  1. I guess I don't backup enough to worry about the quality of the camera. Now I didn't upgrade to the huge Tesla type screen but I did do the Pioneer 6000NEX 10.1 screen and the image is fine with that one. I did see a post on FB about a camera that was on discount from Rockauto that was like $40 but they sold out before I could get one. $40 is a lot better than $200 especially since I don't reverse much
  2. Thats actually pretty cool. You got an idea on how to avoid dropping the oil cap? I have dropped that about every time i check my oil.
  3. aftermarket is always better in my opinion. I have a single cab as well. Pioneer DMH-WT6000 NEX (ordered today) currently has the 8600NEX. Kenwood EXcelon KFC-XP6902C components upfront, JBL Stadium 4x6 in the rear, Kenwood Excelon XR401-4 amp and the Rockford 12inch P300-12T. Not a high dollar system but I'm pretty happy. Good Luck
  4. wow, no response from anyone other than sarcasm
  5. JimCost2014.....whats so dam funny?
  6. Hello all....2014 Silverado Lt Shortbed/standard cab and the truck has been lowered with the Rough Country 2/4 drop. Truck has developed awful creaking noises over speed bumps and even at just normal take off from a stop light. Are there any areas I can grease or lube? Any help/ideas would be appreciated. The truck has started to sound like me in the mornings....crackling and creaking but I'm a lot older than the truck.
  7. 2014 Silverado 4.3 210,000 miles and I have had the truck for 2 years. I have started noticing an issue with starting. Doesn't happen every time but it does seem to be a little more frequent now that it has turned a little cooler. I do not know how old the battery is but terminals are tight and clean. Found a Youtuber that said trade relays under the hood(starter/trailer). I did this and the truck immediately started but when I shut it off after a 20 minute drive, it would not start right away. After sitting at work for 8 hours, truck fired right back up with no issues. Anyone ever dealt with this issue? Thanks Could this all be battery related?
  8. Has anyone ever used Seat shop to recover your stock seats?
  9. c'mon man, you are just hiding the rust instead of taking care of it.
  10. I don't but I will try to remember to take some tomorrow and post for you.
  11. Console Assembly- PART NUMBER CHANGED TO 23466980 23359405 23467516 84054362 22817347 check out those part numbers from GMpartsnow.com $644.00 including shipping. They shipped it all for $54 bucks, there is usually a special on shipping. I have used them several times.
  12. i swapped harnesses and I am not using the Maistro and the controls are illuminated.
  13. Hard for me to see spending that much money on an no name brand, no offense. I spent about the same on my Pioneer 8600NEX. Screen is not as big but I just trust a name like Pioneer that I have known all my life. Got the Maistro RR harness that retains all the stock settings. Also, I am not an Android guy so that probably plays a big part as well.
  14. I have not tried just yet The LED strip needs to be wired in with the housing
  15. Wife picked up a pair of these for Christmas and I like the looks of them. No instructions were included and even after contacting the seller, they were no help. My question is what is the best way to wire the LED strips? Would you guys hook these up to be the same as DRL? Looking for some suggestions. Thanks
  16. I would guess your best bet would be checking out the JL stealth boxes. I have had JL's before and loved them. As you probably know, there aren't many options and none will probably give you what you are accustomed to.
  17. This is what I am using now. Plenty of bass for this old man in my 2014. Rockford Fosgate P300-8P Punch Series compact 300-watt powered 8" subwoofer at Crutchfield
  18. I changed the stereo and the steering wheel control switches about the same time, so I wasn't sure why the new ones didn't illuminate. Now I know!
  19. very cool mod but a little pricey $674.99
  20. I was able to swap mine to HID's before the truck was lowered. But removing the bumper doesn't take that long either
  21. I tried this method as well but didn't help me, worth a shot though. I bought the truck used and I was just glad it wasn't a condenser.
  22. I just had one replaced in my 2014 by a local shop, I would probably take it somewhere and let them diagnose which one is bad. They just labeled mine as temp door actuator. This was located up high in the dash, between the glovebox and radio. A few years ago, I would have tackled this myself but I am not as young as I use to be.
  23. this would be front only
