This post was a roller coaster of emotions for me! I was happy for you that your vibration was an easy fix with those clips. Then, got mad about the accident because I know how hard it is to have nice things. Then looked closer and actually laughed at how ridiculous the whole thing probably seemed when that guy just started trying to cram his mirror up your ass while you were just cruising down the road. And, I'm a huge tire and wheel guy...so the last pic had me thinking, "Dang, that's a good looking combo!"....and then I was rolling when I saw the MJ gif, haha! This. To the OP, can you tell if the blocks and u-bolts look the same on both sides? The blocks are probably tapered a little to adjust the pinion angle. The shorter end should be pointing towards the front of the truck. You should have the same amount of u-bolt coverage on both sides. And, the blocks have a centering pin that will make sure they're sitting on the exact same place on the axle. If any of these things are off, then your axle may have shifted.

The 305/65/18's that were posted look really great. I'd say that's probably about the max size, without doing any trimming. Some other popular sizes to consider with a level kit are 275/70/18, 305/60/18, 285/65/18, and 33x12.50x18.

That looks really good! Did you do something different to raise the rear of your truck? It looks taller in the back than most with the RC 2.5" lift.

If you don't want any rubbing at all, I'd say either a 285/55/20, 305/50/20, or a 275/60/20.

No. That's over 35" tall. You'll be lucky to squeeze a 295/60/20, and that might even require some trimming.

Yes, I think a 275/60/20 will fit without any lift modifications. Some guys have ran a 275/70/18 without any lift, which is actually a little taller than a 275/60/20. I think you'll be fine. Most tire shops will let you test fit a tire to make sure it fits before you buy a whole set. It's called your 'signature.' To get to it, click on your screen name in the upper right corner of your screen. Then, click on 'My Settings.' You'll see a tab for 'signature' on the left. Hey thanks!

Yeah if your main goal is a better ride, then stay away from a leveling kit or any other suspension mods that will raise the ride height. And, unfortunately, only adding 0.5" of sidewall to your tires probably won't make enough difference to even notice. Honestly, I can't really tell much difference between 18" and 20" wheels, as far as the ride is concerned. You actually have one of the best riding trucks on the market today...

Guys have been running the 275/60/20's with a 2.25-2.5" front level. Some have rubbed a little bit on the fender liner, some haven't. It's about the limit. That tire isn't very wide, but it's over 34" tall, so that's why it rubs. A safe bet would be the 275/60/20. It's the same width, but only 33" tall.

They are??? I've seen guys running that size without any lift at all on stock rims...and no rubbing

Those coopers you're running are more aggressive than the BFG's....but your truck always looks pretty clean to me!

Lots of good looking trucks in here, fellers. If they don't bring graystone metallic back, I'm definitely going to be considering this color for my next truck. I like it a lot.

Do you have previous experience with changing gears? It's a pretty involved process. I've been around it enough to know that it's something left to a professional, haha. And, you're figuring the cost of a tune into your budget, right?

That's a good looking factory option. Those colors blend well together. I really wish they made the 6.2 available in the medium trim levels.

I agree. 6th gear with 3:42's is almost useless, even with 32" tires. Maybe the 2500HD's will get 4:10's with the 8-speed. A 6.2, 8-speed, and 4:10's would be a blast to drive. As much as I hate to say it, I've considered getting a Ford Super Duty for my next rig, because you can get a 4:30 rear end with the gas engine.

Exactly. I understand that a small truck will suit some people just fine, and if they can save a few grand in the process, that's even better. I was just sharing my personal opinion (doesn't make it right or wrong) that I would rather pay a few thousand more and have a more capable truck. I've always liked larger trucks, and I actually use my truck as a truck (towing and hauling)...so for me, more is better. Other people may have different wants/needs, and that's just fine.

I sure hope not. Exactly. 3.08's are terrible, regardless of the transmission. Thank you. Someone else who gets it. An 8-speed is great, but the final drive ratio is what really matters as far as drive-ability goes. I have no interest in driving a truck that down-shifts from 8th to 7th every time I sneeze or cough, haha
