  1. You will not get the VIN until the vehicle is built.
  2. Mine was ordered and accepted by Chevrolet on 5/12, built 6/08 and placed on a rail car 06/23 in Oshawa, but the rail car hasn't left the yard as of yesterday. I'm assuming I'll see it mid to late July. Oshawa seems to be the black hole of the two plants and no one can predict when it will leave and the bad thing is you won't know which plant it was built at until the window sticker is released. That's if you ordered a crew cab, standard bed. Everything else is built in Michigan.
  3. On 2024, HDs they removed the 12V power outlet. I believe on non-HDs, they started removing them on 2023's .
  4. No, the tail light thing doesn't change anything. Mine was built without them and was given the $50 credit after the fact. If they have them, they will install them, if they don't they give you a $50 credit. Your dealer can "Place" an order but that doesn't mean anything until the constraints are lifted and they actually have an allocation available that week. If the constraints are lifted and they don't have an allocation, the order will still be pending. If they get an allocation and the constraints are still magically not there, then GM will accept your order and then you are just in a waiting pattern until it gets scheduled to be built. So the wait could take a very long time because no one knows the constraints until they are released each Thursday.
  5. Thanks! Mine has been built since 6/08 and is still sitting in Oshawa. Kind of hoping it would ship and be delivered by the end of the month, but I doubt that will happen. I wish there was a better way to get updates.
  6. Did they tell you what day of the week the system updates?
  7. That stinks, but at least they are ordering them at their expense and you get what you wanted. I'm just hoping something breaks loose at the Oshawa plant for Chevy's and they can start shipping them out. My dealer currently has 8 sitting up there, including mine waiting for delivery.
  8. According to the Chevy chat box, my order was built last week, so now its the waiting game to see which plant it was built at and when it will ship.
  9. Interesting, the LB went off constraint for 2 weeks and came back on now. Curious why they can't source them or they are hoarding them for dealer WT stock possibly.
  10. I'm not sure if it was GMC or Chevy, but one of them scrapped the blue color for 2024 and will be offering it for 2025.
  11. Got my TPW this week of 6/05. So that's a little over 3 weeks from order to production, if the 6/05 date holds steady. Now the question is which plant it will be built at and how long will shipping take. I did notice that they are crediting orders $50 dollars because the animated led taillights are having supply issues and not being installed. They are just installing steady led taillights intead.
  12. Have you read the comments on that video? haha. It seems as the ford apparently kept chasing gears while the Chevy held steady and maintained momentum, but the Ford fan boys state that's how a truck should run (referring to the ford). I don't own either and currently own a RAM, which is being traded in on a Chevy, but I don't believe they should be searching for gears that much. I follow him as well but I haven't made it through all the parts in this series.
  13. Well, found out it is at status code 3400 today, but dealer couldn't tell me what the TPW was, so I believe that is partially good news :). I ordered May 12th.
  14. Has anyone used CRC rust inhibitor spray on their truck? Based on various independent reviews, it seems that stuff is the best DIY stuff right now. I've used it on all my previous vehicles and not once had an issue. This is my first Chevy, so I'm not sure if that affects anything Chevy already does to the truck. Is it beneficial recoating the frame?
  15. Question, after your order has been accepted how long does it usually take to get scheduled for production?
