighter ones I found on ebay. When the cargo lights were on it would cause the lights I added to flash and go off along with the lights in the bed. I used the far side of the tapped wires with the diode as inputs to trigger the relay from either the reverse lights or cargo lights. I tapped the Curt RV harness for the 12 volt + to power the lights. Now everything works as it should.

You can't just add it. My dealer looked into it when they were trying to find a Trail Boss Custom with the MultiFlex tailgate. The box wiring harness is totally different for the tailgate and in order to add it would run about $3K.

I'm looking to use the VViViD air release film as in the video above. I'm trying to decide if I want a straight tinted film or the hex tinted film they have. I'm also considering a sapphire tint for the headlights.

Did it come with the front wings color matched? All the SEO colors I've seen are black because the maker of those parts doesn't paint them in SEO colors. I wanted yellow or orange but didn't know how long it would take to come in and both colors are solids and not metallics which I would prefer, so I went with Shadow Gray. Plus I'd HAVE to have the wings and possibly the cab spoiler painted to match which I don't know how much the dealer would have charged to do that.

Or just buy a Whipple or Magnuson kit that fit the 6.2 and will bump you up to 650HP without a tune running 5-8psi of boost.

$1200 for adding a factory mirror and 3rd brake light cam???? That's NUTS!!! My plan is to purchase a factory 3rd brake light with the camera hole. I don't want the factory camera as it doesn't have an RCA output. I already have a Boyo replacement mirror with built in 4.3" display and 2 RCA video inputs that I picked up on ebay for $25. I plan on using one for a front camera and the other for the 3rd brake light camera which I should be able to turn on via the mirror and having a positive trigger for the camera. I have a couple different cameras laying around I purchased for other vehicles and didn't get to install or if those don't work, there's all kinds of cheap cameras on ebay, I just need to find a style that fits the factory 3rd brake light.

You can buy plastic or chrome metal hole plugs from Home Depot or Lowes. You just need to know what size you need. They're in the nuts and bolts and other hardware section in the drawers. The plastic ones I found were only in white so you could paint them to match. I'm not sure how great the chrome is on the metal ones if you have a chrome bumper and live anywhere there's salt.

VHT sprays flat black, not glossy. I used it years ago on the turn signals on my 86 S10 before there were any aftermarket options. Rustoleum has a lens tint paint as well, but I haven't used it. I have found that at Walmart. VHT is available at Autozone and probably other parts stores. I'm going to try vinyl wrapping my lights with some tint film and see how that works. These factory LED tail lights are too expensive to mess up with VHT!

Currently Diablosport is the only one with a tuner. The catch is it's expensive and you have to send them your ECU so they can decrypt it and send it back to you so you can then update it with the tuner. This voids any factory warranty. I was talking to someone from Livernois motorsports out of Detroit and HP Tuners is doing a hack where they modify the ECU with a non encrypted chip and then you can use HP Tuners to tune it. He said Livernois is working on their own tuning at this time. I had previously talked to Lingenfelter about their superchargers and they didn't have tunes worked out yet but had bypassed the encryption but the guy wouldn't say how. The Livernois guy said Lingenfelter uses HP Tuners so they are using the replacement chip hack.

What did you use to plug into the other side of the reverse light wire on the Putco harness? It looked like it had an OEM type weather seal connector but only the one side and not a pigtail to splice into the other side. I'm guessing it only works with the Putco blade light.

GMC and Chevy doors are different. The body lines are different where the mirrors mount. There's another thread on here of someone replacing regular mirrors and thought the GMC and Chevy's were the same and they didn't fit and had a gap like you are describing when they put a Chevy mirror on their GMC.

As usual, the dealer people are idiots. I connect just fine to the hotspot on my phone. I don't have the ability to download apps on my IOR radio, but it checks for updates just fine when connected to my hotspot. I played with the built in wifi when I had the trial but that was it.

I love my muffler/flapper delete on my 6.2! Resonators are still in place. I get some weird noises from the DFM around 1700-1800, but once it drops below that on the highway it's fine. It has a great throaty growl all around. Guess it's true "If it's too loud, you're too old!"

So I finally got to messing with my lights the other night after reading this and being disappointed the Curt RV harness I bought wouldn't work to tap the lights. I pulled the passenger tail light to see what the wires were for the bed lights and reverse lights. I built a harness from a 2 wire plug at my 2"x2" lights I mounted either side of the hitch. I used the black wire from the tail light harness for ground using T Taps. I tapped the blue wire for the cargo lights and the light green for reverse. I put diodes on both of those wires so I wouldn't get any back feed through the circuit since they combine to the positive wire of the LEDs. Now I have additional backup lights down low and can turn them on as cargo lights for hooking up a trailer or seeing behind at night if loading stuff up.

There's gloss black stick on pieces for sale on ebay. I'm actually going to buy black stainless ones to match the Putco black stainless letters in my Custom grill.

I'm considering adding an additional rear view camera since I purchased a Boyo mirror with two inputs. I intend to use one for the front for parking and off roading and the rear just because I can. I want a factory 3rd brake light with the bedview camera just without the factory camera so I can fit an aftermarket in there that will have an RCA style video plug on the other end. I've run across a Rostra rear view replacement mirror that has a built in front camera on the backside of the mirror and has an input for a rear camera as well, but I believe it only records on the front camera.

If it's too loud, you're too old! 3 days after getting mine I chopped the flapper and muffler off and put in a Magnaflow straight pipe. I love the sound. The DFM is kind of annoying at times but at highway speeds I have no issues.

I highly doubt it's going to crack. From what I could tell it looks more like ABS plastic than whatever the factory is using. This is on my want to buy list after seeing his video of it the other day. I didn't know it had been out for almost 2 years already. Stillen's website seems to be the only place to buy it.

It has two tabs that hold it in place. You have to just stick your fingers through the grill above it and feel the tabs and push them to the side to pop it off.
