I sure hope not. Exactly. 3.08's are terrible, regardless of the transmission. Thank you. Someone else who gets it. An 8-speed is great, but the final drive ratio is what really matters as far as drive-ability goes. I have no interest in driving a truck that down-shifts from 8th to 7th every time I sneeze or cough, haha

As stated, the MSRP isn't the deciding factor. Incentives will make all the difference. I really like the looks of the new Colorado, but a Silverado for the same money (or just a couple grand more) is a no-brainer. The MSRP is inflated on all GM trucks (in my opinion) so a good incentive/rebate program might make these trucks worth looking at. Otherwise, I'll buy a HD gasser and have a whole lot more truck for the money. -

I couldn't find one like I wanted within 750 miles of where I live. There were a couple with the 6.2, but they were crew cab LTZ models, which were way out of my price range. A middle of the road (option wise) truck with the 6.2 is very rare. -

Are you sure about that? Dealers do that all of the time. It's very common to install new tires that require a different PSI than the stockers. It may be illegal to turn the TPMS off completely...but I was unaware it was illegal to change the PSI range. -

Well it sounds like you have already checked most of the possible causes. My only other idea is that maybe one of the sensors has gone bad.
