I couldn't really find any reviews or info for the 4 inch belltech lift kit online. It seemed too good to be true as it's priced under $1200 CAD. Height Adjustable front struts, UCA's, rear shocks, rear blocks, and a skid plate. I decided to take a gamble and get this kit over bilstein and fox. I am extremely impressed. Belltech claims this is the best riding lift kit and I have to agree. I had bilstein 5100 on my f150 and I'd have to say I prefer belltech both on and off road. Significant improvement over the OEM Ranchos. With the Ranchos I had quite a bit of body roll when cornering. The steering felt unresponsive and wallowy. When I hit a bump, dip, railroad tracks or any imperfection in the road it felt like my truck got launched into the stratosphere and it would bounce several times before stabilizing. That has all been corrected with the belltech shocks. No body roll, steering feels tight and responsive. The compression and rebound are tuned perfectly for these trucks. The ride is quite a bit firmer but it stays controlled and composed and does an incredible job at smoothing out any imperfection. Offroad I am equally as impressed as the on road performance. I did a test drive up a decommissioned logging road that hasn't been maintained in years. The ride felt smooth, controlled, and handled large pot holes with ease. with the stock suspension and even the bilstein 5100 on my previous truck, I had quite a bit of chatter if I picked up speed. Didn't get any chatter with the belltech kit. The UCA's are quite beefy and even have grease zerks which is typically only found on higher end kits. No loss in turning radius. The skid plate is nothing fancy but does what it's intended to do. I highly recommend this kit if you're looking for a 4 or 6 inch lift. At the price they're asking it may even be worth it to get this kit over a level. I am running 285/75/17 on 0 offset wheels with no rub so you could fit a 34" tire. https://www.belltech.com/gm-trucks-lifting-kits#20192020

A year later I finally got my lift and tires. 4 inch belltech kit with black rhino reno and 285/75/17 toyo at3. Love how it turned out. Handling is significantly improved over the Ranchos. -
I'm considering a belltech 4 inch lift kit for my 2021 sierra 1500 elevation. I can't really find any reviews online so not sure about the ride quality and durability. I regularly go off road but nothing extreme. Just fire roads and decommissioned logging roads. The price seems too good to be true for a full kit with UCA's and skid plate (although very cheap) included. My other option is spending $400 more for a superlift 3 inch kit with bilstein 5100 although I would prefer the 4 inch lift.

Paint chips in front of rear tires
Digger87 replied to Digger87's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Hmm, xpel is what I had done. They said they have tried on other GM trucks with no success. it looked great for a few months and then it peeled/bubbled apparently. I'm considering doing line x there. I have running boards ordered but they are currently out of stock so just waiting. Would that protect the paint? -

Truck is 100% stock. Elevation x31. I've driven on a gravel road maybe 3 times since I've owned it. My 2011 F150 had 34x12 duratracs on aftermarket wheels. Off road almost every weekend. Not a single chip on the side panels after 12 years of ownership. -
Paint chips in front of rear tires
Digger87 posted a topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
I noticed today that my 2021 1500 has at least a dozen paint chips in front of the rear tires on both sides. The section of the panel that flares out. I've only had my truck 3 months. My truck is already wrapped with PPF and ceramic coat. The shop said they could not wrap the panels that have textured paint due to air bubbles forming over time and the ppf doesn't stay on. Does anyone have a solution to this? -

Knocking sound from rear end 21 sierra 1500

Thank you for the suggestion but I believe the trail boss and x31 have different shocks (I could be wrong). I installed the spring things and the noise is gone so it was the leaf springs -

Thank you! I won't bother with the dealer then. I'll order the spring things -
Just purchased a 2021 sierra 1500 Duramax. I've owned it about 5 weeks now and it was smooth and silent up until a few days ago. I'm now getting a knock/clunk coming from the rear end. It happens when I'm driving slowly going over bumps or when turning. I did some research on this forum and narrowed it down to defective leaf springs or it's the DEF sloshing around and making noise. I jumped up and down in the bed like a crazy person. The leaf springs were silent but I did hear the DEF tank although it wasn't the same sound. Could it be anything else? I'm taking it to the dealer next week but as we all know, more often than not they are absolutely horrible at diagnosing strange noises so I'd like to make some suggestions for them.

I'm just curious how you guys are getting updates on the build progress of your truck. I ordered a 2022 elevation 3.0 Duramax around the start of Nov. Dealer told me they can't give me an ETA or update, they have no way of getting that info. Basically I just have to wait until it shows up at their lot. They estimate 6 to 8 months. If I get sick of waiting I can cancel and get my deposit back. I'm in Canada so maybe it's different here. I'm not sure. Also they told me there's a parts shortage for the 3.0 so there's a possibility they may not even build it at all. Any truth to this? Searched online but could only find info about the halt in production for 2021.

Wow, that's good mileage! 5.3? I'm waiting on my 2022 elevation diesel still but my 2011 F150 with 33's only gets 14 mpg

Which lift kit did you go with? I think it looks great. You'll appreciate the rake whenever you haul a heavy load.

20/20 GMC Sierra x31 front leveling kit
Digger87 replied to Brad Walters's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Has anyone measured the height difference with the 2 inch level? On my F150 I could have sworn the front was higher but after measuring, it turns out the front was lower by 1/4." Still waiting on my 2022 elevation to arrive but interested in possibly doing a level. -
Offroad capability of a stock x31/Z71
Digger87 replied to Digger87's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Thats exactly the piece I was worried about. Didn't realize they added an additional air dam under the bumper. Looks easy enough to remove. Thanks for pointing that out. -

I'm in BC, Canada. Picture is from an FSR in squamish. Here's another shot from one of my adventures -
Offroad capability of a stock x31/Z71

When I saw the truck in person the clearance looked tight. I was thinking 275/65/20 with the gm 2 inch lift. -

Digger87 replied to Digger87's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Thank you for all the input! Very helpful. I should have been more clear. I am not doing any off road trail, wheeling or rock crawling. I am only driving up forest service roads and logging roads to get to mountain bike trails so the roads are nothing extreme. My only concern is hitting the front bumper with the low ground clearance. Basically I'm just hoping it can go everywhere my F150 is able to take me. Picture shown is about as gnarly as the roads get. Sometimes after lots of traffic they can be covered with large loose rocks. -
I recently ordered a 2022 sierra elevation with the x31 package. I do a fair amount of off roading (more like soft roading) on FSR's and decommissioned logging roads. My 2011 f150 has about 11 inches ground clearance (with a leveling kit and 33's) while the sierra only has 8.1 inches so I'm a little concerned about it's off roading capabilities. I'd like to avoid adding a leveling kit/lift until the warranty is up. Hoping someone here has a stock Z71 or x31 and can share their experience with off roading.

Buy a 2021 sierra or wait for 2022?
Digger87 replied to Digger87's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Good to hear you love your diesel! Beautiful truck. Good point about the larger screen and shifter taking up space. That's definitely a deal breaker for me. I went to the dealer today and finally test drove a diesel. Literally blew me away. I did not expect the torque. My phone flew off the dash and landed in the back seat lol. The interior was much nicer than I expected (huge upgrade over my current truck) and I can see myself being happy with it for many years. Maybe Canada is different, I'm not sure but the manager told me there's already a 6 to 8 month lead time for the diesel 2022 LTD so if I wanted the new interior I could be waiting a year or longer (for a custom order). Ended up ordering an elevation LTD. My blood pressure definitely spiked when I saw the price but I guess that's what trucks cost these days. -

Digger87 replied to Digger87's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Ya good deals right now, even on a custom order. I know for sure the new interior will get a price increase and that worries me as trucks are already ridiculously expensive. As for durability, I meant the interior. I'm pretty hard on my truck due to my job and lifestyle. -

Digger87 replied to Digger87's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
All good points, thank you for the input. My budget is 65k CAD which is about the price for a loaded elevation. I really wish they would share pricing info for the new model, would make my decision a lot easier. I do a fair amount of off roading and and I have a dirty job (heavy equipment operator) so durability is most important to me. -
Hey everyone, hoping to get some advice. I currently own a 2011 F150 which I bought new 10 years ago. Due to astronomical gas prices in canada (I pay $220 per fill up) I'm looking to replace it with a sierra elevation 3.0 diesel. My local dealer has the exact truck I want. 2021 Crew cab, blacked out with black emblems, fully loaded and x31 offroad package. It's about 4k cheaper compared to new as it's an ex demo. For those of you with the current sierra, are you happy with the interior? If you had the option would you rather have the new interior? Either way, the sierra will be a huge upgrade from my basic F150 XLT interior. Any advice would be appreciated as this will be my first GM. Included is the picture of the truck I'm considering buying
