  1. Thank you! Yes, I think you'll be fine with that setup!
  2. I"m guessing that was directed towards me. I don't have any pictures in my gallery, but here's a link to the build thread where I posted pictures of my truck along the way:
  3. If you're sticking with the stock 17's, then 285/75/17 are probably the largest you can go. You can view my build thread for pics of that setup before cranking my torsion bars and changing my wheels. 295/70/17 should also fit easily too.
  4. There's exactly 1" difference in height between those 2 sizes. They'll be the same width and the same sidewall height. The only difference is the rim size, which will increase the overall diameter by 1".
  5. Yes, a 0 offset would put them farther away from the suspension components....but that will also mean that they're closer to the fenders (or inner fender carpet liners) when you turn the wheels. Wheel offset will change the arc they travel when turning.
  6. Digging the less rim, more tire look!
  7. Sharp rig! Already cranked the keys a few turns and added some 34" tires?
  8. Oh Mylanta! That's a whole lot of truck! Very nice unit!
  9. I'm not a fan of lowering trucks.....but the rear block is 1.25". So, removing that will lower the rear 1.25". Most trucks have 2"-2.5" of rake, so you probably won't end up exactly level...but you'll have less rake than you do now. I'd say try that first, and see how you like it. You could always add a small leveling kit to the front in the future if you wanted. That being said, trucks that are "exactly level" have always looked nose-high to me for some reason. 285/55/20 should fit without any trouble at all. In fact, they'll probably fit without any lift at all. If you're wanting to run BFG AT's, then I'd recommend the 275/60/20 because of the extra height. They should fit fine with a 2" level.
  10. Very nice! Great choice on the wheels and tires!
  11. Nice! I really didn't think that size would fit without raising the front end a little. Looks great!
  12. Thanks for the kind words! I'm very happy with my truck. And, welcome to the good side, haha! I haven't really made any additional changes recently, but I'm planning to update this thread in the spring, when I can get some good pictures.
  13. I agree 100%. Too many people try to lug them like a big block or a diesel. It's an LS based motor...let that sucker scream!
  14. Awesome! That's a beautiful area! I've ridden 4-wheelers all around the national forest NE of Gunnison in the summer time. Good luck with the hunt! I'm sure the snow makes hiking even more of a challenge!
  15. Nice! I'm jealous! I've been out there camping/4-wheeling many times, but my work schedule hasn't allowed me to do any hunting. What part of the state?
  16. Looks great! Nice choice of rims!
  17. A 2500 with a level will have about as much fender clearance as a 1500 with a 4" lift....so if that guy was rubbing with -44 and 33x12.5....then there's no way you'll clear a 35" without cutting a lot of metal. I don't think you'll even be able to clear a 33x12.5 and -44 with a 2.5" lift....without cutting metal.
  18. Nice looking tires! Let us know how they perform this winter!
  19. I've heard lots of guys say those Ford 6.2's are strong. Never driven one myself. I wonder about their longevity compared to the GM 6.0 though. Does your work truck have 3:73 or 4:30 gears?
  20. LOL! I'll take the current design and 12 mpg instead!
  21. Agreed. I used to be on the direct injection bandwagon, because of the increased HP and MPG the 5.3 & 6.2 received when they went to DI.....but now that the jury is out, I'm glad my old dinosaur 6.0 doesn't have it, haha.
  22. I agree completely. I've had Cooper AT3's before, and they were great tires, but I went with the Falkens this time around. I liked the aggressive sidewall and large tread blocks of the Falken better than the Cooper, and the price was very similar.
  23. Mine seemed to just fix itself at about 8000 miles, haha.
  24. Looking forward to the pictures!! What size did you go with?
